Current mood: smitten
I was in London for a week. It was amazing. I met my childhood acting idol which was incredible. I could go on about it all for ever, and maybe I will come back to this.
Nathan and I saw "Speed the Plow" by Mamet, and with Kevin Spacey and Jeff Goldblum. It was a wonderful performance, never a moment when I wasn’t completely engaged.
My last night in London I saw a show that was a combination of two short plays by Pinter; it was titled "The Lover & The Collection." I wanted to see it because they were by Pinter, and I had never seen Pinter performed. The night before going I realized who was in the cast. Each of the cast members have been in movies, but Charlie Cox, who stars in a the recent movie Stardust was in it!
He was incredible. He redefined the definition of my ideal male body type. Or in other words, he has the most gorgeous fucking sexy body I have seen. His posture, his build, it was hard to pay attention to the rest of the play, except not really; God, Pinter is so good!
After the play I found the stage door. After I had waited for a few minutes three other people came over. As actors came out those three got their autographs, and I said great job. When Charlie came out I fell into step with him and told him what a brilliant performance he had done.
He was the most charming and cheerful chap. He looked so dapper with his hat, it was in such good taste (the pic does it no justice).
He has a friend who just moved to Oregon, and he absolutely loves Germany!
That was quite possibly the best 4 days of my life. It was overwhelming. I want to say that meeting Charlie Cox was the best and most intense 3 minutes of my life, but then again I also met Nathan in the same few days, and spent time with some of my best friends. So all together it just blew my mind. Thats not even to mention the city of London; it is gorgeous! I can say that a city is a city, but then a city like London comes along and blows those words out of the water. Although really, the city would have been nothing without the people and the plays.
