Humeur actuelle :overjoyed and tired!
...........and so it has finally come to pass.........Ang and I finally, officially tied the knot after 11 years!!!!!!  Yay!!!!!!
For those of you who don't know, we are expecting our 3rd child mid-August, so we decided that it was time to do it.  It bothered both of us that she did not have the same last name as her children, so we stopped making excuses, lol.
The ceremony was this past Sunday, February 22nd, which also happens to be our anniversary.  We got married at the Performing Arts Pavilion at Municipal Park by my old friend Rob Willman.  Angela was gorgeous and radiant in her wedding gown (which she actually purchased several years ago!).  Her friend Sarah, my sister Ashley, her niece Abigail served as bridesmaids, while our daughter Anna was the super-gorgeous flower girl.  My brother Ellis and my boys Alex and Gavin served as groomsmen.  I wore black dress pants, black dress shirt, and a black tie with silver, white, and teal stripes (the theme colors were teal, silver, black and white).
We had a lot of fun, and are certainly glad we finally did it, lol!

Today sucks a little harder now, as two of my favorite big-screen villains have been silenced:  Patrick McGoohan, who played the delightfully evil King Edward the Longshanks in Braveheart, and the pimptastic Ricardo Montalban, who was fucking genius (in his awesome fake muscled prosthetic chest) as Kahn Noonian Singh from both the series Star Trek and, more importantly, from the film Star Trek II:  the Wrath of Khan.  May these awesome actors, and noble gents, rest in peace..............

Humeur actuelle :fucking devastated
....it went like this:  "What, they have bigger dicks???  Bomb them!!!!"

I am in absolute shock right now.  I was up feeding the boy so I decided to check my email.  I logged out of yahoo and what do I see?  A news headline saying that George Carlin has died.  This can't be.  The man is one of my personal heroes, easily in my top 3 favorite comics (along with Bill Hicks and Patton Oswalt).  I really thought the guy would live forever, much like Keith Richards.  I remember when I bought his book Braindroppings, reading it at 2 in the morning in Denny's with Lex and Gav, after a night of hard drinking, and we took turns reading it out loud to each other, and we laughed so hard we damn near pissed ourselves.  I got to see George perform at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre back in '97 (I know Jay and Catherine will remember this), and he was amazing.  After the show, he stuck around and greeted fans from the stage, taking time to shake hands and say hello.  Shaking his hand was a magical experience, like touching the divine.  I will miss him.  Sorry if this blog is disjointed and rambling, but I think you understand.  I would love it if you guys want to share your thoughts, maybe your favorite bits of George's.

Wow, It's been awhile since I last blogged (January 28th, to be precise),
and that one doesn't count since all I did was post a couple of videos (awesome
though they may be).  A lot has been happening these past few months, so I decided to give a few updates, welcome some new friends, and just kinda ramble on for a bit. So, please, bear with me (or bare with me, whichever you prefer). I am still working at CVS, and it has really started to kinda-sorta suck. My boss doesn't exactly have the greatest inter-personal skills, and tends to rely less on positive feedback and more on veiled threats and criticism as motivational tools. Also, the expectations of those in positions above me (store manager, district manager, etc) are pretty unrealistic. With the amount of work we have to do (stocking product, customer service, setting planograms and displays, photo lab, running a shift, making deposits, paperwork, price changes, discounting items, etc), you would think that it would be like other drugstores: at least one member of management, a cashier or two, and a photo lab specialist (this is not counting actual pharmacy personnel). Instead we have two people: a manager and a cashier. They expect us to get it all done, and when it is nearly impossible to do so, we get shat upon. These things make it hard to enjoy my job, much less want to go in to work. I need a new job, with better hours, better pay, and less stress, lol.

