Eva Marie Original Compositions

Music is so liberating!

Yesterday I had an opportunity to sing an Eva Marie original. It was the first time I had ever rendered this song in public. I was so nervous, nauseous, and everything else. But, my music minister had explain (without specifics) as to why I wrote the song. I think for the first time ever...I just let go...I sang more than 2/3 the song in tears...Black girl was a weepin' and a singin'!  But it was worth it. I found myself singing notes i didn't know I even had in my range. For a whole five minutes it was just me and Jesus. It wasn't until the song was over that  I discovered that Jesus must've let a hundred folks in while I wasn't looking!

A conversation I recently had with one of the girls from my youth group has inspired me to post the lyrics of an Eva Marie original. I know that for some of you (Ruth) my songs only take on character when you are able to hear the music.
