To the Future!

So San Diego! A lot of everything happened at the Comic Convention these past five days. Most of which I can't go into yet. I can say Haven Distro is looking forward to working with the retailers and publishers we met at the con.

As for Nocturnal Essence, I can say two things.

1. It is coming back. Issue 5 is written and we are looking for an artist.

2. I am cooking up an idea for promoting the book. The idea really is in it's infancy, but with some help from my friends, it could be a lot of fun for me AND you. More details to come as I put it together.

With nursing school done and the state boards behind me, I am looking forward to pursuing my two passions: Nursing and writing. I will finally have the time, energy and money to get production back on Nocturnal Essence. I realize that it's been hard with the long breaks in between. I apologize for that, but I needed to finish school in order to ensure that this project continues. It's very dear to me and I'm very excited that I can be a more active force behind it.

Now I'm off to get some rest and if any of you haven't had a chance yet ... DON'T SEE the X-files movie... sigh :( I'll go more into later when I can explain why I didn't like better.

Much to my horror ...

I received a jury summons in the mail today. I crossed my fingers and PRAYED that it wouldn't interfere with my studying, the NCLEX date I picked, or going to San Diego. That would have potentially fucked up my July plans for the second time already.

Happily, I am a standby juror so I might get out of it all together, and it's for July 28th. the day after I get back from San Diego! So I will be awesomely cheesed if I have to go Downtown... which of course it has to be at the Daley Center

Really Haven’t had time to Blog...

Even after I graduated from Nursing School (Yes that's finally over!), I've been awesomely busy. I've been reacquainting with old friends in my spare time from studying for the NCLEX. <_<

I took some time off for fun, but had been practicing questions to at least keep my mind active on nursing topics. For the last two weeks I have been doing a ton more questions and reading a dry review book. It's a really good book, but @_@. So I'm doing an online review tomorrow. It's a lot better since it's interactive!

2 weeks till D-day! July 14th is when everything I worked for is put on the line. Thankfully I'll be able to find out if I passed the state boards two days later, but I know I'm going to be a basketcase until I find out the results.

Last four days have been awesome and when I'm more coherent I'll talk about Pride, Comic-Con and Sidetracks =)

4 more weeks ...

... 2 papers, 3 quizzes, clinical, and a final and I AM DONE WITH NURSING SCHOOL!

I am in the middle of my ethics paper and daydreaming about how much little time is left with my Oakton student nursing career! Oddly, I wish it could be extended a tad since I am nervous as all hell!

I have to speak in front of 500+ people at pinning to introduce our guest speaker. I hope I don't freak out too much ... I have never spoken before that many people. The most was at Northeastern and speaking in front of my Organic Chemistry class. That was maybe 30+ classmates? >_>

Thank you Heidi for convincing me to take the Treasurer job ... you suck
