I have to take a moment to make a shout out now and then to the blogs that make up this bloggers internet reading each day. There is one blog that I simply never miss, and it's high time I start sharing the wealth with you my readers.

In today's economy I hear a lot of women saying that they simply "can't afford" to care how they are dressed anymore, and that shopping is a word far removed from their recession vocabulary. It's time like these I am incredibly excited to tell people about Fashion Under $100. This has to be one of my all time favorite blogs: helpful concept, simple and easy to follow execution, and an incredibly talented editor who really knows how to find some incredible low budget pieces.

The concept is simple: readers send in their favorite looks from celebrities (sometimes she chooses looks herself as well), and this fashion maven recreates the look from head to toe for LESS than $100. From casual to red carpet ready, she has a look for every style at a budget we can all afford. And in economic times like these, even those who can afford to splurge a little can appreciate getting 4-5 celebrity looks for less than the price of one.

Do YOU have a favorite blog? Tell me about a fashion/beauty blog that you have in your favorites folder, and if it is featured in an upcoming piece you will receive a free cosmetics gift package from Steph's Beauty Buzz. So leave those comments below to enter!

I received a fantastic email from a loyal reader for this issue of Ask Steph. Melanie writes:

"Dear Steph's Beauty Buzz,

Congrats on your relaunch! I'm so so so so excited you are back. I had a question for the Ask Steph column. I am a total shopaholic, and have a closet jam packed with great basic pieces, super trendy stuff, more shoes and bags than I can count, and accessories galore. But somehow every morning I get up and say the same thing - I have NOTHING to wear!!! I just dont know how to keep my collections organized in any sort of logical way so that I can really see my choices well. Everytime I do laundry I find myself saying, "I totally forgot about this dress!" or "Where was this scarf when I was trying to find something for that jacket last week." Im getting very very frustrated with it all. Any suggestions (OTHER than downsizing, cause really, thats not going to happen :) )"

What a fantastic question Melanie (and for being selected for this edition of Ask Steph I'm going to be sending you a gift basket of mark cosmetics goodies, ON ME!) So what CAN we do to conquer the closet craziness?

Purge Purge Purge

So Melanie was right to assume my main tip would be to purge that closet of items you dont wear. And honestly, it is still the best tip I can give you. Take a Saturday, a close girlfriend, and a bottle of cheap champagne, then throw on your favorite iMix and go through that collection piece by piece. The champagne will help keep you feeling loose, without over thinking any one piece, but the friend will help keep you honest about what really works for you in your current stage of life. A great rule of thumb: if you havent worn it a minimum of 3 times in the last year, consider tossing it. Make a pile for items you would like to donate and a pile for items that should simply be tossed if they are permanently damaged in any way. You can also make a pile for items that can be taken to a drycleaner or tailor to fix any minor issues or stains, to take in or take out the sizing as needed, or even to be repurposed into a more useable piece. I've seen ripped jeans repurposed into fantastic bermuda shorts and a horribly unflattering blouse turned into a lovely vest with the help of the right tailor. You can also consider attending an event like a Clothing Swap, or you can even get your girls together and host one of your own. This way you can turn your closet bench warmers into new favorites for your current style.

Get On a Rotation

Another important way to keep your closet clutter free is to keep 1-2 seasons at time in your closet, and keep the rest in storage. And in today's organization friendly world, there are a plethera of boxes, garment bags, and storage systems to choose from. Make sure to clearly label all your storage boxes, so that you can easily switch from one season to the next when the time comes. A great tip? Place dryer sheets or sachets of lavender into the boxes to keep clothes smelling fresh from the dryer when you open them again months later.

Maximize Your Space

The best closets are not your typical horizontal hanging bar from A-Z. The truly wonderful closets are the ones that maximize both the horizontal and the vertical space to create a variety of storage options for every possible need. Check out your local organization store or even the closet systems aisle at your local home depot for ideas. You want long hanging space to at least one side, for dresses and trenches and such, but most hanging items only need about half the vertical space we give them. So think about using the other space more efficiently by adding shelves, drawers, or even a second bar. Keep in mind in your designs that you will want the items you use most often at eye level, with other accessories or less used pieces ideally stored either above or below.

It's All In the Hangers

Why do celebrity closets and department stores always look so picture perfect? They always always have matching hangers. If you can afford to upgrade, give your closet that department store feel by using only luxurious wooden hangers on all your garments. Even if you cant afford to splurge though, you can make an incredible difference on the overall feel of your wardrobe simply by deciding on one uniform type of hanger to use. It can even be the plastic tube hangers available at your local walmart or target for just a dollar or two a pack. The only type of hanger you should NOT find in your closet are wire hangers, like the type you receive from your drycleaner. These hangers can damage your precious garments, and are bes used for making smores not for hanging clothing. Whatever you choose, just keep it consistent for a clean and streamlined look.

