What I have in mind is to present a situation in which the decisions you make could have drastic implications on your life.  The scenarios will be based off of Hollywood movies both past and present... with no real restriction to genre.  So you need to be kinda open minded and imaginative.  I'm curious as to what people would do in these situations.  Would they do what the characters in the movie did..?  Or something else entirely different.  So with that

Here's the first scenario:

It's late in the evening and you and four of your closest friends are attending a birthday party with a few down other people you barely know.  Your much loved significant other decided to stay home that night so he/ she isn't there.  You decide to give him/her a call on your cell phone.  But while you are speaking the building you are in is suddenly shaken to its foundation and you are cut off.  It doesn't feel like an earth quake and you beleive its an explosion until another and bigger rumble is felt.  The television is turned on as people become worried about what is going on in hopes that the news is reporting something. Also some commotion appears to be gaining strength out side of the building you are in.   TV reports are sketchy at best.. but you're sure what ever is going on is not too far... and in fact may even be on top of where you live... your home... where you last spoke to your significant other... the love of your life!

Your attention is drawn to other people from the party screaming about the frantic comotion going on outside.  You and your friends go to check it out... and you cannot believe what you are seeing.  Military and civilian personel firing everything they have at what appears to be a 40 ft. tall behemoth. It is the scariest looking thing you have ever seen out side of a movive.  Its big... it looks mad.. and its kicking thier asses.  You're pretty sure you see it chomp down a few troopers like Raisinets.

Your first instinct is to get the hell out of there with everyone else whose been running while you were staring.. but.... from what you can tell... the reports on the news may have been right.  The battle zone may literally be right on top of where you live............ and the love of your life may still be there... hurt... or worst!

What would you do...?

I would befriend the ugly thing (Assuming it's not the Marshmellow man cause he's not ugly or intimidating and I love marshmellows LOL). In my experience ugly things need love too and simply being nice to it may make it be nicer to other people. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Ok Fay Raye... you're a 'raisinet' for sure. Or should I say 'goober' cause that is just a little too nutty!

Hahaha this is funny! I would probably do like the crowd. Run the other direction and hide until it's all over. Pray my so called S.O. (significant other) --- if I had one-- weathered the storm or in this case the strange invasion. Great blog idea btw HouseQuake.

Well my first reaction, no matter what the situation is, would be to get home no matter what. That's my heart and I need to be sure he is ok. But then when I think about it....

Real talk
if my baby is anything like me, he would've gotten the hell out of there already. I mean if you were at home and all hell broke loose in your building, would you sit there while it's being shot up? That's like on the scary movies snooping around to "investigate that scary noise?" Black folks are taught to get the hell out of dodge and I would be wasting my time going back to an empty home. Plus I'm pretty sure he'd be coming for me.

40ft. Freakshow
Noticing how this thing has an appetite, I wouldn't really be running around in the street. I don't like being snacked or stepped on. With it said that I date people who think on the same wavelength as myself I would have to ask this question while going back inside.." Ok there is a huge something going buckwild in the STREETS. Do I leave the safety of this building to go screaming in the streets risking the possibility of becoming flat or the equivalent to a buffalo wing????" HHMMMM??? NO!! I'll just stay inside away from the chaos and stampedes and tossed vehicles and wait for yall to clear out. I'm sure my baby is thinking the same.

Now if you were talking bout my mama...LOL You already know!!! No questions asked!!!

Once the shock wore off I'd first do everything that was in my power to find out if my sweetie was safe...then I'd worry about my entire home and everything in it! :-O

If any one hasn't guessed by now... the movie you're in is...

"Cloverfield"

I'm not going to offer any spoilers.. past this premise. But let's just say they were in one messed up predicament.

I would immediately start praying, asking God to protect and keep me and my love ones safe and covered in his blood while trying to make my way to my loved ones.
