If you live in Australia then you'll have definitely heard of Underbelly (think The Wire or The Sopranos, it's equally as good too!). Apple Pie features in the finale of season 2 which you can download here. I'm super excited about this! x

I got sent this on facebook, and thoroughly entertained myself writing about, erm, myself. So I figured people may be equally entertained reading about me! ha!

1. I broke my ankle when I was 14 chasing a scrub turkey. It really hurt, and suffice to say I didn't catch the turkey.

2. I spent roughly a year and a half working as a film agent to Ken Russell. I was rubbish. Not helped by the fact I was trying to pimp out scripts that revolved around musical incest and blaxploitation in out of space. Actually that should have helped a lot, but as I said, I was rubbish. I did enjoy his stories about Oliver Reed over lunch though.

3. On the famous person bent, I was once interviewed by Barry Adamson from The Bad Seeds for a PA job in a Starbucks in West London. I didn't get the job, it went to a proper PA. I think the fact that I kept asking about what it was like to work with David Lynch didn't help.

4. I have now lived in the UK for just over a third of my life.

5. Dan and I got married after knowing eachother for less than six months and "courting" for roughly three of those. Give or take a few incidences inbetween. But it was roughly three months. We'll have been hitched 10 years next year. Blimey.

6. You know those party popper things? I once blew a gun version of these into my mouth to impress my new boyfriend. It didn't have a cartridge in it at the time, but my mouth did light up.

7. I have written a song for the new Coco Electrik album called White Ink about being immersed in breast feeding. It's not as bad as it sounds, but listening to it from a fresh perspective I wonder whether people may think I am singing about semen?

8. If I was born a boychild, my parents were going to call me Richard. So I would have been called Dick Booty, doomed or blessed with the only two professions I could have had: Private Dick or Porn Star.

9. My good friend Toby Weidmann gave a copy of my debut album to John Waters. He was wearing a lovely pair of brogues at the time. That's John Waters, not Toby.

10. Jesus, how can anyone find 25 things to say about themselves? Sorry Jesus, I know you could what with all the water to wine, befriending prostitutes etc etc. But I'm struggling here.

11. I once knew a girl who used to be a male American GI, but loved women so much he decided to become one so he could be a lesbian. His name used to be Dennis, and he changed it to Deni. There you go. Beat that, Jesus. She was cute too - like a lady Robocop. In a good way.

12. When I was a child I despised the taste of jelly mixed with ice cream, turkish delight and fish. I have gotten over the first two, but still can't be doing with eating anything sea related. Shudders.

13. When shooting the video for Cuts & Lies with Acoustic Ladyland, the make up girl starting plucking at my upper lip. I know I have a little natural lady hair in that region (don't we all?) but I really didn't think it was that bad, and told her so. She reluctantly left said area alone... leaving a curious tension between us for the rest of the shoot.

14. I am very Australian, but about 100 years ago there were some Irish, Scottish and Cornish (oh and some Bootys from Norwich) who hopped on a handful of boats and made my ancestors. Prior to this I was infused with a little Portuguese Jewish blood, and I will milk this connection til the day I die.

15. I had major freckles and braces at school and was affectionately called Jaws by a boy that I was in love with. Actually I don't think it was that affectionate. And the love was not returned.

16. I don't drive and have never had a lesson in my life. One day I might, but I'm not making any promises to myself.

17. I was once called "The best dressed girl in the room" by a breathless Graham Coxon. I think this was when he was still drinking heavily.

18. I once made serious eye contact with Jimmy Page and had a Demonseed moment. Years later I have given birth to a child who shares the same birthday as Page. Slightly disconcerting, as I was always more of a Robert Plant fan.

19. When I asked my sister what it was like being an only child for five years before I came along she said it was fantastic. When I asked what it felt like when I was born she said she was devasted.

20. I once broke a dinner plate over my sister's head when I was little. She had to have stitches. See above.

21. I once tried to impress a boy by telling him I had one of his favourite tracks on 6" vinyl.

22. I often have fantasies about recreating Kate Bush's Cloudbusting video with Kiefer Sutherland. How cool would that be? Mmm, Sutherlands.

23. When I was small I fell asleep dribbling on my Boy George fan magazine. I woke up and his face was all distorted with child spit. I also tried to go to school dressed as Boy George around the same time.

24. I wrote my first song when I was 14. It involved the words "Living in a schizophreniac's ear, dripping though the gates of hell". Which is quite pretty really.

25. My family were in the papers when my sister and I were born. My Mum made medical history as one of the first women in the world to give birth after a kidney transplant. The headline in "Women's Weekly" when I was born said "More Booty for Queensland Mum".