Forget Highschool: Cliques are Good

Your closet should resemble every poorly made movie Hollywood has ever made about high school: there should be a clear clique system evident from the moment you walk in. Start with the type of garment: shirts, pants, dresses, etc and keep similar styles grouped together. Then move into the color: tans together, blues together, and so on and so on. Not only will this save you time in the morning, and help you find matching items faster, but this too will give your closet that department store look and feel. And really, who doesnt want to feel like they've gone to the mall every morning to get dressed? Its your daily shopping fix without every having to spend a dime.

Don't Forget The Details

Finally, fill in the last little spaces of your newly organized closets with the pieces that really complete you: the accessories. Find ways to hang belts and scarves so they are displayed like the beautiful collection they are. Use jewelry organizers in the unused drawer for that "one stop shopping" feel. Line up purses along the shelves like the luxury counter at your favorite department store. You shoe racks and cubby holes to display all your finest footwear without those flimsy boxes. Invest in a good set of matching boxes of different sizes for all your additional storage needs. The beauty really is in the details.

For years the transition into motherhood has often been plagued with pajama pants, dark under eye circles, and the banishment of all cute shoes to the back of the closet. But since the recent baby boom of hollywood, more and more products and trends have hit the market that can make any mama look like the talk of the town. Here are the top 5 common mommy pitfalls that you no longer have an excuse not to avoid.

5) Baggy Sweats, PJ Pants, Overalls, and Oversized Tees as Maternity Wear

Ladies ladies ladies: this is the year 2009! And luckily for us, hollywood has blazed the way for a wonderful new attitude in society: pregnancy is beautiful, natural, and oh so sexy. So instead of hiding your bump under layers of sweats and baggy tops, why not embrace the beautiful curves your new body has developed? Maternity wear has come such a long way since our mothers were having children, and there are stores to fit every budget and style. Make sure to check out Motherhood Maternity to stock up on great basics at an even better price, A Pea in the Pod for maternity wear from all of your favorite brand name designers, the Liz Lange Maternity Line for Target to get fashion forward extras from a well known designer but at those loveable Target prices.

4) Cheezy Diaper Bags with Firetrucks and Clowns

You used to carry the perfect little handbag for every ensemble, but now since you've  had your little one, those patent leather little gems have been pushed aside for vinyl messenger bags covered with disney princesses and dora the explorer. Not anymore! All of your favorite handbag designers, from Coach to Gucci, have all jumped on the diaper bag wagon. And even more affordable diaper bag designers have begun to realize that just because we've become mothers doesnt mean we want to lose our sense of chic. Diaper bags are coming in more varieties than ever, so resist the urge to pick up that Tinkerbell Backpack and look for something that matches your wardrobe more than your child's. Even better idea? Look for totes and large purse styles that you can continue to use long after the diapers and bottles are gone. And with products hitting the market like the PishPosh, you can even convert some of your favorite bags from your current collection into diapers bags in a snap.

3) The Infamous "Mom's Dont Have Time for Makeup" Look

I will admit, before the little one ever arrives you begin to see the amount of hours in your day rapidly begin to shrink. Tasks suddenly have to be reprioritized from a whole new perspective, and "me time" is often the first item shoved to the side. But it can be a huge self esteem hit for a mom who used to enjoy the pampering of her morning beauty routine to simply jump from runway ready to shower and go over night. The trick is not to throw your beauty routine entirely out the window, but to find time saving products and techniques that allow you to get out the door faster but still with a fresh face and glowing self image. Two in One products like tinted moisturizers and  combination shampoo/conditioner will become invaluable in your arsenal. And techniques like the Five Minute Face can teach you how to trim steps from your routine and focus on the products that will make the most impact in the shortest time.

2) The "Mom Bob" Hairstyle

Who knows exactly how this trend began, but somehow it became a right of passage that once you had children, you were required to cut your locks into the infamous bob of motherhood. Now sure, having shorter locks is ultra convenient, both in time saved styling it in the morning and in pain saved from the pulls and tugs of little hands. But long gone are the days of the simple hack of the mom bob. Short hair has made a real comeback on the hollywood scene, so make sure you take a look through google images at some of the gorgeous celebs who have chosen to shorten their longer tresses without losing an ounce of style. Bringing some pictures with you to your stylist is always recommended before considering any drastic changes to your current do.

