We got a lot during the past few days. Thanks. First off, they finished recording the DTC song. Thanks so much to the engineer for the great sound. And thanks for the great food from the restaurant in Shibuya afterwards. And then, the next morning, we went to Doc Marten's when it opened. They're going to sponsor boots for us! Thank you! They'll wear them with pride! Then we went back to the company, and had a meeting. Afterwards Saki, Tae, Moriko and leader when home to Osaka. Ikasu and Tomi went to Fender. Waiting for them there was a one of a kind custom bass. It has the body of a jazz bass and the neck of a precision bass. Fender gave it to them! It sounds amazing. Very simple and clear. Tomi will get even better with this bass. Thank you so much, Maya-san! And then today Ikasu got a shirt from Over the Stripes to wear after the Coming of Age ceremony. And we even got souvenirs for the rest of the band! Thanks!

Let's take another look back at last year. Sorry! This is during the rehearsal for the Count Down show. During the rehearsal, we had to hustle to make the count down. And here the show begins. 'Zipper' was played faster than Oreska's ever played it, and then the signal to start the count down came...

Happy New Year's to everyone who went to the Count Down show, and anyone who wanted to check out Oreska but couldn't make it, and to all music lovers.

Hey hey, it's Ikasu.
We finished our recording in Tokyo, so I'm on my way back to Osaka. I'm on the train now.
I can help thinking of our full album. But really, I can see it. I can just see it.
I can't wait.
Oh right. Tomorrow is the Coming of Age ceremony. And Saki's birthday. Soon I'll be the only teenager. It's kind of weird to have the ceremony before I actually turn twenty though.
But I'll get to see my friends from middle school. It's interesting to see my friends who knew me back when Oreska first got together.
I'm pretty excited.

I'm a little late, but Happy New Year! We'll keep on rocking this year. Please support us! Today we finished recording the song for Dreams Come True. It came out so well I couldn't stop smirking. I love Dreams Come True, so I was so happy to work with them. I think we'll be able to bring the track to you before Spring. Please pick it out and have a listen when it goes on sale. Oh, I can't wait! The photos are of the sushi that Ikasu and I made during recording, and a picture that Saki and Leader drew of three years from now.

January 1st went so quickly. Did you all have a good new year's eve? I'm so thankful to COUNT DOWN JAPAN for giving us the amazing chance to spend such a great New Year's eve. The SHAKALABBITS put on a great show, and our own show was the most fun I've had all year. Thank you so much to everyone who came to the show! I'm so grateful for all the things I've found and all the people who've supported us in 2008! Thank you!! I went home to Osaka late last night, and Tae-san and some of my old band friends went to Kobe to see the night scenery. As we got higher up the mountain it started to snow. When we got to our destination, it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be, but it was still really cold (which is it?). We walked around, but when we finally got there, it was so foggy we couldn't see anything. I don't really know what the heck we went out into the mountains for in the beginning of the new year, but we bought corn soup, drank it, and then went back down the mountain. (LOL) So now two days of the new year are over. We watched TV all New Year's. It was really boring. We're going to start writing music again this month, and put out a mini album in the spring, and then... I can't say yet, but I think this year will be a lot of fun for both us, and you! Let's enjoy! Please keep supporting us this year, everyone!

Happy new year!
It doesn't even seem like the new year is here, but I guess it is,
I didn't watch any end of the year television or do a big end of the year cleaning. We did have our count down show which was super end of the year-ish, but after that all I did was go home and eat sukiyaki and sleep. What's up with that? Is that what I call New Year's?
That's what I thought, but no, it's really New Year's. I slept late (We'd been up late the night before) and here we are today, this is Ikasu Yoshioka in 2009.
So much happened in 2008: Recording, Warped Tour, the summer festivals, our solo shows in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, and our acoustic show and countdown show at the end of the year.
It was a year full of joy and new experiences.
I met so many people though music this year, in both the US and Japan, and laughed and cried, and sometimes totally spaced out. People and music got me through everything.
So this year, I want to give back to everyone! That might be a weird way of putting it, but I don't know another.
At any rate, I want us keep on being ourselves in 2009.
Oh, I forgot to follow up on my last entry. Santa Claus didn't come.
Santa is so fickle. He skipped us.Happy New Year! [IKASU]

I'm a little late, but our first solo show was so much fun! I felt so happy. Thank you so much to everyone who came to the show. Everyone was dancing crazy, shaking their hips, listening and watching. I really let like everyone was listening to what I was saying too. I'm so happy I got to meet all of you there. After the show we had an after-party at a great pub. We drank with the staff who have become party of the Oreska Family, and man did it hit the stop! Also there were all the staff who lent there time and energy to help us get to where we are now. People said such nice things. It really made me want to keep going. There are so many more people who've supported us from behind the scenes. But even just having the people we had there on that day, all those amazing people helped us have that show on the 22nd, and I'm so happy to have them and to be able to keep on working. We're strong. We can go anywhere. I really do believe that. Thanks everyone! Alright, next up, to dance up a storm in Osaka on the 28th!! Osaka! OSAKA!!!! I'm ready to have a blast!
