BE the next Host or Hostess of the Chicago Horror Film Festival

The Chicago Horror Film Festival is in Search for a 2008 Festival Hostess.

1. When does this contest start and how long do I have to submit my clips?
This contest officially begins with a call for entries that initiates on January 1st, 2008.

2. What do I need to submit?
For the 1st round we require that you submit your submission fee, as well as a 3 to 10 minute video clip audition. In the audition clip, it must include you, introducing yourself, and in addition introducing one of your favorite horror films.

3. So how does this contest work?
In the 2nd round your video auditions will be placed on our website August 1st through August 29th. Each week, we will pick 10 of the auditions to post on the site for voting. On August 31st we will post the 4 semi finalist videos for a 24 hour voting competition. The winner of the contest will be posted and notified on September 1st.

4. Are you only going to pick some skinny Goth girl?
No, we are looking for ladies of all size and color that are awesome enough to host the event. We look for charisma originality foremost.

5. So what is expected of me if I win?

* Be available the day before the festival for a possible quick rehearsal
* You will need to be available all the dates of the Chicago Horror Film Festival to Host the 2008 Chicago Horror Film Festival Live at the Portage Theater located at 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chicago, IL.
* You will be introducing films, bands, and other live acts on stage.
* You will need your own wardrobe and make-up (there are private dressing rooms behind the stage with full mirror and make up table)
* If you are not from the Chicago area you will need to secure your own accommodations (flight, hotel) If you are from the Chicago area and need a ride or need to be picked up from the train it can be arranged.

6. If I win… are there any other perks?

* $200 cash prize
