After a series of breakups and breakdowns, a bunch of million dollar
riffs and a few slumsounds, the guitar recordings were finally
finished. We had to hold a few week break in between due to some
personal shit and a heavy listening of the new Alice In Chains album,
but that’s how it always goes, right? Also we had to show the door for
our “permanent” session helper Jack Tragedy, but jazz and rock do
differ you know. We wish Tragedy all the best, thanks for helping us
out man! This resulted in me having to replay some of Tragedy’s parts
due to the requirements of the perilous producer, forever-Entwined Aksu
Hanttu.
Aksu also whipped my ass in the studio for two weeks right in the
middle of Finland’s hottest summer in middle July, forcing me to
regurgitate these goddamn thirteen songs over and over again up to the
point I almost had to call it quits. However, my very good friend and
mentor, a person I totally look up to, Michael Monroe of the legendary
Hanoi Rocks fame, was in the studio to help me out and to take part in
the recordings by laying out some vocals and a few infectiously catchy
sax and harp solos. Be sure to check out how we tee it off in Strangled
In Stereo, the heaviest piece of shit we’ve ever made. Hallelujah!
Now I am in the middle of recording the backing vocals and finalizing
the keyboards with my man in the mirror, Dexter the great. A looking in
view, indeed! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clJ1P6cT83Q

Howdy everybody!
Bass guitar recordings for the second album are done. I went to the
Grooveland studios in Lahti (100km east from Helsinki) in Thu & Fri
25.-26.6. with recorder/producer Aksu Hanttu. The first day went pretty
much with technical work and looking for a good bass sound. We managed
to record 4 songs in first day and the rest 9 in the second day. So it
was a busy second day! :) Studio was great with professional equipment
and good acoustics... well, that can u expect of course. We managed to
achieve a great sound with my gear (Ampeg amps, Ibanez bass, MXR
pedals). Working with Aksu was really nice and smooth, he is a very
nice guy and a great professional!! No surprise he's been working with
many of the top finnish and european bands during his career. So
overally 13 songs were recorded and I'm well satisfied and looking
forward to hear the mixings later on!! Recordings are now continuing
with the vocal recordings.. Pictures coming up later on!!! Many thanks
for Aksu for the great job done!
Cheers and stay tuned!!

Hello everybody! I'm happy to inform you that drums for the new Kinetik Control album are done. I entered Tico Tico -studio in Kemi on 25th May to bash down the tracks. I managed to nail in the songs in one and a half day instead of three, so apparently hard work does pay up and guys can start their parts little bit earlier. Working with Ahti was really easy and smooth so recording at Tico Tico couldn't have gone any better. -Jake-
