Where the first 2 releases on the infamous Crucial Response Records hada strong Cro-Mags feel to them, the sound has evolved into a heavierand more metallic kind of hardcore. On the Human Devil 7' this changewas already audible, but on the new record 'Gospels for the deceived',their sound has changed even more. Strike First blends R.J.'s hauntingroars with blazing guitar riffs, solos and crushing drum beats tocreate another 25 minutes of pure rage. The 11 songs point out thatStrike First's musical power and rage have risen to new levels.
