Former UK Chief Scientists says Beware Of Climate Change Scaremongering. Top scientific advisor to Tony Blair's government has shown great inconsistency by speaking out against politically and commercially motivated climate change scaremongering. Significantly when he was on the government payroll he was one of the biggest scaremongers.

Many people, particularly employers, insist school examinations especially English language are getting easier. Educationists however are adamant that pupils are getting brighter. So is the system dumbing down or are examiners simply testing not on formal grammar and syntax but on English like wot it is spoke?

A Clockwork GCSE exam paper.

It's absolutely crazy I know but some parents of normal, healthy children are giving their kids Ritalin because they have heard the ADHD control drug can improve concentration and raise intelligence levels in kids who do not have ADHD or ADD.

Have these overambitious, pushy, selfish parents not thought what the side effects of the drug might be on kids who don't need it?

Greenteeth Multi Media reveals how the financial crisis happened. Somebody (wasn't us, honest) revealed that 97% of the money in the world only exists in computer spreadsheeets.

So all through the age of consumerism and the boom years of the 1990s and 2000s when we all spent money like it was going out of fashion.... It was never in fshion. There was no money just binary strings floating around in cyberspace.

Frightening isn't it

There's no doubt about it, bullshit makes the world go round. Without bullhit we would get nothing done. The banking business runs on bullshit, science and technologu is mostly bullshit, politics is all bullhit and the most powerful industry in the world, advertising, invented bullshit.

The dominance of bullshit has gone so far that it is now invading the most simple activities and pleasures in our lives.

Inform yourself of how bullshit may soon be affecting you.

Proposed laws published by the government today indicate a much tougher approach in future to people who persistently downloads music and video from free file sharing sites. The government proposal will protect the intellectual property of internet content creators by terminating the broadband service of persistent downloaders without notice or warning

The problem of free downloads from copyright breaking file share sites is a big problem in the music and film industries. While we may feel no sympathy for the recording and media companies who have been overcharging for years most of the musicians, actors, writers and production technicians are freelance and depend on royalties from sales for their income. While people who delude themselves they are technical wizards because of their ability to press a button can easily believe they have a right to free music and entertainment, they are not bright enough to understand they are depriving the session musicians, supporting actors, engineers, camera and sound crew and the rest of their livelihood. Should these people be expected to give their work away for nothing?
Nobody minded copying using the old technologies like compact cassette or CDs. Some geek might make a couple of copies of an album or film for his mates down the pup but that was no big deal. File sharing sites are different. They make the work available to the world, promote their service and profit from advertising revenue. It is utterly immoral and there is no justification for it. Boggart Blog place ourselves on records as deploring the activities of downloaders. Such people are thieving bastards and as such deserve to be deprived of their internet connec

Ian Thorpe has just published All Architects Are Twats at The Daily Stirrer.

Many modern architects have  a total disregard for the aesthetic tone of the areas their creations will be surrounded by. Their attitude can be summed up as "we are very clever people and have lots of bits of paper to prove it, therefore we are right and nobody else's opinion is worth listening to.

This has led to many modern architects like Richard Rogers for example getting into verbal punch ups with that champion of traditional British values like boffing your mistress on your wedding day, Prince Charles. So who is right? Click the link to read the article.
