Gee dont ya love the south in the summer.........hey wait a sec, its not summer yet. We hit mid 80's today. Our poor buns were so pitiful out there. I was constantly going out and checking on them. I gave them frozen water bottles, soaked the roofs of their cages, even put a fan on my FL and Angora doe with babies. If its this bad now, hate to know what this summer will bring.
Have a Hoppy Day!

Current mood: excited
Hey everyone!
The last two weeks have been crazy for us with a show every weekend! I am glad to have the next two off.....lol. We've done really well, lots of BOB but not enough in the class to get a GC Leg, we'll get there! We got our first English Lop this past weekend. We are doing a trial test on him. We are not really sure if it is a breed that we want to raise or not. He is sweetheart and cant wait to show him. Miss Darlene at JDC Rabbity has really nice English and we are proud to have one from her herd. By the way, she has a jr buck for sale...lol If you are interested, let me know and I'll give you her email. We are also looking forward to Easter weekend here. Miss Dale Ann from Tee Lapins is bringin us a pair of Junior Dwarf Hotots, straight from Louisianna! So guys get ready, Lawrenceburg will be big for us!!!!!! We are sure we will be showing our French and English Lop in the Open Shows. We will also have our Netherland Dwarf and our Hotots will be making their debut. Dont think we can get anymore in the car, or we'd bring it!
Our litter of FL our doing great and growing like crazy. They are all out of the box and starting to eat well. I think, notice the "think", we have 3 does and 4 bucks. Because we only have partial pedigree and they are PET QUALITY ONLY, they will go at small price. We will post when they are ready to go.

Current mood: bouncy
Well Ann's litter seem to be growing by leaps and bounds. I curious to see what color they end up. I know the one that didnt make it was blue. But these all look black now with white tips....lol. They all have white chins with a black spot. Of course, they are mix breeds but still they are so cute. I love when it is time to check them in the evenings and you stick your hand in the box and they start jumping around. Parker is enjoying them too. He goes out about 4-5 times a day while the others are at school to check on his bun buns......lol. He drags our little foot stool over and peeks in, its so cute. Well we have bad no good news, Cola didnt kindle so we will be bringing her to Wetumpka. We are now waiting on Princess and Starr to kindle. We'll let you know the outcome, soon hopefully......lol.

Current mood: relieved
We were all worried about the new litter last night. It got down in the upper 20's. I know for folks up north that isnt much but for around here it can be. I just came in from outside and they are all fine. Stuck my hand in the box and they started jumping around. I had forgotten how much fun having a young litter around was....lol. The only problem I have discovered so far is my normaly sweet doe is now very fiesty and mean. Does anyone have any idea on how to calm her down?

Current mood: ecstatic
We were in MS visiting Wonderland Rabbitry and The Bunny Burrow this weekend. We got the call this morning before heading home that we had babies!!!! Raggedy Ann, had 8. We lost one, looks like it got squashed. But still we are excited. We are expecting low temps tonight so I hope all will be ok. I have photos and will try and post them soon.

Current mood: excited
We are patiently(ok NOT really!) 2 litters of buns. Our Angora doe, Ann, is due and has started pulling wool. This is her second litter and we are so excited. She is bred to our French Lop. I know an unlikely pair but our Angora buck just isnt intersted and we wanted to find out if it was her or him. Guess now we know! Our Netherland Dwarf doe, Cola, is also due! Ok go ahead and get ready........to our Dwarf Hotot we have for sale. Cola is a total odd ball here. We've been looking for a buck to go with her but havent had much luck. But since we are about to go exclusive, Dwarf Hotot, French Lop, and French Angora, she will remain the oddball. Our Grams, wanted Cola and adored. She thought she was amazing and she is a nice doe. Honestly, we are hoping she doesnt kindle so that we can show at the Wetumpka show coming up!....lol. Oh well we'll keep you posted.
