New Song of mine on MTV!!! THE AMERICAN MALL! DEBUTS TONIGHT AT 8PM CENTRAL! I have a new song of mine in the new musical on MTV called THE AMERICAN MALL! It is brought to you by the same peeps who did High School Musical. I co-wrote and co-produced it with my friend Jamie Houston. The song is called, DREAMING WIDE AWAKE and the world premier is tonight at 8 pm cst. Let me know if you get a chance to see it. It will air all month! All the best, james

The Top 5 Finalists for the 2007 National Musicoz Awards were recenty released and Nashville based artist/songwriter James Dean Hicks has been named in the 'International' Category.

He wrote the song with Natalie Howard, A former Musicoz winner and duet partner that James shared a 1 video on CMC with on the song "THE LONG NIGHT."

The Musicoz Awards are Australia's Premier Music Awards for Unsigned artists and cover 17 genres of music and are known in the media as "The Unsigned ARIA's".

Musicoz received thousands of entrants for the 2007 awards and the judges were staggered with the immense talent this year. All songs are judged equally on originality and strength of melody, lyrics, composition and performance.

I just got back form doing 7 shows in New England and met some of the nicest people. The venues were fabuous. I was joined by some of Nashville's best songwriters and we hope to get back up there for a tour in the spring with our friend Darrren Bessette. Thanks to everyone who came.
