3rd June 2009 - Big Beach Japan
Norm has just arrived in Japan ready for Saturday's Big Beach festival on Yokohama Beach. If you're in Tokyo tomorrow night though (Thursday 4th June), The Womb Club might be a very good place to go... you never know who might be playing!
In other news, some sites have recently reported that Fatboy Slim will be appearing at the Electric Daisy Carnival in L.A. at the end of June. Unfortunately, family commitments have prevented Norm from being able to do this gig... the carnival looks well worth going to despite Norm's absence, see the full line-up and get tickets from HERE.

It is with great regret that Fatboy Slim has had to pull his appearance at this year’s 10th Anniversary SNOWBOMBING festival. SNOWBOMBING and Norman’s management have worked tirelessly to find a resolution, but unfortunately medical advice has lead to the cancellation of the headline appearance on doctor’s orders.
Norman’s management company have stated that Norman is devastated and issued this statement today: "A very upset Norman Cook has had to cancel his Fatboy Slim appearance at Snowbombing this year because his treatment is taking a little longer than he'd hoped for. Norm said " I'm choked to be missing out on the gig in the mountain forest, but I really hope Snowbombing will have me back for another crack at it next year. Sorry to let you down folks."
Gareth Cooper, event promoter, commented from SNOWBOMBING HQ: “We’re gutted that Fatboy Slim can’t headline this year, as it promised to be the icing on top of our 10th Anniversary cake. The celebrations will continue in his honour, and it still promises to be the mother of all birthday parties. We send him our collective support and best wishes towards a speedy recovery, and hope we can fulfil his wish to play at next year’s event.”
It’s not all bad news however, as we’re delighted to be able to announce that amazing mix monsters 2manydjs will be joining the throng to smash it up at the Forest Clearing Party this year. Featuring the Dewaele brothers from Soulwax, 2manydjs are sickeningly good DJs who know how to make a party rock, so you’re definitely in for a tip-top treat.

The sydney crowd this evening were amazing. despite receiving a complete soaking from the biblical downpour that accompanied the entire set ( i havent seen weather like that since back home at Glastonbury 2 years ago ) they kept me going during the technical nightmare that was my left turntable going down and me having to do the last half hour of the set with one deck and some very un-DJ-like silences ... . sydney i salute you!
