THE OFFICE OF THE APOSTLE . . .

THE OFFICE OF THE APOSTLE IS NOT AN ELECTED OFFICE
BUT IT IS SET IN THE CHURCH BY GOD

The Office of the Apostle is the foremost ministry in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. An Apostle is not appointed by men. The Bible says that the Holy Ghost is the One who establishes this ministry in the Church. In the New Testament, there are several translations of the Greek word referring to Apostles. One such translation is APOSTOLOS, meaning "a delegate; one sent with power of attorney to act for another." An Apostle is a Divine Delegate … One who has come to the people of the world, representing the Trinity in heaven.

The Apostle does not act in his/her own behalf; but is appointed by the Holy Spirit to act in behalf of the Body of Christ, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, an Apostle is one delegated with the power of attorney to act in behalf of the Lord Jesus Christ, sent by the power of the Holy Spirit to you. The word APOSTOLOS is also translated as "messenger" twice in the New Testament, in 2 Corinthians 8:23 and in Philippians 2:25.

As children of God, when an Apostle comes into our midst, we are to receive him/her as a gift of the Holy Ghost to us as a person. That person did not become an Apostle by studying or working hard; Apostleship does not come that way. Apostles are made by God. Apostles are born through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Individuals with an Apostolic calling have the ability, authority and anointing to raise up churches and establish them, but they also have the power and ability to pastor the members of the churches. They can also teach, train, and develop leaders who will be effective in discipling others. Of course, we understand that Jesus Christ was an Apostle. The Office of the Apostle involves the total ministry of God, and Christ had a total ministry. He was perhaps the only full-fledged complete Apostle the world has ever known … delegated, as He often said, to do.

As one appointed to the Office of Apostle by the Holy Spirit, I wholeheartedly embrace the example placed before me by Jesus Christ, as well as the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit … My Teacher.

JSWM Devotional 7.1.08

"Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, "Don't quarrel on the way!" [Genesis 45 : 24]

Blessed day to all!

As I was reading this morning, this scripture stuck out quite a bit. As Joseph sent his brothers to gather their father and families, Joseph urged his brothers "Don't quarrel on the way!". I thought ,"Now why is that?"

Of course the logic of man would say simply they are family and should not argue. We as the children of God know we shouldn't argue, nothing good comes from arguing. But we also know there is deeper meaning than what pertains to the natural state of man. Ready to dig down? Let's go!

Attack of the Overflow

We all are attacked. It is however, to block our blessings. Simply a choice of whether we operate by the spirit or the flesh. Let's see if you can relate easily. Often when I receive blessings from God, I experience demonic opposition. But it's the overflowing blessings ,that are immediately attacked upon their release.

The last thing satan wants is an overflow. Why? Satan knows what each person purposes to do with the overflow that's released. Satan knows who God's true servants are. With every purpose fulfilled with an overflow from God, the great reach made to the lost and oppressed. The greater presence of God in the earth.

Now you might be wondering how can the presence of God fill the earth more through blessing others. Well, is not the Lord our banner? Are we not God's representatives in the earth? Who's light is to shine through us that others may be enlightened and know God is real?

Ever wondered why you received a blessing and everything else began to appear to fall apart? Ah yes. Satan wanted to confound you. Satan wanted you to block or cut off your own blessings. How? By reacting and walking according to the flesh. You see it's the flesh that wants to glory. It's the flesh that loves pride. It's the flesh that says, "I did that" and "I am strong".

Truly, think it over. When you received that long awaited blessing, did someone sneer at you? Talk down to you to the point you felt that flesh rising up to speak? Did someone oppose you verbally, daring you to speak, but only for the sake of poisonous words and not to speak life? Did someone stat egging you on…"I know you not going to take that!"

Don't look at the people in the their carnal form. Look at them with spiritual eyes. See things as they truly are for deception from satan is on a great scale, large in magnitude.

God just blessed you again. Will you block it or allow it to flow?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL 04.01.08 - From the desk of Apostle.T

Forgiveness:

A lot has been asked lately about forgiveness. I too have struggled with this issue. So lets cover a few points on a very broad issue. I'll share with you as well my findings when seeking the Lord on this matter.

We've talked about the heart of a person being a key to a relationship with God. This issue as well will lead back to our heart. Lets start with the basics.

Matthew 6:14-15 (New King James Version)

14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

That's pretty straight forward. I've been struggling with this issue. There are people in my life I am angry with. I don't want to forgive them. That's a satanic stronghold. The enemy doesn't want us to move on. Forgiveness isn't condoning what someone's done to you.

Forgiveness is giving the situation to God so you can heal.

If you carry anger, resentment, etc (unforgiveness) in your heart, the wrong that's been done to you is done over and over again.
Once you say, "I forgive this person for the act committed against me and I put the accountability in God's hands." You can begin to heal.
Before you forgive, you think of that person and how they've hurt you.
Afterwards, you think of yourself and how to move on.
It's taking the focus off of them and the terrible act and putting it back on you and moving forward.

All that being said why was I still struggling. This was revealed to me. What if the person you haven't really forgiven is yourself! This can really keep you down. My friends, we have to remember God forgives us. So we too must forgive ourselves.

The first step for me wasn't forgiving others for things done to me. It was forgiving myself for things I've done. It was then and only then I could begin to move forward. I've done terrible things…. It was a sad day for satan when I was saved. He lost a good man. Praise God though, Greater is HE who is in me than he who is in the world. I am a new creature in Christ. He forgot my sins, why did I continue to hang on. My friends once we break that bondage we can truly start to heal. Maybe for some of you this isn't the case. However I know for some it is. Don't let satan steal your joy. Forgive yourself then we begin to heal. I believe this is the first step in setting your heart right and to begin the healing process.

Father in the Mighty Name of Jesus, I come to you, just as I am with a heart of repentance, forgive me Father for I have sinned. I pray that every spirits of anger, hurt, resentment, rejection, depression and unforgiveness be bound from my life. Lord Jesus I invite you into my life, I know that you came to heal me help me to forgive so that I may be healed from the crown of my head to the souls of my feet. Give me the courage and the humility to deal with the consequences of my previous actions so that those who have a grievance against me can also forgive me. I give you thanks for a new beginning and the power to walk in my new beginnings in Jesus Name I pray. Amen