1) Beautiful Shoe Banishment

I have a personal theory that half of the sales of the ridiculous so-called "shoes" known as crocs are to pregnant women and young moms. Far too often the transition into motherhood means moving all your pumps and heels to the back of the closet to give the prime real estate to the slippers, sneakers, and yes, even the uggs. No more ladies! Shoe makers have heard the desperate cries of women everywhere, pregnant or not, and have begun to develop fashionable shoes that refuse to throw the comfort out with the bathwater. Be brave: hit up your local shoe haven and try some on. You may be surprised just how comfortable those sassy heels can be. And dont forget to invest in fabulous must haves like Foot Petals and Dr. Scholls for Her foot care products to make even those not-so-comfortable favorites finally wearable again.

Hello loyal readers of Steph's Beauty Buzz! Boy, have I missed you guys....

So much has happened since I had to take my leave, including the little boy in my belly (due on August 8th)  who is kicking away at my laptop as I write this. But have no fear my fabulous fashionistas: just because I'm a mama now doesn't mean I can't still be the savvy and chic editor you've come to know and love. And thanks to the Hollywood baby boom, it's now easier than ever for moms like me to stay fashionably dressed, look glowing and well rested, and be chic and pulled together in as little time as possible. Here are just some of my favorite buys for the new mom.

Avon's Beyond Color Radiant Lifting Concealer - $7.00

There is good reason this product won a Self Magazine Health and Beauty Award: visible results you can see from the first time you use it. Lack of sleep is a common concern for the new mom, and it can really do a number on your under eyes. And yes, there are hundreds of products on the market for lines, dark circles, and puffiness, but this was the first I had found that had the convenience of combining all these features into one time saving step. It's light-diffusing pigments soften the appearance of undereye circles and wrinkles, while the hydrating complex, containing vitamins A, C, E and beta carotene, soothes the undereye area while conditioning and moisturizing the skin. The formula was easy to apply, and long lasting, so there was no need to find time to reapply in my busy schedule.

Clairol Nice'nEasy Root Touch-Up - $6.99

This winner of countless magazine top honors is a true must have for any new mom, or any woman with a busy schedule and colored hair. Sure, we love out favorite salon guru, but sometimes we simply don't have the time to carve out 90 minutes into our schedule for every touch up when our roots begin to show. While I'm usually the last person to advocate home coloring products, this one is different. You can still schedule those colorings with your favorite expert, but you can space them a little further apart now without those pesky peek-a-boo roots to worry about. The system is incredibly simple to use, and works in a very quick 10 minutes.

Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray - $11 for the convenient purse size

This dry shampoo spray is the ultimate time saver, and this spray version is so much simpler to use than the usual powder varieties. It refreshes, revives, and rejuvenates the hair in a matter of minutes—no water or blow-dryer required. It thoroughly and effectively soaks up oil, removes product buildup, and boosts volume. Hair looks, feels, and smells freshly shampooed without the shower, which is a real life saver for any new mom on a new baby's schedule.

Conair Professional Ceramic Wet-Dry Straightener - $24.99

For those of us who  straighten our hair regularly, you know how much of your morning routine is spent between the hairdryer, the products, and then finally the straightener. The new variety of wet-dry straighteners hitting the market take the hairdryer out of the equation completely, shortening your morning routine without damaging your precious locks.  The curved plates allow you choose to straighten or finish with a kicky little flipped out look, in one step. And with a 30 second heat up time, you aren't stuck wasting any time waiting and can be out the door in the minimum time.

Avon Nail Experts Liquid Freeze Quick Dry Spray - $6.00

Trying to squeeze in a quickie self manicure while you're little one is napping? You may have gotten the speed painting down to an art, but until lately, the drying has been a no speed zone. Any manicurist will tell you the dangers of using your hands before you're given those nails at least 20 minutes to dry. So what's a mama with a newly awakened infant to do? Thats where this miracle product comes in: just spray newly painted nails, and they are freeze dried within 30 seconds, preventing all smudges and nicks.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - $15 for the convenient purse size

Part toner and part serum, this mist of essential oils and plant ingredients smooths the skin, tightens pores, and provides your makeup with a quick mid day pick me up. Best of all? Now that you've identified your bridal style, and maybe even chosen a gown for the big day, you can use your style type to help you plan other big details as well. Next up on our list: gorgeous hair to match your gorgeous gown. Todays brides have more options than ever when it comes to the hair. Hair Up? Hair Down? Half and half? And then of course, there are the accessories. Veil? No Veil? Tiara? Flowers? It can all seem very overwhelming, but have fun with it! Here again are the six bridal types, and some great ideas to get you started.

