Hi! After...at least a year? I donno; I was locked out of Myspace. The interwebs would not allow it.

I'm back with decals to show. Not just any. The kind of thing I invented, that was already invented...at least it feels that way to my Muse. I imagined something, and I had never seen it before, I made it happen, and I am excited about that.

What can you do with that big 'ol bead? See those lil' people in there...

Slide the decal off the paper....and meld to glass!

I started using my art as a tool. All of those doodles in class, and at work... (I am a professional doodler!)
So, I put my work to work. And I hope the Artists in the world can take it into their context. Make art.

It's good to be back Myspace...see you around...

BIG GLASS BEAD SALE!
Happy Valentines!

Myspace blog Update! Here is a copy of my Up to date  Art blogs:

:)

I have been wrapping my beads with sterling silver wire. This is it! Neat wrap. Very little tool mark. Still polished! In no way do I claim the title as "jeweler".... I definetly am getting these how I like tho.... (A couple hundred beads later)

This is available at my Etsy shop for a holiday affordable price.

Holiday's!! ONE WEEK AWAY is my yearly Holiday show. AT THE DEARBORN GLASS ACADEMY!! December 6 (Santa from 2 to 4) Open 10 am to 4 pm. December 7 Open 10 am to 4 pm (My 2nd year, and I plan to be back next year!!)

My work is going to be beside some of the most very talented in my town! I am proud to be there! AT THE DEARBORN GLASS ACADEMY!! (They just updated some pictures on the HOME page! You can see Chris and Michelle! Super hip people that make art as a product line, and an element inside numerous corporate head quarters! Um...hello!

These two are a success. Come check it out!) Dearborn, Michigan is right outside Detroit. Saturday and Sunday! Art, glass melting, demonstrations, craft classes! It is a big building with lots to see!

Another show going on the same weekend. (My work is not there...) Friday, December 5-and throughout the weekend Epiphany studio is open. April and Jay. April from up north (Interlochen, MI.) and Jay from Lahser high school (Bloomfield hills, MI) They met at the Center for Creative studies, graduating in/around 1997 with Fine art glass sculpting as the specialty.

They are very talented. April has a sculpture line that I admire Very much!! (I just know I would love to talk back to one of her sculptures with a sculpture. Yeah, really! I share the content desire she has. Except I am a little bit more illustrational, and she is a bit more "essential"...Or "the essence" of a form. I hope to be at that level some day.

I am really hoping to make it to Epiphany studio! I will be setting up for my show at Dearborn on Friday....not sure I will make it...; If not, I want to go there and see the work they have been making all year. I bet a bunch of new EXTREEMLY AWESOME pieces are for sale. They open by appointment.

I can tell already it is going to be a VERY busy week. Happy holiday's! hope you can find the perfect gifts! Many New designs for Christmas.......

Shows! YAY! I LOVE art shows.  So many awesome things to look at.

November 1st is Winter Wonders in Birmingham, Michigan. (my 3rd year!) Lampworking demonstrations go on all day. (I demo there every year!) We have sculptors, bead makers, jewelry makers, dish makers, art for the sake of art makers. A great show with great prices.  Buy direct from the Artist!

December 6th and 7th ~ Dearborn glass art academy (my 2nd year there!) Furnace glass demonstrations go on the entire show. You can come in with a design in your head, and they will make it right there.

I may do some lampworking demonstrations at Dearborn too?...we talked about it. Either way, other Artist's like Marc Vandenberg (great forms, and scorpions), Toby Upton (bugs!), Louis and his hot goblets! You never know what these boys might whip up?

keepin' it hot!

Happy Fall is on the WAY!

This fall~I will have many art beads, Custom family beads, and marbles available for sale at my website.  You can also view my past glass art work at my gallery page. See my Links page if you want to get some more Art or glass cyber space connections! (Keeping the Network strong.)

See my "Schedule" to see where I wish to be this year.  Next show is in October! Two shows in Michigan in October.

If you get a chance, check out my ETSY SPOT!  (Etsy is a site where all the shops are self representing Artists.)  I will keep items FOR SALE there.

MANY NEW ITEMS starting WAY low ON EBAY TODAY!!! Although, that will not stay that way. I will continue auctions at Ebay, but with the rise of my Side job, that could easily turn into a-taking-A-LOT-of-my- time JOB, it makes sense to just list for free at My Website, instead of paying all of THOSE FEAS!!!!!  ( AND!! Although my making art time will stay the same. My marketting art time is going to (slowly), possibly, be ripped away. Or, I am just freaking out that it will.--Okay! Enough IN side scOOP!)

If you like to talk and think art; visit my art (blahg) Blog!

This blog on Myspace started December 2006...I have some old sketch book studies, and good healthy inspirational thoughts...(I think)...so, you can view my old BLAHGS (!)  by going to the "Blog Archive" area on the left hand side of the screen.

This is a collage I made of (what I believe is) my best marbles to date. Made with Vetrofond clear, peeled as good as I can get it.  Schott crystal paper weights will come out for you to see in the following month. Yes, absolutely flawless beautiful glass.

These are all One of a kind, and are made with a limited supply of One of a kind glass murrini and/or mosaic cane.  (Mosaic cane is when you put numerous millefiori, or previously created  murrini together.)

I have been enterring jurried exhibitions this past year. The most exciting one to be a part of is the International Society of Glass bead makers, "Out of the box" exhibition. My work was selected (along with 29 other artists) to travel the US in 2008.

I just received an e-mail that the show is currently being exhibited in the Ohio museum of glass. I will get some links and contact info. together, and post it here, as soon as it is available. (I was told that the museum is so happy with the exhibit; they want to feature all of our exhibits in the years to follow.)

here are some pictures-

Titled~ "Mother nature at work"

She is 3-1/2" or 4" tall? Made with Soft glass, the murrini petals are made by me (one of a kind) Each petal is cold worked; smoothed flat; before and after flame introduction.  She lives inside a 5" plexiglass box. (Inside a glass museum today )

This glass bead has zig zag lines that represent mountains. Totally taken from traditional Dzi bead patterns (I pronounce "Zeye") ...to the  Tibetins (Chineese; who pronounce it "Zee") the zig zag represented mountains.

Yes, I borrowed that. And this bead really does have a primitive look. "Primitive", one of my favorite art jargin type words.  Taught to me by Thomas Persish, a wonderfull professor of the arts. (Thomas Parish was one of my painting professors from when I attended Wayne State University in 1993...
Fine, Performing and Communication Arts
Art and Art History Professor, at Wayne State University)

Tom was around before the art internet movement; so...I could only find an add for one of his shows going on right now in Detroit, Mi.; Click here (http://www.detroitartistsmarket.org/exhibitions.htm)

WHat does Primitive mean? Read about it here....remember! If it is primitive, it is not "less than", or "not as good as something else".  When we become good at things, or faster at them; we see things over and over again...things tend to seam simple and less complicated. We tend to de-value, or not appreciate...

THERE, Some thought to chew on for ya!

here is a picture of Lady in a dress 7; this weeks Ebay auction...

I LOVE the primitive. Mattise, fauves!

peace!
