Seven months since I've written some form of a blog on myspace. I graduated high school, but I don't feel any different-- am I supposed to? Really, what does it mean? Allow a bit of a my Peter Pan Syndrome to show through, but I don't really want to grow up. Rather, I want to grow up, but I don't want any of the responsibility involved. Yeah, I know that I'm pretty irresponsible to begin with, but really... I've been told that I was a pretty mature kid. I guess it's about time that my years exceeded my maturity, at least by a little.

I won't get anywhere just by whining about how I don't want to grow up or about how I don't want to play in BigKidLand. Even so, this is one of those situations where you have to "man up," I guess.

Uuuh... needy introspection aside, I'm really sleepy.

So I have the worst headache in the world right now. Some people are probably gonna ask, "so why are you online?"

I'm not sure, really. I think I'm gonna fall like a fly soon. I need to babysit in the morning. I didn't notice just how little I ate today. I'm really hungry right now, but eating at this point in time wouldn't be very wise. Losing weight is harder than I initially thought, enthusiasm be damned. I'd rather sit at home and play Tales of Symphonia than go outside and run or do something productive like that.

There isn't any earth-shattering event that will keep me blogging for days on end, but I felt that it was high time that I checked in on myspace and said something, since I got some free tickets to Ima Robot, regardless of whether I will be attending the event or not. I'd like to go, but I won't die if I can't... I'm sort of a homebody. I'd rather stay at home, curled up with a book/my laptop/the phone. Though it would be a good way to see my friends, eh... The only real song I like is "Dynamite," and even then, I don't like it -that- much.

What else what else what else? I could rant about my strange affinity to redheaded, hotblooded men in video games... take Zelos Wilder, for example. I haven't even recruited him yet but I know that I'll like him just by looking at him and his character description. Do I have a secret ambition to be a womanizer? A gigolo? A pickup artist?

I might as well be married; I'm not even remotely -allowed- to have feelings like these. My husbife would have my hide.

In other news, I'm feeling rather loved by my family and friends, though I don't do anything to really merit it. I'm luckier than I can ever imagine when it comes to luck and love, and my life isn't the ball of loveless negativity that I was ranting about several blog entries ago. I have both arms and legs, I can type/write worth a lick, my guardians are nice, well-adjusted people, my sisters are... bearable, my grandparents love me well enough, my friends are awesome in any and all ways, Megatronhitler continues to be an excellent source of love, humor, support, and vitamin C, and I'm not afflicted with some crazy incurable illness... so life couldn't get much better, I don't think.

On an unrelated note, if you haven't noticed, I think I'd be a Decepticon rather than an Autobot. I thought long and hard about it, and that process can be best summed up by this image:

I never learned how to do those little accent thingies on my laptop and truth be told, I'm not too interested in broadening my horizons in that sense for a little while.

I haven't listened to Armor For Sleep since like, freshman year. Seriously, what the hell? I think I know why. This song brings back memories, and not all of them good.

Brand New was last night. I really wanted to go. ._.

Well Myspace, it's been far too long since I've posted a blog. I figure that, since i am about to trek to the bathroom and take a loooong, luxurious bath, I should wax poetic at you for a while. but the question, as it usually is, is wax poetic about what?

I don't have many things to say in terms of my life, as things haven't changed in the least. The only new real development in terms of my relationships with people would probably have to be my newfound rage and dislike towards my biological father. The very thought of James leaves me embittered, and I can practically feel the bile rise in my throat every time I look in the mirror and see vestiges of him in my own features.

Curse you, James. Curse you for making me look like you and not even taking responsibility for the life you created. Though you may have many things going on in your life... if they're so all-encompassing that you can't even return your own flesh's phone calls, or even pick them up, then... I guess your priorities are apparent.

Someone very dear to me heard the extent of this rant, but I don't feel that I'm done yet. Not in the least. I want to see James once before I go off to college. I want to see him and say, "I'm leaving now." I want to see him and I want it to be like a slap to the face. I'm no longer forgiving him for his irresponsibility.

