I have been having a great time playing these past couple weeks! I've played on the radio, in Bellingham, Everett, Seattle and this week I head to Portland for two shows!

Hey everybody! 

Wow, seriously? 2 semesters done already and I get to go home to Seattle this weekend? It just came so quick! I can't even believe how much I've learned and grown musically and personally since September. I feel like a real human being, a real musician. Time to put all my brain learning and apply it to all my instruments and writing. If that makes sense. I'm excited to really work this summer. Is that weird? 

I have been overwhelmed these past couple days, well, mostly with finals, but also with how incredibly lucky I am to have so many amazing people in my life. All my friends at home, all the wonderful, talented people here at Berklee and my fantastic family. I don't know how I can get so self-conscious and down on myself at times when I have so much incredible support. I need to quit it, because it's like saying everyone who believes in me is wrong. And that's just not right. :)

Ah! I'm so excited to see Seattle again! My John, my brother's new place, Bellingham, famerly, tulips, horsies and doggies, new studio!!! :) Yay!

Thank you everyone who has made my start here at Berklee and with music so wonderful. I wish you could see my giddiness. :)

In Control: Written in the last couple weeks in response to a songwriting contest. The recording's a bit odd... let's just say it's not your speakers freaking out if you hear a glitch. :)
Repeating, Repeating: I started writing last summer in Florida. I was just playing through it earlier today and changed a few things from what you can hear now... so the next time I post it you will have something new to look forward to.

Hey everyone!
Lately I've been working hard on school stuff, my tunes, writing a song that I just turned in for a songwriting contest through Berklee and I have begun to book shows for when I come home this summer. I have a few things lined up, but I will post everything once it's more solid.
Any suggestions on places you want to see me? Cool open mics you know of? Looking for an opener?
I'm really, really hoping to get some of my tunes finished and recorded so that you all have some new stuff to listen to. Lots to do for that, so it may be a while, but I'm working on it!
I will be working on my tunes with a band after spring break, too! Exciting!
So much stuff I don't even know what else. Midterms are next week, so that probably explains my fried brain.

I'm sure theres more... there was tons of snow this last Monday. It's so dry here, I miss Washington...

...that there is a time when patience runs thin, you stop knowing the meaning of 'a positive attitude', and eeeveryone around you just makes you want to jump out of your skin. That time is so close I can feel it... maybe cause it's already here.
I made it as far as D.C. Not because of weather, nooo... because of mechanical issues. Yay delayed flights. So from 10 till now, I've been stuck in lines, listening to people complain about being stuck at Seatac... I WANT TO BE STUCK AT SEATAC!!!

Humpf. I'll be okay. Just tired. Meeting up with John and Shirley tomorrow in San Fran. This time it will work. It has to.

I love snow, but right now it's testing my feelings. I'm supposed to be on a plane flying home to Washington, but with snow here and a storm in Washington all the flights were cancelled for today and tomorrow. I'm in a hotel until a flight at 6:30am Monday. Argharoonskis! At least I have my computer, books, knitting and a television. There's not much around where I am, so - yaaay...
At least I got this far I suppose. I had to take the T, the commuter rail, walk, take a bus... then find out that the plane wasn't coming right before we were supposed to board.
I'll make the best of it, but I just want to see my family and friends.
My finals went well. Just holding my breath until I find out my new ratings and grades. This is going to be a much needed, wonderful break. :) I have learned so much and grown so much, all in just the first semester. I'm hoping to be able to work on some tunes during the break. I'm excited!
Anyway - that's about it. ...

How in the flippin floopin crazy craze is it Thursday AND December???
Didn't I just start my semester? Now I only have a little over two weeks left! I'm going to be in Washington before I know it. Ahhhhh.... (that was a sigh, not a scream.)
I have so many projects due in the next couple weeks it's insane. I think I'll feel better about it all after this weekend, maybe. I have a lot of time to do everything, but there's just... a lot.
I bought some Christmas lights today :) And Christmas cards. :)
I always spend so much money on gifts. I'm going to try hard not to this year. I like to spoil people though. It's not wise when I don't have the money for it, I know, I know.
I had my first final on Tuesday. I performed one of my own songs for the camera. It went well, with some slight flubs that I don't think anyone noticed. Good to have one final out of the way though.
I've been reworking some new tunes and am so excited about it. I'm working on an arrangement for one of my songs so I can do it for a final in my ensemble class. Most of it's just in my head at the moment, but I'll get it on paper soon... BAH! I'm excited though, I hope it all works!

I'm just rambling now. Or still? Just 14 days until Washington sees me again!