CLASSIC AND TRADITIONAL

Try channeling some of your vintage inspirations and wear a bit of netting like this cage veil. You'll end up with a classic look thats Jackie-O chic.

Easy and elegant, a classic updo can last all night. In this photo the hair is parted from ear to ear; the back section is lifted, given a twist and secured against head. Back-combed front pieces are smoothed away from forehead, then bobby-pinned, disguising the twisted section, while hair ornaments create the gentle chignon.

Never the overdramatic, a classic bride often chooses to keep it simple, like in this photo. The headband adds an adorable touch without taking away from the clean lines and simple chic.

ROMANTIC FAIRYTALE BRIDE

For a look thats sophisticated and romantic, try a loose updo of gentle curls. In this photo, already-curled locks get the royal treatment, with layer upon layer of hairspray and generous finger-plumping. Several crucially placed pins elevate the mass of loose hair, lifting it off the neck.

Rapunzel Rapunzel, let down thy hair! You've spent months growing out your hair for this day, so show off your beautiful mane in all its glory. Try a deep side part to accentuate a forehead-sweeping wave with loose curls grazing your shoulders.

Of course what fairy tale wedding would be complete without a crown for our princess. Prince Charming will be beaming when you meet him down the aisle in a simple upswept do complete with a sparkling tiara. If you opt for a veil, slide a comb gently into the underside of the bun.

GLAMOROUS AND DRAMATIC

Feathers are the accessory to say that this bride is not one to fade into the background. Glamourous and dramatic, feather touches will ensure that all eyes are on you, and will keep the conversation rolling and the complements coming.

Nothing says glamour like Old Hollywood style. Waves cascading from a side part recall the sultry beauty of silver-screen legend Rita Hayworth. Use a wide-barrel curling iron to recreate this red hot look.

Try stealing this red carpet look. Revamp and reinterpret the vintage beehive by teasing hair into a scaled-down shape that's surprisingly chic. A glamorous twist on an old classic.

TRENDY AND MODERN

Use your walk down the aisle to showcase your personal runway walk. Forget rules and tradition and embrace the trends walking the runways in Paris and Milan. In this photo an off-center ponytail is pulled halfway through an elastic band; a section of hair is then wrapped around it, forming a knot.

Try an edgy updo with a touch of bedhead chic. Whether your dress is casual or formal, this simple ultra sexy do will keep the focus on your dramatic gown while completing your edgy and modern wedding day style.

Embrace the unexpected and really give them something to talk about. This do is a little bit vintage, a little bit quirky, a little bit deconstructed, and all modern chic. Long locks are critical for this style, so unless you're lucky enough to have the length, invest in a hair piece. To recreate this look, pull day old hair (clean hair will be too slick and will come undone quickly) with no product added into a low ponytail and braid it haphazardly, without securing flyaways. Then, wrap the braid around your head, and using a clear elastic anchored with bobby pins, secure the end where the ponytail began. Flair out the ends for soft fringe.

BOHEMIAN DREAM

Your wedding day do is the perfect place to embrace that bohemian style. If your dress is simple and ethereal, add a natural flare by adding greenery and blooms to flowing natural curls. Just channel your inner woodland nymph or and your guests will swear you're a modern day fairy queen.

Glittery moonstone hair jewels add dash of interest to romantic curls. Keep this do messy and loose to showcase your natural bohemian flare. The key is to look carefree, not overly contrived and hairsprayed into place.

Going for an eco-friendly all green wedding? Then carry that theme will this nature inspired style. Keep the products to a minimum and add dainty blooms to long carefree locks to create this floral look.

BREEZY, BEACHY, AND CHILL

The key to the beachy bride is to keep the products minimal, embrace sea blown waves, and skip the diamonds and pearls for nature inspired touches instead. Use a sea salt spray to create "fresh from an ocean swim" waves like the ones above. Want a mermaid worthy crown? Create one from a headband and shells you can purchase from your local craft supply store.

If you're worried about ocean breezes blowing your hair into your face, then opt for tumbling, loosely braided curls like the look above. Don't feel the urge to hairspray every curl into place: keep it natural, free, and uncontrived,

Pretty plumeria blooms tucked into romantic curls are perfect for an outdoor wedding, particularly on the beach. A simple style like the one above is a favorite for many the destination bride.

