The Visibles out today!!

hey guys. for those of you still visiting me here, The Visibles, my new novel, is out today! So go find it at bookstores. It's a standalone book and a bit of a departure from PLL, but I think you'll really enjoy it!!

SO EXCITING!

And no, for once I don't mean a new Pretty Little Liars book, although there's going to be one out Nov. 25. I mean the election! PRESIDENT OBAMA! Yay! I volunteered for the campaign, but not as much as many, many others. So thanks to all of you who did way more than me! And thanks to all who voted, whoever you voted for! It's so great that so many people cared!!

In other news, please visit me over at Facebook. I find MySpace intolerable, and have a really hard time answering emails on this account because the site always crashes on me. Not only do I have a Facebook page, but the PLL characters do, too! Here's where you can find us:

What is WRONG with me?


Hey guys! I'm so sorry I've been away! But I have good reasons why:

1. I moved back to the east coast! We are now living in Pennsylvania...near the mythical Rosewood! (Btw, Rosewood isn't real. I made it up. But Main Line Pennsylvania is, and that's where I am. It's so nice to be around old farmhouses and horses and TREES!)

2. I was finishing revisions on WICKED, the fifth book in the series. Hooray!

3. I am finishing revisions on THE VISIBLES, my adult book.

4. It's summer, which has made me a little lazy.

Needless to say, I'll be posting more soon, and I'll try and respond to ALL of your wonderful messages. In other news, I've noticed that Pretty Little Liars is now available as a Kindle book...if any of you have this fabulous reading device, be sure to pick it up! (I love my Kindle. It's so instantly gratifying to buy a book while waiting in line at the airport, or at the grocery store, etc. etc. etc.)

Spencer and Melissa are ducks!      


Hello again! So I wanted to share a few interesting PLL-themed YouTube videos out there in the world. You guys have been busy!!!

First, check out this one by jisel34: She dramatizes Spencer stealing her sister's Econ paper!!

And then xojilliebean has cast the entire series (and did a great job, too!) here at My Pretty Little Liars Cast

If you've seen a good PLL YouTube (or maybe you made one yourself!) send it along!

And also, those of you who have written me asking questions, etc., I want to respond to you but sometimes your MySpaces are set to private! So maybe you could give me a hint with your last names or something. I swear it's really me! I'm trying to think of some important detail to prove it...I'm 5'8" tall. Er, I didn't do well at fractions in 5th grade. I made a claymation movie with my sister of Bluebird and Parakeet, which you can find on YouTube too under the username squilly12. (There are also a bunch of videos of my dogs being idiots.)

Oh! And one more thing! I got the French translations of PLL today...here's the cover! (It looks sort of familiar...except it's in French. Les Menteuses! The Liars! Isn't everything better in French?)

Thank you so much!


Hey guys! I gotta say, I hate MySpace. I wrote a whole blog post, hit "Preview & Post," and up came that ubiquitous message, "Sorry! An error has occurred!" I bet they're not sorry, though. And then it tells me an email is being forwarded to the MySpace IT team or whatever. What do you want to bet the MySpace IT team is a single monkey sitting at a desk, nibbling on cheese curls?

Okay, that's my MySpace rant du jour.

The truth is, though I'm not on MySpace everyday (because these things happen to me all the time, it seems) I LOVE the letters you've been sending, I LOVE that so many of you went out and bought Unbelievable as soon as it was released, and I love that so many of you enjoyed it. So please, keep writing, I'm a little slow at responding but I'll try to get to everyone! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for loving the series as much as I do! Thanks to you faithful readers, Unbelievable made it to 4 on the NY Times series bestseller list! Hooray!

Now, in some other news:

1. Book Chic is giving away two signed copies of Unbelievable. If you haven't gotten your hands on it yet, check out the site here

2. I'm doing the Decatur Book Festival (which is just outside Atlanta) at the end of August. The festival sounds really great-- a lot of authors are coming and giving talks/ signing books, and apparently there's a Harry Potter cover band! (Not that I'm exactly sure what that might entail. I don't know if they dress like Harry Potter characters, or if they sing about the books. Either way, though, it'll definitely be interesting...)

3. My husband and I are moving back to Pennsylvania (near the fabled Rosewood, which truly doesn't exist, but is sort of an amalgam of the area where I grew up) in 2 1/2 weeks! Meaning plenty more book events on the east coast for all you that live out that way!

4. And don't forget about PLL 5, WICKED, which should be out this December. I just finished a draft, and I think you'll be pleased! Btw, it's a continuation of this series, with the same characters, same situation, etc. It's just...everything gets a whole lot...darker.

::cue evil laugh. and owl hooting. and hands scraping down a chalkboard. and other scary-type things.::

Oops...


Eep! Apparently the Book Chic giveaway is already over! But don't worry, HarperCollins will be giving away THE ENTIRE SERIES in July...details are probably up on the Harper site. (I'll post a link here when I find it.)

But yes, WICKED is really out in December! Hooray!

I'm not dead...

Hi PLL fans! I know many of you have got your hands on Unbelievable and have LOTS OF QUESTIONS for me. I just want you all to know that I'm not ignoring your emails-- I'm in a wedding this weekend and not around a computer much. But don't worry, I'll be back on Monday and I'll try to get back to each and every one of you!!

THE WAIT IS OVER!   


Thank you all for be so, SO patient for Unbelievable's release. Today is the official day it's out, although I know some of you lucky people have found it at your local bookstores a little early!

Those who have already read it have emailed me with questions, and keep 'em coming! However, if you post a comment to the blog or in my general comments section giving away any secrets, I'm going to have to delete it. No offense to anyone's lovely comments, of course...I just don't want to give anything away!

Enjoy! And I can't wait to hear what you think! And remember, there are FOUR MORE BOOKS after this one!

calling all PLL fan myspaces!


So Unbelievable is fast approaching! (It's out May 27, for those of you who have gotten conflicting dates.) In the mean time, two things: can those of you who have PLL fansites on MySpace or Facebook (or anywhere else) post here, so I can send you a separate email? I want to ask a favor about Unbelievable.

And for the rest of you...I want to hear what you're MOST anticipating in this next installment of PLL. To find out if Hanna is dead or alive? To know if Spencer is crazy? To see if Emily really goes to Iowa? To see what happens next between Aria and Ezra? TO KNOW WHO A IS?
