hello lovely people....

so, its all out in the open now. our super surprise. launching a new record. well, it may be a new record, but all the songs on it are old. old demos and sessions and outtakes. hence the name 'mistakes and outtakes 2002-2004'. it features 10 little amber songs that you have probably heard before, but probably don't have copies of, and certainly not all on one CD. oh, and there is also a special remix of a special song by a special guest... and the best thing about it? it is FREE! yup, that is right. the first 100 peeps through the door on the night will receive a free cd. and anyone who decides to buy some merch from us on the night will also receive a free copy. wow.

so come along to the show. it is on a friday, so you won't have to get up for work the next day (unless, like me, you are misfortunate enough to work on saturdays)

if you want to know any more about the show, or anything about anything in general, drop me a line.

love

HA HA! our first 'official' diary entry. i posted one before it became our 'official' web diary, but now it is laid wide open for the world to see, not just the good myspace chaps and chapettes...

so, what does one say in one's online diary? well, we are doing good. preparing for our fantastic forthcoming show at the cabaret voltaire... (its this saturday, in case you omitted to read the listing). we are really looking forward to it: not played live for 3 months! so come along and share our excitement!

i don't feel well today. i probably did myself over last night and over the weekend: it has been a heavy few days, and now i feel as if i have the 'flu. but nevermind, i'm sure it will be passed by tomorrow...

oh well, i'm off for a jam with the surf band...

hope you like the new site: www.littleamber.co.uk. if not, i guess that is just tough.

Fans and friends of old and new...

First of all, I feel that we should begin with an apology. Sorry about the lack of Amber-ness of late: website updates, gigs, music, responses to emails... We have been incredibly busy lately with non-musical things..

Robbie has been sitting professional exams, and working extremely hard for them. He is now a chartered surveyor. Thus, he must be addressed as Robbie Henderson BSc(hons) MRICS from now. The boy did good...

Ewan has been recording with other bands (he is a band-whore), and finalising his planned return to academia after the summer. He is going to study biological sciences at college, with a view to moving on to university the following year. In a few years, he will be referred to as Ewan M Shemilt BSc(hons). Good stuff....

Steve has been working his arse off at university, dealing with the mentally ill. I passed all my exams, which is nice. Also dealing with issues of a personal nature (if you have met me recently, I have probably drivelled in your ear for hours about them). One year of med school to do, then that is me. Then, you will be addressing me as Dr Steven A Birrell MBChB. Or I'll be kicking your ass...

But from now, ITS ALL GO!!!! We have several gigs planned, which will be announced next week, as well as a radio session. We also plan to release an acoustic ep in the not-too-distant future. We are finalising plans with the festival people too, and will hopefully have a few shows in the fringe...

Thanks for your continued support. New website / gig announcements / pics next week.

Steve (bass player extrordinaire / web geek)
