Congratulations on your new job at WJFK. It proves keeping your bridges pays off in the future.

So true.  Life and this business is way more about who you know, not what you know...

I have some questions and wanted to know if you will address them in a public announcement.

1. Will the on air shows be available in a podcast? Some of us like me do not live in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
Yes!  The 1st show will likely be available via the NEXTcast RSS feed, but after that all the shows should be available on WJFK.com.  As a favor to us, it'd be great to get as many subscribers to the WJFK feed to show off our online following.

2. Will the on air show be available via the WJFK stream? Sometimes WJFK's stream is not always working, hence the podcast question.
Absolutely!  The link is on HideoutRadio.com.

3. Any plans to expand your show's broadcast to other nights?
We obviously still want to work 5 days a week, but we're happy with Saturday nights on 'JFK until something presents itself.

4. Will you touch base with Don and Mike? Call their show to generate some pub? I always enjoyed your interaction with them and thought they were always sincere with the both of you.
We'd love to.  Don has been a mentor to us and it would be great to interact with the show again.

5. I hope both of you are being compensated well, enough to justify the move and the potential income you would've received from your second jobs (even though the jobs may not have been ideal).
We are doing the show in Tampa from the same studios we did the 2nd New York NEXT week and recorded the NEXTcasts.

Congrats again and good luck.

I look forward to hearing you on the air.

Bill
Connecticut

Thanks!

Marilyn Manson's This is the New $Hit (edited version).

We're all huge Manson fans, and if you read the lyrics below, you'll probably find the song applies to music AND radio.  That's why we chose it.

"This Is The New Shit"

Everything has been said before
There's nothing left to say anymore
When it's all the same
You can ask for it by name

Babble babble bitch bitch
Rebel rebel party party
Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence"
Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely
Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in:
Everybody sing along.
Babble babble bitch bitch
Rebel rebel party party
Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence"
Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely
Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in:
Everybody sing,
Are you motherfuckers ready
For the new shit?
Stand up and admit,
tomorrow's never coming.
This is the new shit.
Stand up and admit.
Do we get it? No.
Do we want it? Yeah.
This is the new shit,
Stand up and admit.

And now it's "you know who"
I got the "you know what"
I stick it "you know where"
You know why, you don't care.
And now it's "you know who"

So,
LET US ENTERTAIN YOU
LET US ENTERTAIN YOU...
Blah blah blah blah everybody sing along.

"5000" is an old school way of saying goodbye in "da hood."  At the end of Boyz 'N the Hood, Doughboy (Ice Cube) says it to Tre (Cuba Gooding, Jr.).
We started using it when Bi-Curious BJ said it at the end of a phone call one night during the v1.0 shows.  We thought it was so stupid and out of touch thus making it hilarious.
While mainly used at the end of the show to say "goodbye," we will throw it back to a Heretic who ends a call with it.

Jefe
