We have nothing up on eBay this week.  With the kids home on break getting anything up was near impossible (had to stay up until 5 am writing this newsletter!).

Steve had 2 watercolor commissions that he took for San Diego 2008 and he just finished the second one.  Now you know why he doesn't take painted commissions anymore!

This request for for Tom Mix and he did a fantastic job!  The image is posted in Facebook and I'll be posting it to MySpace and Comc Art Fans as well as SteveRude.com.

The original is approximately 18" x 25" and was done in watercolor on watercolor paper.

Congratulations to
Mike & Ann Baron


Baron's Wedding
Congratulations to Mike Baron and Ann Fisher who were married on October 10th in Fort Collins, Colorado.  More pictures are posted in our Facebook and I'll be putting them in MySpace as well.

The whole family drove to Colorado from Arizona for the wedding and Steve, who is fond on yelling "Pull over now!" while I'm driving, got some great scenic shots to be used in upcoming paintings.

GALLERY SHOW UPDATES
Here's what's going on with Steve's gallery art this month...

Copper Pot Still LifeSUN DUST GALLERY ACCEPTS ART INTO EXHIBIT

Steve is pleased to announce that his artwork "Copper Pot" has been accepted into the  "Real Art" juried exhibit. Response to the exhibit was exceptional with submissions of over 125 works of art. Professor and Gallery owner Ron Floyd, judge for the October juried exhibit,  selected about 23 percent of the artwork submitted for the exhibit, which included paintings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, and digital art. 
 
The opening reception will occur on Friday evening, October 9, 2009 from 6pm to 9pm. The "Real Art" exhibit is being held as part of three SunDust Gallery exhibits opening that evening. 

Note from Steve: "I painted this still life when I was attending the painting workshops of Gregg Kreutz.  Gregg is a realist in the tradition of Rembrandt, where drama can be achieved when a light object is displayed against a dark background."
