A Swedish alternative rock band with a post-grunge style, Hide the Knives made their Top Ten hit album debut in 2009 with Savior for Sale.
Founded in 2007 in Gothenburg, Sweden, with ties to Chicago, IL, the band is comprised of Glen Gilbert (vocals), Martin Johansen (guitar), Magnus Persson (bass), and Ola Lindström (drums). Influenced chiefly by American alternative rock bands including Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, and Tool, Hide the Knives made their recording debut in 2008 with the single "Honey." The band subsequently made its full-length album debut in 2009 with Savior for Sale on the Gain Music Entertainment label. A Top Ten hit on the Swedish albums chart, Savior for Sale spawned the singles "Holy Banner" and "Savior for Sale," in addition to "Honey." ~ Jason Birchmeier
