Hi Friends.

A soul legend is dead. Isaac Hayes died yesterday in the age of 65.
In 1972 the singer and producer Hayes had received the OSCAR for a filmsong as first black musician for the movie "Shaft".
According to specification of the police Hayes was discovered by relatives rainless in his house.

Today some bloggers reminds to the great singer;

Irie Friends.

Let me show you today the website of a German Reggae band from the area 'round Berlin.
Wood In Di Fire rock the dancehall with Jamaican Jazz and heavy Reggae grooves at their monthly live jams at Berlin's Schokoladen club.

Wood In Di Fire began as a session project. After five years, several tours and recordings they've become a band with an astonishing groove. But the session idea is still alive: Guests and members add flavours from Reggae, Trip Hop, Ska, Electro or Latin and make the music rich of unexpected turns.

On their website they give you ten free downloads.

8 songs are covers from the sold-out Demo CD
"Harvest In The East" from 2001:
-- "Ain't No Sunshine"
-- "Nardis"
-- "Everything I Own"
-- "Harvest In The East"
-- "Waiting In Vain"
-- "Surfin'"
-- "Sayonara Blues"
-- "Congo Man"

From the 2003 CD "¿Que Pasa?" comes the song
-- "Di Chalis Haffi Burn"
and
-- "Get Down" is from the 2005 album
"Off The Hook".

Visit also Wood In Di Fire here on myspace.

If you love what you hear please support the band and buy the album by iTunes.
