Several thousand years ago, when the Gods still lived among us a legend was born about the Red Heart of the Phoenix. According to the legend, two women were favored by a God but only one owned his heart. Jealousy and bitterness caused a rift between the women and tore them apart. One of the ladies, used the power the heart of the phoenix to destroy the one favored by the Gods and in defense she let her anger out and thus turning the heart black and causing the destruction of the early world. The God was forced to destroy both women and he threw away the Heart of the Phoenix vowing that only a pure heart can find it once more.
And so in the present day, the Heart of the Phoenix has been found by two ladies. They were born in different worlds, yet they share a bond so strong that each recognized each other on their first meeting. The Phoenix Sisters, reborn and together they hold with them the Heart of the Phoenix as one as it is meant to be.
I am so pleased and honored to have made this collaboration with my Phoenix sister Nicki. It is fated that we meet and be part of the Diary of an Angel and on the Angel's wings she flew so we can become one.

soaring up the skies
in fiery blaze of red
Once more comes to life
searching for the world
to complete the cycle
of this rebirth
The etheric gathers
through translucent mists
rainbow hues run in softly
seeking, feeling, becoming
searching through space
a piece of the half
to come full circle
above myth, finding life
The chilling sound of horn
reverberates all throughout
heralding a new existence
from its dark cocoon emerges
two hearts beating as one
Dark feathers stroking velvet
Light feathers glinting
caught in dawn and dusk
it is the time of meeting
ashes are as memories
Yin meets yang
Night meets day
Rose fire ignites changing skies
Shadows burst into flames
This is the time of change
Dark and light
streaking to the skies
in blue and purple haze
going separate ways
in two distant worlds
their souls bound as one
