Uhm, so its been a while since I"ve blogged so I thought I would put up a few words for those who may read. I mostly just wanted to let all my friends know that I do think about you, wether in the good ol' KY or SC, or in states more northern of that and even those way across the Atlantic. I know we may not all be the closest friends but I thank God every day for having the opportunity to have our lives crossed when they have. I have broadened my perspective by meeting and enjoying your company.
I am continuously trying to improve myself because there are qualities in all of you that I know if I can adapt that will make me that much better at my job and life in general.
But on to something different. I miss my husband! We never seem to have enough time for just relaxing together. Two years of physical separation sucked, even though we sort of chose it. I just for some crazy reason thought that when we both got back to Charleston we might get to spend some real time together. None the less, he is gone again, this is not the first time since post deployment and I already know it will not be the last. I just wanted to let him know that I am always thinking about him and how much I miss him always. And I love you even more than the first day we fell in love. Can't wait till you get home and we can do normal husband and wife things like yard work together. It really does suck alternating between being the "woman" of the house vs. the female "man" of the house.
In conclusion...you all rock! Yeah, you rock, if for no other reason than I said so! Miss my friends and my best friend. And we all know how much I like to have random people around to torcher with my bad jokes.

Uhm, I just watched one of the best movies I've ever seen. It came out on DVD on Tuesday and I really hadn't heard much about it before I seen the commercials. Being a Christian and having a wonderful husband I felt as if I would enjoy watching it. The movie is called FireProof, (starring Kirk Cameron.) Sometimes we all need reminders of the better person that we are able to be and this movie helped me to do just that. Even if you aren't religious, this movie is just plain wonderful. I have to admit, that it made me cry, Several Times, and then it made me wonderfully happy. Watch it or not, but know God loves you, each and every one of you. And so do I.

So I've been in Charleston for quite some time now and I've been searching for a church to call my home without sucess. At least that is until this morning. I went to church on campus at CSU, the Lightsey chapel, where one of my professors from my summer classes there is pastor. Jon Davis. Having had such a wonderful time in his class and feeling so much more informed on my life as a Christian I wanted to see him in action. It was well worth the time. I have to admit that when I first walked in I was skeptical, our church from home is VERY traditional and there was a church band playing on stage when I walked to my seat. Feeling open, I sat my things down and listened to the beat and read along with the words, just trying to get a feel of the surroundings. But then I think I notice someone on stage that I recognize, it's Jon Davis, the pastor, playing a guitar! I loved it. I actually ended up  loving the whole sermon, which was a great truth for many and the whole experience. Not our traditional church, but a church that teaches the word of GOD in an exhilarating way! I would love to invite all of my friends to come to church, there is plenty of room and always smiling faces to welcome you. I know I will be making this my home church for as long as I'm in Charleston if it's GODs will.

Lisa tagged me so I wrote the blog. Sue me, but it could enlighten you about your friends right?

The rules are: Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird random things, facts, or habits about yourself. At the end, you chose 10 people to be tagged, list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" on their profile and tell them to read your latest blog

1.) I hate getting up before 7am. Unless I've stayed up all night and just extened the last day, then I'm usually much fun.

2.) My clothes have to match or coordinate with the color of hanger they are on, also they are categorized by how often it's appropriate to wear them.

3.) I am the world's most obsessive competitior. If you're doing it, I want you to know I can too, and perhaps even better!

4.) When my husband is gone I leave his side of the bed open. ( I stack things on his side of the bed or I don't sleep in it at all while he's gone.)

5.) I hate boogers, and I'm not afraid to tell you if you have one.

6.) I hate talking on the telephone.

7.) I collect medieval swords. (yes, I have used them)

8.) I used to hate being an Air Force spouse, but now, I wouldn't have it any other way!

9.) I often spell pet names the way I feel, not the way OTHERS see fit.

10.) I can't leave a wound alone, I pick at everything.

So I'm having a hard time thinking of staying with Cingular cell phone service. (Or AT&T as they are now called.) I have had them since 2000 personally and really  have had no problems to think of. But my husband who has only been with them personally for a little over a year is already being persecuted by them.

He does a lot of training in places other than SC. Recently he was in OK for about two months or a little more and of course took his phone with him. Apparently the Cingular nationwide plan doesn't include Altus, OK. And here's why:

Because for the time he was in Altus all of the calls he made was from a shared network, not a Cingular specific tower. (Something a general person would never know!) Because more than 50% of his calls made for two consecutive months of billing were not on a Cingular network he is getting kicked off permanently.

Now if he chooses to stay with them, anytime his phone wonders off of a Cingular tower and onto another providers network he will not be able to use his phone. At all! It will simply disconnect. This isn't a temporary thing either, and not just on this account. Even if he cancels this one and gets a new one through them, it will always be monitored in the same manner, indefinately.

They gave him two options: 1.) Take his number to a new provider without any charges for early termination. Or 2.) Cancel all his services with Cingular with no early termination fees. That's it, that's all we can do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she was very rude and was all like, "It's not our fault he used someone else's network." I asked if they didn't realize that MOST military will do the same thing and was told that of the 1% of the time this happens it is military it happens to. (Imagine that!) Then I asked her if there was anything being done to accomidate those military members so that this would not happen in the future to others and her response? "The number of customers that are military are so insignificant that there is no way we would make a special plan for them." Being overly frustrated at this point I asked to speak to her supervisor for lack of anything nice to say to her anymore and was promptly refused. Absolutely and positively could not get to speak to anyone above her. I called back a couple of hours later and a day later and it must be in the notes when they pull up his account number to not go above the Team manager position, which was her title.

I  am determined to find a way around that and to make sure the entire company knows this is a problem and it should be working on a solution rather than kicking people out of their network. I mean really it's forcing us to go to the competition, which will hurt them hopefully in return. Still though, it's inconvienient. and disrespectful of the US Military in general. Or at least in my opinion.

So here is my delemma, of course we will be cancelling Shawn's phone account. But I still have them and my contract is not up until February. Should I add a family plan to my current one and get him a phone that way? Or should we just use the one phone for now and cancel them all together after my contract is up? I don't know much about the other providers service or rate plans personally. Like I've said before, I have been with Cingular for seven years now.

If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to leave some. And most definately DO NOT USE CINGULAR/AT&T!
