I thought it would be a good time to introduce you guys to the wonderful world of Eric Staller. When you pick up your brand new copy of vehicles you’ll be looking at some of the spectacular and innovative artwork that he has created over the years. His early experiments with light sources and long shutter speeds are my personal favorites and two of them are included with the CD. The technique he developed allowed him to create some striking images that are pretty unbelievable and difficult to describe (so go look at them already). He also has a wide range of light sculpture, installation, and vehicular (hmm...) design work that will blow your mind. The art choices we made for the album in some ways reflect the lyrical content and in others the general ambience it creates. We’re thrilled with the final product

Eric’s not just a great artist, he’s also a really interesting guy. A lot of his motivation seems to be in the reactions he gets from the observers of his artwork. To really understand him and his many forms of expression, you ought to pick up his book and hear the stories (as only he can tell them) behind his innovative projects.

In any case, this is what you’re going to see around town this April 1st:

And that’s no joke...

See you April 2nd,
Tristan

Wow....very interesting cover..reminds me of a 70's retro album cover.....or something out of "Video Killed the Radio Star"

The Buggles came to mind when I seen this album for the first time as well... But the music is definately not the New Wave 80s, electronic sound of them...

Its definately more a combination of 70's progressive rock and 90's alternative powerhouse songwriting.

What I like most about the artwork is that it has alot of extreme light and darkness, which really personify the sound of the album. Im very interested in talking to you guys in specifics about some of the songs, lyrics and technical aspects.

We will do that in my podcast, The KactusKast --- so Braintoy fans, be on the lookout!
