We've been touring now for almost a decade and those who are fans know that although we take our music very seriously we don't take ourselves very seriously. We've always loved goofing around on and off the stage. One thing we've been doing for years now is to cover iconic songs from the past during our shows to test the crowd's musical knowledge and to get everyone loosened up and singing along a little. Everything from the theme songs to Rocky and the tv show CHIPS to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'". Song's we pretty much know everyone will know. Recently on our last Japan/Southeast Asia/Australia tour this summer we were brainstorming for some new songs to unleash on the people. One of them happened to be Ray Parker Jr's Ghostbusters. We played our own shortened version of it at a few shows and the crowds went BERZERK! Seriously it was so funny that half the time I couldn't hold it together and would laugh in mid verse. So seeing the crowd's reaction to the song and it being so close to Halloween we decided to record it for fun at Chris, our drummer's home studio. We had a lot of fun recording it and we hope everyone has fun listening to it. Happy Halloween from Hoobastank. Who ya gonna call?
Watch video here.

Hey everyone. Hope you all will have a safe and fun 4th of July. Of
course we will be in Las Vegas performing on Freemont Street that
night. If you're in Las Vegas I'd love to see you all there. After the
show on Freemont St we'll be going to the Hard Rock Hotel for a little
impromptu acoustic shin dig at Wasted Space. Just a few songs and a
little hang out. It's Jesse our bass player's birthday and anyone who
goes has to buy him a gin and tonic. Hope to see you all on Freemont St
and at Wasted Space. If not, be safe. I've been hit with SO many
fireworks over the years. Not fun.
Happy 4th,
Doug Robb

Ya like robots? Who doesn’t? Everyone likes robots. And hot chicks with robots. So do we. And that’s why we have our song, DON'T THINK I LOVE YOU, on the soundtrack to Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, which comes out this Tuesday the 23rd, a day before the movie opens. Check out http://transformers2music.com/ for more info.

Hello everyone. I hope you all are well. This Sunday June 14th I will
be attending a charity fund raiser for YESICAN.ORG which provides
support groups for those who have been abused. The main focus is
towards abused kids but that is not it's only focus. It's goal is to
break the cycle of abuse. The event is called "Strike Against Child
Abuse to Spare the Kids". It's a bowling event at Canoga Park Bowl. The
address is 20122 Vanowen St. Winnetka CA 91306. $15 includes 2 games of
bowling, shoe rental, light lunch and entertainment for kids. There
will also be a silent auction with signed Hoobastank CD's, drumsticks
and other items (including a signed drum head and picks from Metallica
which they donated for the charity). Also non Hoobastank stuff as well.
We're just pitching in. Anyways, if you live in or near the Los Angeles
area and are interested in being a part of the fund raiser or if you
just want to test your bowling skills against me then come on down.
It's a great cause.
For more info go to yesican.org.
Thanks and hope to see you there,
Doug Robb

Hey you guys. Some of you know already but for anyone who doesn't we're
playing a cool, intimate acoustic show on Wednesday June 10th at Sutra
Lounge in Costa Mesa CA. Now we've done TONS of acoustic things before
but never like this. This is a full dedicated acoustic set. Not just
2-4 songs like we have done so many times before. It's kicked back,
relaxed and a cool way to hear the music and hang with us. Ask some
questions and pick our brains about songs. Kind of like a story
tellers. So if you're anywhere near Los Angeles, Orange County, San
Diego or just the entire Southern Cali area I hope to see you guys
there. It's a first for us and it won't be nearly as memorable without
you. Tickets are still available. See ya there.
Acoustically yours,
Doug Robb
