Hey everyone. Hope you all will have a safe and fun 4th of July. Of course we will be in Las Vegas performing on Freemont Street that night. If you're in Las Vegas I'd love to see you all there. After the show on Freemont St we'll be going to the Hard Rock Hotel for a little impromptu acoustic shin dig at Wasted Space. Just a few songs and a little hang out. It's Jesse our bass player's birthday and anyone who goes has to buy him a gin and tonic. Hope to see you all on Freemont St and at Wasted Space. If not, be safe. I've been hit with SO many fireworks over the years. Not fun.

Happy 4th,

Doug Robb

Ya like robots? Who doesn’t? Everyone likes robots. And hot chicks with robots. So do we. And that’s why we have our song, DON'T THINK I LOVE YOU, on the soundtrack to Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, which comes out this Tuesday the 23rd, a day before the movie opens.

Hello everyone. I hope you all are well. This Sunday June 14th I will be attending a charity fund raiser for YESICAN.ORG which provides support groups for those who have been abused. The main focus is towards abused kids but that is not it's only focus. It's goal is to break the cycle of abuse. The event is called "Strike Against Child Abuse to Spare the Kids". It's a bowling event at Canoga Park Bowl. The address is 20122 Vanowen St. Winnetka CA 91306. $15 includes 2 games of bowling, shoe rental, light lunch and entertainment for kids. There will also be a silent auction with signed Hoobastank CD's, drumsticks and other items (including a signed drum head and picks from Metallica which they donated for the charity). Also non Hoobastank stuff as well. We're just pitching in. Anyways, if you live in or near the Los Angeles area and are interested in being a part of the fund raiser or if you just want to test your bowling skills against me then come on down. It's a great cause.

For more info go to yesican.org.

Thanks and hope to see you there,

Doug Robb

Hey you guys. Some of you know already but for anyone who doesn't we're playing a cool, intimate acoustic show on Wednesday June 10th at Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa CA. Now we've done TONS of acoustic things before but never like this. This is a full dedicated acoustic set. Not just 2-4 songs like we have done so many times before. It's kicked back, relaxed and a cool way to hear the music and hang with us. Ask some questions and pick our brains about songs. Kind of like a story tellers. So if you're anywhere near Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego or just the entire Southern Cali area I hope to see you guys there. It's a first for us and it won't be nearly as memorable without you. Tickets are still available. See ya there. Acoustically yours, Doug Robb

We are partnering with non-profit organization Music for Relief to support the people in South Asia displaced by Cyclone Aila.
MFR is responding to help provide relief following Cyclone Aila.  The Cyclone struck eastern India and coastal Bangladesh one week ago on Monday 5/25 leaving millions of people displaced and in desperate need of food, water and shelter.  In West Bengal at least 5.1 million people were displaced, with more than one million people stranded in the Sundarban islands alone, most of them without any food or water.  Food security and loss of livelihood are also major concerns as it is estimated that 80,000 acres of rice paddy and other crops have been destroyed, about 250,000 acres partially destroyed and over 50,000 poultry and livestock have been killed.

Please help the victims of this disaster by making a donation: http://www.musicforrelief.org/donate

And forward this information to spread the word.

MFR is partnering with BRAC in Bangladesh where 100% of funds contributed will go to those affected by Cyclone Aila.
More information about BRAC: BRAC has provided emergency aid and rehabilitation in Bangladesh since its inception and carried out large-scale relief and rehabilitation activities there for cyclone and flood victims in 1987, 1988, 1991, 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2007. BRAC, the largest non-profit in the developing world, was launched in Bangladesh in 1972 and today reaches more than 110 million people in Africa and Asia with its holistic approach to addressing poverty by providing micro-loans, self-employment opportunities, health services, education and legal and human rights education. http://www.brac.net/usa/index.php

On the road 5/1/09

Hey guys and gals. Just wanted to give you a little update on what's

going on. We've been back out on the road for the last 2 weeks with
Staind. The shows have been lots of fun and the guys in Staind are
super cool. We're definitely playing some spots we've never played
before. Spending lots of time in the upper Midwest. Most of the shows
have been at Casinos so we've had rooms almost everynight instead of
having to sleep on the bus. It's quite a luxury for us. At the same
time though, I kind of miss sleeping on the bus. I'll get plenty of
bus time in over the next few weeks since we are breaking off of the
Staind Tour to do some of our own shows and then meeting back up with
them in Los Angeles. So what do you do when you're playing casinos?
You loose your Per Diems at the craps or blackjack tables and you use
the free food vouchers at the sometimes sub standard buffets to eat.
Maybe throw in some golf or the driving range if there is a course at
the hotel. It's been an unusual touring experience to say the least. A
couple of days ago we were in Cleveland for a few days to do an
acoustic "lounge" peformance for Q104. We had 2 days off there before
the gig so on night 1 we all went to the Red Sox/Indians game (thanks
Sanaa). We got to hang out on the field and play catch during batting
practice. I threw out the first pitch and we all sang Take Me Out to
the Ballgame during the 7th inning stretch. The Indians put us in a
suite. That's the first time for any of us at a baseball game. It was
so much fun.  Some giant costumed hot dogs and Slider the Indians mascot came by the suite to hang for a bit and maybe take some Jaeger
shots.... Anyways, I look forward to going to a couple more games
while we're out on the road.

 Best

Doug