"He's doing the best he can." I don't know how many times I've recycled that line to my mother. I don't know how many times I have tried to convince myself that yes, James is doing the best that he can, and that he will continue to do so in the future. This man is my father, and so he should thus teach me that he really does care and that he is willing to act the part of paternal figure. This is the man that should have taught me that it was alright to make mistakes, and that anyone deserves to be forgiven so long as they do their best to make amends in the end. I didn't learn this, or any other sort of life-impacting lesson from him. The only true things that James taught me is that talk is cheap and that in the end, there's a chance that anyone, no matter who they are, is going to leave and never come back simply because they are unwilling to take responsibility for their actions.

O, father, absolve me of my transgressions. Forgive me, father, for I have sinned. Get bent, paternal figure; go play in traffic.

Call me immature, call me spiteful. Todd is the best father that I could ever ask for. If given the choice, I would not change the way things are as of right now. But this does not keep me from feeling an intense rage at the thought of the man known as my biological father. I've been kicked to the curb for far too long. I'm not going to be kept hanging by this rope as I wait for him to get his act together.

I've already cut you out of my life for the moment, James. Grow up, because the world is not kind to children in men's clothing.
June 4, 2007 - Monday
I figure that I've done nothing else for this blog thing than post up mundane surveys that no one is going to read, anyway. So, I felt that it was in dire need of one of those wonderful things that are called "WALL O' TEXT" in some circles of the internet. So, watch in stunned silence as I do this "WALL O' TEXT" thing.

Summer's officially began, and somehow, I feel as if there are more things for me to do in terms of school. This is accurate, I guess, seeing as how I'm going to be retaking the SATs and mailing out college applications... but... I guess this is going to sound a little whiny to the adults who happen to stumble upon the blog of this seventeen-year-old girl, but... I never knew that things would get so crazy after sophomore year. I'm on my way to adulthood, and truth be told, I kind of want time to stop. Unlike most kids, I didn't really feel compelled to get older than I already was... granted, there were some times when I was locked out of my own room by the older kids when I was six or seven that I wished I was older, but aside from that, I was perfectly content with the age I was at, thank you very much. I feel like... the best years of my life are over.

That's pathetic, I know. The upcoming years are what I make them, and I have every intention of making them awesome. Still, though, I can't help but think that I'll fail at making them nifty, and I'll spend the rest of my life pining for the glory days of my youth.

That's a depressing thought. I only recently acknowledged the fact that I have a tendency to scramble and look for things that are wrong with my situation, even when things are going perfectly well. I don't know why this is so.

This blogging stuff seems to come so easily to my mom. I'm mildly jealous. I find that I can only type contemplative things, not the happy, nifty conversational content that my mom can provide. It's mildly infuriating, but I guess that I'm just too... I don't know, sullen to do any of that stuff. Haha. We're on episode ten of Blue's Clues. On three hours of sleep, seeing a bright blue dog and a man in a vibrantly green-striped shirt is quite the trip. I think I might have a seizure from the Felt Friends in their picture frame.

I wonder who came up with the concept for Blue's Clues, anyway. It must take some sort of imagination to think up something like that. I mean, it's a dog and some dude living in a house filled with talking inanimate objects. The dog gets her paw prints everywhere, but the dude doesn't seem to mind... It's almost like one giant acid trip, if you think about it. On top of that, how do salt and pepper beget paprika? That makes no sense at all.

Or maybe I'm just over-analyzing a children's show that didn't have too much thought put into its premise. Or maybe this is some elaborate pyramid scheme to get the children of the world to talk to their salt shakers and shovels.

I think the most sensible reason for my odder-than-usual behavior is the fact that I lack sleep. Uhn.

If I were to produce a children's show, I think it would involve a walrus. A walrus named Wilhelm von Bistrich. His nickname would be Ptolemy, and he would do math problems for fun. He'd live in a gigantic mansion and look at the sky every night through a telescope perched on the balcony outside his window. He'd have a penguin and narwhal for friends, named Shirley and Cornelius, respectively.

Oh, god. The planet Neptune has a lisp in Blue's Clues. What is that supposed to mean?

I think that that's all I got. I might come back later.
