The Trip Marks the Star's Seventh Consecutive USO Tour to a Combat Zone

ARLINGTON, Va. – The USO will soon re-deploy megastar Toby Keith downrange, where he will visit and perform for troops as part of a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour. Traveling to the region on what will be his seventh consecutive USO tour, Keith will mesmerize military personnel with his live performances and down-home charm.

Scheduled to touch down on more than 11 small, remote forward operating bases, Keith will also shake hands with newly deployed troops and perform 17 shows in 11 days.

Soon to be recognized by the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) for his ongoing support of U.S. troops and their families, Keith will receive the MOAA Distinguished Service Award on April 21, 2009. Presented to civilians who continually give back to military personnel and go above and beyond the call of duty to enhance their lives, Keith will be honored in a ceremony on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. alongside other notable figures.

"There aren't enough words to describe just how grateful I am to our nation's troops," said Keith. "I've participated in several USO tours over the years and I've seen first hand their sacrifice. And I will not stop doing all I can to show my support and lift their spirits."

A native of Oklahoma, Keith has repeatedly taken time out to tour with the USO. Since working with the organization in 2002, he has traveled to more than 10 countries, participated in more than 128 events and entertained more than 118,000 service members, often at small bases. When he's not out visiting troops, Keith is busy recording tracks or making movies. Since 1993, Keith has released 14 studio albums and sold more than 30 million CDs. His latest album, "That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy" was released in late 2008.

In times of peace and war, the USO consistently delivers its special brand of entertainment and comfort to service men and women around the world. Holiday Favorites Collection On Two-Disc Set On October 16

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Show Dog Nashville, the full-service record label owned and operated by entertainer Toby Keith, will release the singer's first holiday album in more than a decade this fall. The two-disc A Classic Christmas features Keith's renditions of traditional yuletide favorites.

Produced by Keith and Grammy winner Randy Scruggs, the set offers tasteful retellings of beloved favorites including "White Christmas," "Silver Bells" and "The Christmas Song" – all framed by Toby's warm, distinctive vocal stylings.
 
"There's a reason people gravitate to these songs year after year, and I'm no exception," Keith says. "I wouldn't have considered making another Christmas record, if not for the fact that I hadn't done any of these the first time around. And doing a double disc set let us go back and get just about all the big ones."
 
His 1995 release Christmas To Christmas was marked by fresh compositions, many of them penned by Keith. For A Classic Christmas, however, the set list covers a most hallowed holiday's most hallowed ground.