This is compounded by the fact that Angela, bless her, has been on bed rest since right after we got back from New York, which means she hasn't worked since early March, which has cut our income in half. It sucks, but fuck it, we are having ourselves a rockin' baby boy in roughly 4 weeks!!! His name will be Alan Michael Hardy, and his nickname will be Indiana (Indy for short). I have decided that since Anna was born with Sarah MacLachlan playing in the background, the boy will be born to John Williams, either the Indiana Jones theme, or the Imperial March from Star Wars. How awesome does that sound? I did try to get Ang to let me pick the name, but she thought Han Solo Hardy was awful, silly girl!! (I love you anyway, my sweet!!) We are both excited about the baby, and cannot wait to hold him in our arms!! Anna is excited, too, she says she is gonna give her baby brother bunches of kisses, but she refuses to even entertain the notion of changing poopie diapers. She is going to be a fantastic big sister, though!

Well, that's all for now, I have to go pick up Anna from school, then get ready to go see Iron Man with my Dad. I will leave you with the new trailer for The Dark Knight, hitting theatres on July 18, 2008:

So right now I am broke.  B-R-O-K-E!!!!!  I hate it.  The holidays are here, and I have yet to start my shopping.  Because I am so broke, I have taken to trimming my own hair.  I did this for the first time a couple of monts back, and was pleased with the results (though Angela would beg to differ).  I noticed, the other day, that it was getting a tad unruly, so I decided to trim it again.  Mind you, this was at one in the morning (I bore easily, obviously).  I took a quickie shower, dried my locks with a hair dryer, and grabbed the clippers.  In hindsight, this was a bad idea.  In my haste, I slipped.  Gouged a nice furrow that was more than noticeable.  So I fixed it the only way it could be fixed:  Shaved my head to about a quarter inch of my scalp.  I look like Bud White from L.A. Confidential, only chubbier.  And with glasses.

I hate this haircut, but I have to live with it.  When I was 19, I decided to go skin-fucking bald, total chrome-dome, Lex Luthor.  The result was more like Uncle Fester.  I do not look good bald.  My head is oddly shaped, and I have fat rolls on the back of my neck (sexy, huh?).  I must say, though,if i could get away with it, I would totally rock a mohawk........

For those interested, here is the

before and the after.

Until next time...................

So I got home from work today and sat down to check my sites for any cool news or updates, and found some pics that made my skin tingle and my nipples harden, and caused much slack-jawed drooling. No, not pics of Estelle Getty lezzing out with Bea Arthur (though c'mon, how hot would that be???). No, what I found was these pretties:

Go here!!!!!!!!

Gorrammit, my frakking heart is all aflutter!!!! (That's right, I just referenced Firefly and Battlestar Galactica in the same sentence. Do something!) I am so stoked for The Dark Knight (opening July 18, 2008!!!!) and these leaked pics are just icing on the cake.

OK, I am going through a small geek overload, so I have to run....later my lovelies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Humeur actuelle :bleary
My very good friend, Mr Dan Leskowski, told me a story last night. He was talking to a co-worker who was complaining about her sibling's terrible grammar. "My brother's spelling is herocious!" she said. Dan, being the reasonably intelligent guy that he is, was momentarily struck dumb before he attempted to correct her. "I think the word you are looking for is 'atrocious'.....'herocious' is not a word." It took a minute or two to convince her. Dan regaled me with this charming tale, and we shared a laugh, then started spitballing possible definitions for the newest addition to our respective vocabularies (it has replaced 'pregnat', which was found in a text message sent to Dan's friend Staci from her ex). We finally settled on one I am proud to have thought up, with help from Dan, of course:

herocious (adjective): a combination of the words heroic and atrocious; used to indicate something disgustingly heroic

(apparently I should have Googled it before I started this blog. I just did it and found these.

Fuck it, I still like ours better. Especially after several beers and a shot of SoCo and Red Bull, which is actually quite tasty. Dan and I went out last night to celebrate my last night working at the dog track (I am now full-time with CVS). We started at Thunders, where we walked straint into last call. Next up was Sherry Lee's, but there was drunken redneck karaoke, so we went to the Touchdown Tavern, where we once again walked into last call. (I did like this bar: it was annoyingly well-lit and even had a claw machine for the kids!!) We ended up back at Sherry Lee's, where we drank more beer (and that tasty fucking shot) and just plain had a great time.

Well, folks, that's all for now....later!!!!!
