Current mood: exhausted
first on a sbux note... my k.d. lang guy came in yesterday... i had his drink wrong on the first blog... i’ll take this time to correct that.
through the window: "tall extra hot mocha" -... i remember you "is that a good thing or a bad thing?" i hand the cup to aimee and say "remember that k.d. lang story?" then wave the cup and set it down for her to make "so is that a good think or a bad thing?" i look at him and then walk to the back room.
so anyways life seems to be just silly lately... here i’ll fill you in -i have a new friend! i like to call her renizzle. - i’m currently burned out at work... i closed four nights last week... one ten hour day, one clean sweep, and one night of closing with just one other barista... can’t wait for my next day off - i’m pretty sure my big sis lies to me... - my big sis was hit and chocked by the girl she is "in love" with - bean and the grr broke up... - whitney is coming to portland.. like soon! - bean is looking into coming to portland - congrats to Kellie, Angie, and Lily for being the three cutest pregnant ladies i know! - i can’t get Olive off my mind...
so there, a lil exciting news mixed in with the bad... i would go into detail with it all but frankly i could care less to get all hyped up about it... i’ve already shed my tears, clapped my hands, worried my nights away, and jumped in joy... AKA: i’m exhausted...
peace out!
lima beans, natasha

Current mood: chill
don't be fooled by my lack of starbucks blogs... most the customers are still ass wipes... so here are a few stories just to let you know why we are "the best espresso in the the neighborhood"
Though the Window:
so starbucks, being the oh so advance coffee shop, had technical difficulties on friday... our safe wouldn't open... so until we found a store to give us some dollas we say the following:
"I'm sorry we're closed due to some technical difficulties. Would you like a free coffee for the inconvinence?"
we posted signs... but some people are illiterate... so from 5 - 11 we say that to almost every costumer who went through the drive...
customer pulls up... sarah answers with... "I'm sorry we're closed due to some technical difficulties. Would you like a free coffee for the inconvience?" the customer says "oh... closed?" sarah explains the situation and asks again if he would like a cup of coffee... "yes" so then she asks if he would like cream or sugar in that... his response: "yeah, a nonfat mocha" sarah explains that she has regular black coffee... customers says: "didn't you have a meeting about making customers satisfied?" sarah is a little confused and doesn't know what to say... so in her hesitation he decides to inform us on how poor our costomer service is and drives away...
so a man walks up to the door... reads the sign saying we are closed and then tries to open the door (i still don't understand why so many people do this)... he then decides that his eyes are playing tricks on him and his arms aren't strong enough to open the door... so he pounds on it... i'm currently on hold with the help desk and helping sarah get coffees for all the kids in drive... but i can see he is NOT happy so i walk to the door... i open him and tell him everything he had already read on the sign... i apologize and all that jazz... he isn't having it... i tell him i can get him a cup of coffee on the house... then he asks me where the closes starbucks is... "ummm... i don't know... let me ask sarah." sarah doesn't know... he says "nice, thats just fucking nice." my response "sorry, have a good weekend!"
a woman pulls up... we explain the annoying situation to her... she looks so puzzled on the screen... then she asks what time we will open... we're not sure... she accepts the free coffee... when she gets to the window we have a few samples for her of some scrumptious scones... she asks us how the morning is going... "interesting" i say... she gives us a two dollar tip... and tells us to have a wonderful day... i think it was her geniune smile when she drove away that just made us forget all the rejects coming through...
so on a different day a man walks into the cafe... he gets a mocha... i believe it was a no whip mocha... don't remember the size tho... anyways he picks up K.D. Lang's cd... he's looking at it... "oh do you like her too?" i ask... the man looks at me... slightly surprised...says "thats a girl" then looks at the cd and puts it back as if all of a sudden its infected... he tell me... "i don't listen to that kind of stuff" i'm puzzled... he can tell i'm puzzled... he tells me his kids give him crap for not listening to it... i ask "oh like female artist" loser customer- "no its not that" me- "oh... alternative?" loser customer- "no she's a lesbian." me- "umm..." thinking in my head... you haven't even heard her music.. you didn't even know she was a girl how the hell do you know she is a lesbian. loser customer- "i know, i listen to elton john though." me- "oh so i take it you're not too fond of boy george." he didn't like that comment.. he rolled his eyes... he then tells me how he just can't listen to music from "them" me- "them?" loser customer- "you know... she's a dike." he then shakes his head... i should have mentioned this before but from the moment he walked in the door he just fidgeted. so he is like moving all over... loser customer- "i know what you're thinking... what if she worked here." me- "well yeah i guess what if she was your barista?" loser customer- "i would never come back" me- "oh... so because you think she is a 'dike' you wouldn't come here?" loser customer- "she doesn't even look like a girl" me- "so if i looked like that... you'd never come back?" loser customer- "yeah i'm sorry, i don't care what your personality is like... if you were a dike i wouldn't come back... i should probably get my mocha before you kick me out" me- "yeah, probably..." he got his mocha and left... i just stood there in disbelief for awhile...

Current mood: hopeful
today was a LAZY day... although i did get some things done... like pay my phone bill (some people really lack customer service skills)...
so i decided to take my tip money and buy some grub... they say not to shop when you're hungry, but i must disagree here... i wasn't hungry at all and i pretty much just walked about trader joes for like 45 mins... i bought three things: carrots, snow peas, bow tie noodles. WOW thats a pretty heavy load... anyways i learned my lesson and next time i'll go when i'm starving...
so i'm starting to notice how my relationships back home are changing... i knew it would happen i'm just bumped that i let it... i went from seeing some people no less than three times a week, to talking on the phone daily, to phone calls every other night and an e-mail inbetween, to now... some people i don't even get to actually talk to even once a week... (nette answer your damn phone!)... it just sucks... sometime i feel like all i do is play phone tag... and it seems like all the voice mails i get anymore are sad... or just... just... i can't think of the word... like we except the other not to answer... i don't know... sometimes when i talk to someone its like everything in the world has changed... like i'm talking to a complete stranger... anyways i don't want to complain about it... i guess i'm just making a public note to change it... ok so enough with religion and christians/mormons/unitarians/jews/athiests... it seems like we only have enough religion to hate and not enough to love... and well frankly its just been bringing me down... peace out cool people of the world...
