The writers of "Millie and Feeb"
Jennifer Sally Meyer
Delora Argiro OBrien

BIO FOR SALLY
Jennifer Meyer was born  in the heart of Staffordshire, England.. She was raised by a single mother, and at the age of fifteen graduated secondary school, and went into the work force to help ease the strain on the family budget.. As a child  she escaped into the fascinating world of fine literature. She could be found curled up with a good book, whenever time permitted.  Her love of reading, is surpassed only by her desire to write and create.  She made up many little stories as a child, and loved the satisfaction she felt, when creating her own worlds.

Growing up in England, Jennifer learned to enjoy the simpler, slower side of life. Her English heritage is most important to her, and she treasures the memories of visiting the homes of William Shakespeare and the Bronte sisters on the Yorkshire Moors.  Her favorite author is Charlotte Bronte.

At the age of 23, she emigrated to Utah, where she married and raised eight children and two husbands.  When her eighth child was diagnosed with autism, she turned to her favorite means of escape, her pen and paper/keyboard. She wrote many poems about how she felt about raising a son who was disabled. Then going a step further she created a year long journal, documenting a year in his life. Jennifer's poetry has been published in magazines, books and many websites.

At the ripe young age of fifty, Jennifer turned her hand to writing screenplays. The feeling of creativity associated with it, ignited her soul. She has since completed three full length screenplays, of which her third is Millie and Feeb, a collaborative effort with Delora OBrien.  She recently wrote a television series which is currently in pre-production. Her first two screenplays are also being considered for production.

Jennifer loves life, family, friends and dogs. As her children grow and marry, and move away. Jennifer intends to share her future with her beloved husband, family and friends. To spend her golden years being golden, and enjoy all the great blessings that life has to offer.  Her lifelong dream is to write a classic novel, which will stand the test of time.  She will do it, she has no excuse not to.

BIO FOR DELORA
Delora Argiro OBrien was born after WWII, but before the Vietnam War, to two Italian immigrants, at home, and through much anguish of her mother, which did not end until her late teens.    And yes, humor was the staple of her upbringing.

Growing up in Agawam, Massachusetts around cartoon-like family members, she was provoked to develop imagination and creativity which, during her adolescent years, was many times used as a means of escape.  She would beg her mother and older siblings to read her bedtime stories, visualizing in her mind's eye, how each character would look and how the story would play out.  This thirst for creative expression continued through high school and Delora wrote for her school newspaper as well as becoming a youth reporter for the town's local rag sheet, covering teen events in the local area.

Delora attended Springfield College as well as Westfield State College initially majoring in Liberal Arts, then changing to English as she got involved with the school newspaper and began writing short stories and plays.  Many of them won awards and honorable mention through the town's library and division of higher education.

After college, Delora married, and time was now spent reading stories to her own 4 children, which to this day, is still a warm part of so many precious memories.   During that time, she also worked with her husband at their Pittsfield, Massachusetts restaurant as Public Relations/Media Director.  She wrote many  articles and press releases for the many outreaches that the corporation held as well as being involved in the town government (running for Town Councilman) and being a counselor for Teen Advantage, a grassroots group who helped teens fight through fears and depression.

After moving to New York with her family in 1985, Delora worked for Upper Room Ministries as a theatrical Producer/Director.  She wrote 10 original plays which she produced and directed and were viewed by well over 100,000 people during her 20 years in that capacity.   Her work was reviewed and celebrated by the New York Times, New York Daily News, Long Island Publisher, and many more newspapers and local and citywide magazines.   It was during this time, after watching "Mr. Holland's Opus" that she felt moved to begin writing for film.  In the past five years, she has written 4 screenplays, the last being  "Millie and Feeb" which was a collaborative effort.   This work is the essence of what Delora believes filmmaking should embody:  it touches the mind, pierces the heart, puts laughter on your lips and in that 90 minute slice of life, profoundly changes you in a way that is indescribable.

Delora now resides in Los Angeles, allowing for greater opportunities for her writing and directing.  Creating is her life.  She has always said, "If as artists, we cannot create a fascinating world that others can escape into, even if just for 90 minutes, and help improve on life as we know it, then we need to all put down our pencils and just bake bread."  Let's hope, for Delora, the oven is not pre-heating.
