Reserved For Emperors wasn't exactly my first book.  Recently, I re-discovered a Choose Your Path adventure I wrote with a friend way back when we were in the fourth grade.  I simply had to share it with you all.  Enjoy!

Oh yes!  I remember getting hooked on those back in 4th grade too.  Well, those TYPES of books, generally, as opposed to this one specifically.

They were the best.  I read every one I could get my hands on.  The library at my elementary school had this great program where kids could write books and they would sit in the library until you graduated the sixth grade, which was heavily neato.

Wow! Ty Cobb was your writing partner.

I love the tingly feeling I get when I choose the molecular separation method of travel.

You're hot!

It wasn't the famous baseball player - some other Ty Cobb.  He WAS pretty good at baseball, though.

I used to read these books straight through, pretending I was a god viewing a near infinite number of pasts, presents, and futures.  Or perhaps it spoke to an absurd inability to make choices that grew to eventually stunt me personally, professionally, and intellectually.  Fuck, I hate these books.  No I don't.  Damn it.

Sorry I didn't give you the "straight through" option with my links.  You can still pretend you're a god pretending to be a human, though.

It's "hypertext" fiction.  That term was around long before the Internet.  Er, well, a few years before the Internet as we know it, anyway.

and now i know why i kept getting the "new blog subscription posts!" alert on the home page even though nothing new was showing up in the links on the blog control center page. the mystery has been solved-- it was your choose-your-path adventure pages, which are back-dated to October.

oh, no need to apologize. i don't get the email notifications, and i do a lot of past-dated blogs, so i've probably had plenty of confused blog subscribers myself.

My comment got lost in one of your dimensions...  It was here, and then *poof* gone.  How sad.  It was funny too. (I can say that because no one actually got to read it) As a matter of fact it was the funniest damn thing EVER!

Thank you.  It is amazing how much that didn't help.  I did mention in the "forgotten comment" (that is what I am going to call it in my book), that you have excellent linkage abilities.  Good work ole' chum!  Cheerio then.
