I was listening to JC songs on MySpace and realize that they were from the "demo" phase.

So I am uploading the final versions (from the KTHB 1.0, I have plans to make another mix from the album in the near future)

------------

Então estou enviando as versões finais (do KTHB 1.0. Ainda tenho planos de fazer outro mix do álbum futuramente)

I've been for the last 15 years trying to put a band together to play some stuff. You wanna know? I gave up! I quit! No more live bands in my life!

I've been talking to some friends about to move forward as a live DJ esque, almost like Prodigy did in the end of the nineties. No live band. Just me, a Macbook, my keyboard, maybe my guitar and a microphone.

There are a lot of problems when you need to deal with people. Their problems become your problem. It's not good at all.

So I decided: fuck the live band! Let me do it by myself. Period.

Ponto final.

As the days go by I end up more anxious about seeing everything ready, all the songs and the band ready to be onstage, playing some concerts.

We had talked and played a lot lately, working things right. Yesterday I took the afternoon working on Ableton Live in my laptop, programming some little things to present you live, as a surprise. Nothing that different, no. We are keeping the same tempo on the songs, a new cover (we don't have plans to play That's the Way live, it was recorded in a wave of happiness when we were close to finishing the record), we may play the new cover in about 2 or 3 rehearsals.

Have you heard Celldweller's Wish Upon a Blackstar? In case you didn't, this is my advice. :)

Klayton is one of the few musicians that are still an inspiration, pure and simple. Another band that is making me spend some hours with the headphones on is U2, mainly after seeing pictures of the new tour's stage. I will be there this time!

Kill the Human Being is almost done. Talking to some interesting people who helped me in the long process of composing and recording this album, I can clearly see that we are approaching the thin line of the "ok, I'm done with it, let's release this thing."

A few songs were submitted for licensing through YouLicense http://www.youlicense.com/Artist/JimiCrowley. The awesome cover art made by Pandashi http://www.artofpandashi.com will finally be printed. I think that's it.

The live band will count with my old pal Raphael, the best bass player in the world, who I had the pleasure to play with on two of my past bands. The drummer will be announced very soon. So, this is the time to hit the road, rehearsal and show the world that Jimi Crowley is ready to blow up minds and, mainly, make people think and act.

Our work is almost done. We have closed the tracklisting and we are mixing the songs and starting to think about the album's pre-sale (CD and digital). I'm a little off from the web because of the whole amount of things we need to take care of.

We finally have the final cover art, which is a little different from the previous you have seen here. Now here is what we will offer in a couple of months:

The final cover art

Kill the Human Being:
1. Intro (Human Test I)
2. Human Test II
3. We Are Not Special
4. Fearometer
5. Love
6. Change
7. Hope
8. Stay
9. That's the Way (I Like It)

The Book of Revelations:
10. Death Delayed
11. No Reason
12. Chasing
13. 13
14. Disturbing
15. Period

16. a bonus track

This is everything for now.

Thanks!

Yesterday we had the first rehearsal for the live part of Kill the Human Being. It was a surprise for me and for Fernanda, who was there too.

After being involved for more than 10 years with bands, this is the first time I see a guy playing the drums with full-force energy. It was a really nice surprise. Shame on me that we don't have pictures or videos from the studio. I though it was not going to be that good, so we didn't landed with camcorders or whatever. Even the rehearsal was not recorded on CD, as we regular do.

Beside that, I'm involved on creating songs for Janice Doll's stage. I'm working on 3 songs that will be used between songs during their concert. As well I need material to finish my own record, those songs will be availabe in the instrumental part of KtHB.

Another point I think it's good to share is that we are in the proccess of changing the cover art due to some problems that are beyond my control. In the music business the "my way or the highway" expression is very valid and has been listened for more and more musicians since the business world has been created.

I just want to be clear that I'm not complaining about anything. I've asked for many people about the impact of the illustration. People that I trust. I can't become a stubborn on this step. I'm just trying to do things in the right way.

I promise: the excelent drawing made by Pandashi will be in the booklet, that is almost done.

Chris

PS: We've added Love to the MySpace playlist.
