Salutations - Finally it is starting to happen. This month is starting to really hit its mark for me. There has been a lot of changes this month. Especially that I've started top really hit that pavement for those long walks. I feel so much better when I'm out at night just letting the mind unwind. I'll think about what songs impacted me like that upbeat quirky lyric track "Daylight" by Matt and Kim which I can't stop listening to. This song is going to reach the top 10 on my chart I just know it. Then there are those two songs I'm really getting into by Jes Hudak one would be "Just a Picture" reminds me of "Tiny Dream" stuff and then dance inflected track "Girl's Life" wow what an immense change for Jes.  But really I can't believe I would see a video on Mtv for "Daylight" and be like my stars this song is cool. That song is perfect for the "Summer" especially while we are facing the dreaded 7 letter e word. Whatever! Matt and Kim have given promise that artists like myself can scale to the next level. With a certification of 21,400 friends on myspace whatever I'm doing is working. The statistics are heading in the right direction. Sometimes we all need to tell negativity to shut up. I have to admit the "Preservation Saratoga County" videos on youtube were an interesting idea. The same can be said for the videos of "Greenwich" The lawn mower stalled tonight and I accepted it as is. Later that night I started writing 40-2 "Making Sense" and well look at this another song hanging in left field. Remember 39-5 "Sidewalks" was another track suspended out in left field. To think 39-1 "Close to the Sun" was supposed to be released from Collection 39 "doses of fun"  But then I turn to 40-2 "Mental Case" and I can see it is going to be a serious inside hit. I'm so sure of it. Well look here what's this a music contest on myspace I just found out about tonight wheile on this here computer for artists that are not signed. I think this would be a decent contest for me to enter. The winner is going to land a record deal with "Myspace Records" and gear from Fender. But something is in the air that makes me think 40-2 "Making Sense" is going to be that lead in song that is going to do something for my music. I really think this Collection 40 "Traveling" set is going to be great. You hear people talk about one song that is all it has to be to land you with a label. I've heard a lot of music on myspace and youtube which has become the new radio station for me if you think about it in a way. Most of the songs are from artists that have a myspace to land on my chart I need to listen to your song. You have to like land my attention. With Matt and Kim it was a recorded program on Mtv and then I saw this video and heard this song and well it was a different. Now the duo is #19 on my chart with a brand new edition with "Daylight" the same song and video I saw on not even a week ago on tv. It really is about that one song that gets you noticed in my book the so called inside hit track which leads an artist to become an inside hit artist and getting a mention on my myspace page. You have to keep going with what you have especially when you land as an inside hit artist in my book don't give up. I remember heading to NYC before to meet teen singer "Katie Neil" One of the best things in society is an impacting song. I can't mention that enough.  With Matt and Kim their song "Daylight" is an inside hit because of impact. Listen to the lyrics of the track and you can tell this song is hanging out in left field where most indie music is artists like "Phantogram" and "The Mathematicians" might be touring with Matt and Kim and wouldn't that be cool. I can see that happening. I'm hoping Kev Brock gets back to rocking the scene his song "Take a little trip with me" became a top ten on my chart.  The band "Bipolar" who ended their run last year never landed a top ten on my chart. I really thought they were going to make it. If not them someone from this area has to go far. The question is what artist from this area is going to go the distance.

Time for the the inside story on a group you just have to check in with. That would be this duo I discovered recently on tv when I saw this video that look like it was made in NYC. Matt and Kim are this new duo who play their instruments. I mean I love this song so much because it is so left field and also sports a decent music video that is quirky as well. They are signed with an indie label which is cool and to think the lead single "Daylight" which wasn't long for the track to land on my Top 40 chart so that means you like made it in my book when you crash onto my chart. I've said that you have to be able to impact and sometimes one song makes the difference. I like these two especially because they are so far out in left field to just come into that quirky pop region to hit you with something like "Daylight" We need something different in our respected music scenes. The lyrics seem to be ocean drenched with some of the most creative salt water around. Hopefully artists in the "Albany Lata" are writing notes see you can make it when you write and perform music that is hanging in left field. Check in with these two because they have made from this year even better.

Salutations - Iaz is heading into the distance with new songs and looking to work on those nagging issues. Like looking better and staying focused with the music. Finally it like happened when I started thinking of the title of the second song for Collection 40 "Traveling" Soon I recorded a video for a snatch of the song called 40-2 "Making Sense" like 39-5 "Sidewalks" I'm really landing an upbeat vibe from this new song. I like what the success the other collections have done but it is time to shift forward and "Making Sense" is going to be a decent song to shift into that. With something like the dreadful "America's got Talent" heading my way it is time to prove that I can get to the next level with this music scene. As for "Talent" I could care less about this season as one season of it was enough for me. I really want to stay focused on the important things and continue my decent spending habits that have allowed me to sail through this month. I value the price of money and that is an issue that has really been addressed this month. I want to spend money on the important things not bs kind of stuff. I'm hoping a song like 40-2 "Making Sense" is going to erase the crazy that was "Mental Case" just thinking of that song and "This is who I am" make me freaking cringe. I really didn't like that period of time. As for Open Mics I want gigs I've waited months for Open Mic to like do something for me as an artist forget the venue providing the stage I want gigs that pay that build new fans and I'm going to do what I can to land more gigs that are important. I keep telling myself stay focused you have a good thing going with this music thing. As more and more music artists have become successful in the "Albany Lata" I need to get more respect and noticed for my talent. I'm sure the media in this area is going to write about my music. I'm sure radio will play my new songs. But it comes back to working on the out of state front that's where the fans are going to like make it happen. Hopefully 40-2 "Making Sense" will start off a number of inside hit songs that people are going to not only hear but tell their friends that will lead to playing gigs. I've heard from people out of state that like my music a lot. Why can't it translate to the local area then? It is one thing if people like your music when they can see it for free in Open Mics but would they pay you $5.00 for the cd. Iaz is going in the right direction finding new ways to promote the music and the youtube numbers are starting to paint the picture. Myspace seems to still not embrace the artist's music as profile views haven't reached 100,000. It will happen. You have to stick with what you are doing and stay focused.

Hey - So I watched a sneak look of the new drama "Make it or break it" it was ten minutes. It will be premiering on Abc Family next week. As someone who likes made for tv movies the new drama is not that impressive especially it is about gymnastics something that interests me. So the question is do I even feel like giving the drama a try considering what I did with "The Secret Life of an American Teenager" which I finally discovered I didn't like and do not like that kind of television series. "Make it or break it" seems to be stuck in that same kind of zone. The writing is lame and so is some of the acting meaning it doesn't impress me. When writing or the so called script of something is not in the best of heights that's not good for a drama. When you you see tv series filmed in the same location that's right "Los Angeles" that's not so great either. But "Make it or break it" feels like something is missing kind of like almost every drama that is made in some Los Angeles studio. "Make it or break it" makes you think it is set in the Rocky Mountains somewhere but it is really filmed in Los Angeles which causes the drama series to be even more dull. I would of liked to see this series filmed somewhere else besides "Los Angeles" and that would have made the drama better. Kind of like "The Secret Life of an American Teenager" which ended up turning me off. I want something different on tv and this is not it. It will get at least a chance in my book but compared to "Being Erica" I think "Make it or break it" will get the uneven bars in the face or just maybe this drama will prove that it brings something different to the television table.
