Definitive Hanoi Rocks compilation This One's For Rock'n'Roll in stores now in Scandinavia.

Following Hanoi Rocks' recent announcement that they will break up by the end of this year, they are announcing the release of a brand new 2-CD retrospective compilation This One's For Rock'n'Roll on November 26th 2008. This superb package includes 33 songs, encompassing both distinctive parts of their career, the 80's and the new millennium. The lavishly packaged set includes many previously unreleased photos and written testimonials from illustrious peers such as Alice Cooper, Ginger (Wildhearts), Dregen (Backyard Babies) and Jussi 69 (The 69 Eyes).

CD 1 covers the years 1980 - 1985 and the first incarnation of Hanoi Rocks, tragically cut short by drummer Razzle's death.
CD 2 brings the legend up-to-date with music from the reborn band from 2001 onwards.

HANOI ROCKS WILL BREAK UP BY THE END OF THE YEAR 2008

Hanoi Rocks have decided to break up by the end of the year 2008. Michael Monroe and Andy McCoy feel that they've taken the band as far as it can go and now wish to go their separate ways.

All commitments until the end of the year, including the UK tour starting in London on Halloween, will naturally be honoured.

In addition, the band has decided to say farewell to their fans by doing a final tour of Japan in the spring 2009 and immediately thereafter wrapping things up with a few nights at the legendary Tavastia Club in Helsinki, Finland where their career originally got started in the 80's.

November 26th will see the timely release of the first ever career-spanning Hanoi Rocks retrospective: a 2-CD set titled "This One's For Rock'n'Roll - The Best Of Hanoi Rocks 1980-2008".

The band wishes to thank all their fans, co-workers and business partners for their continued love and support throughout the years.

HANOI ROCKS LOPETTAA

Hanoi Rocks on päättänyt lopettaa toimintansa vuoden 2008 loppuun mennessä. Nyt he haluavat jatkaa erillään, omia teitään, kohti uusia seikkailuja.

Hanoi Rocks soittaa kaikki tämän vuoden puolelle sovitut keikkansa, mukaanlukien Halloween-yönä Lontoon Astoria-klubilta alkavan Englannin kiertueen.

Bändi jättää jäähyväiset japanilaisille faneilleen keväällä 2009 toteutettavalla Japanin kiertueella. Heti Japanista palattuaan Hanoi Rocks soittaa pitkän ja värikkään historiansa viimeiset keikat, muutamana peräkkäisenä iltana kotiklubillaan Helsingin Tavastialla, mistä he myös aloittivat uransa 1980-luvun alussa.

Hanoi Rocks julkaisee vielä tämän vuoden puolella koko bändin uran läpileikkaavan kokoelma-tupla-CD:n. "This One's For Rock'n'Roll – The Best Of Hanoi Rocks 1980-2008" ilmestyy 26.11.2008.

They also visited Norway's Lillehammer Metal Rock Festival. The next stop for Hanoi Rocks will be Spain on the 5th of September at the gigantic Azkena Rock Festival.