Once you have found that perfect engagement ring, you're going to be swamped with planning all sorts of details for your big day. Big wedding? Small wedding? In a church? On a beach? There are plenty of questions to answer and details to sort out, but one decision more than any other will set the tone for your big day: the dress. Often picturing yourself in your dream wedding dress helps decipher the tone for the whole evening. Big and lacy? You may want a formal day. Simple and breezy? Maybe a beach wedding is more your style. Here are 6 different bridal styles to consider when choosing your gown. Leave a comment below and let us know, which one are you?

CLASSIC AND TRADITIONAL

The classic bride is easy to spot. She takes her cues from Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Her wedding fashion is tasteful, traditional, and always timeless. When choosing a gown, choose clean, simple lines and delicate details. An A-line or sheath silhouette with a portrait, bateau or jeweled neckline lends an understated elegance. Shy away from over-the-top fabrics and flourishes. Consider a delicate and touching accessory, like your grandmothers pearls.

Designers You Love: Carolina Herrera, Priscilla of Boston, Amsale, Anne Barge, Alvina Valenta, Peter Langner

ROMANTIC FAIRYTALE BRIDE

Ah, the romantic. You've spent a lifetime dreaming of your prince, the castle, the fairy-tale ending, and you deserve a dress fit for a happily ever after. Go ahead, choose that Cinderella ball gown or a dress with layer upon layer of lace. Think reams of ruffles, billowy tulle, brocade fabric, basque waists, Edwardian necklines, perhaps a corset. Plus lots of embellishment—beading, crystals and jewels. It's your big day, dream big!

Designers You Love: Justina McCaffrey, Lazaro, Eve of Milady, Michelle Roth, Claire Pettibone, St. Pucchi, Elizabeth Fillmore

GLAMOROUS AND DRAMATIC

With a style that's sleek, chic and a little bit dramatic, you adore the spotlight and all the glitz it garners. You have never needed the frills and lace of a traditional wedding, but you certainly wont shy away from a day where you get to be in the spotlight. Your aisle is your runway! Look for a dress that complements your slightly sinful personality—shimmery, silvery, metallic fabrics that skim every curve. Extravagant silhouettes like fishtail hemlines and hip-hugging bodices say sexy screen siren. Don't forget the sequins, and if you're really dramatic, the feathers and fur.

Designers You Love: Jenny Packham, Reem Acra

TRENDY AND MODERN

Slightly unconventional and always fashion-forward, you're the gal who's setting the trends—so why should your big day be any different? Who cares about the rules, this is your day! The trendy modern bride is not afraid of color, patterns, or even a cocktail length part dress. She chooses chic body-hugging gowns, metallic hues and sharp, structured silhouettes. Keep an eye out for classic flourishes worn in new ways—an oversized colored bow at the bustle or even at the waist or sleeve.

Designers You Love: Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier

BOHEMIAN DREAM

Always an original and somewhat zen, your look is earthy, pretty, ethereal. Whether artistically arranged or eco-friendly, your big day will a reflection of the uniqueness your friends and groom have come to celebrate. The dress, of course, will be no exception. Think about a wispy Empire-waist gown. Focus on soft layers of fluttery fabrics with delicate details—a pretty ribbon or velvet sash, floral embroidery or a sheer overlay. Avoid overly structured gowns, or excessively opulent fabrics and silhouettes. Make it about YOUR natural beauty, and a dress that lets you shine through.

BREEZY, BEACHY, AND CHILL

You may have a wedding day in mind that is easy, relaxed. Maybe you and your honey are slipping away to a secluded shore to whisper your I Do's without the big to-do. You want to look for a dress that will simply slip on, and bare a little skin for a look that's pure, innocent, sensual. Stick to featherweight fabrics and slightly fluttery silhouettes. A slinky slip dress complements your go-with-the-flow attitude. Look for a strapless neckline or spaghetti straps that show off a sexy but tasteful expanse of skin.

With college graduations complete, the yearly summer phenomenon begins: a spree of summer proposals. But with slews of girls showing of their beautiful new sparklers, it can be difficult to find a ring thats uniquely you. Most newlyweds, especially here in the Silicon Valley CA where an average three bedroom home will cost you 900K and up, are forced to choose a style based more on budget then personal style. Now I know diamonds are a girls best friend and all, but with raised awareness of conflict diamonds and the staggering costs of living in this new economy, more and more women are turning to high quality CZ for their engagement rings. (This Fashion Maven is actually ring shopping with the beau right now, and I have opted to go this direction myself!) With websites like Jewelers Direct, you can pay a few hundred dollars for gold, white gold, or platinum settings, and then add sparklers that could fool any eye. These are not the stones you see at your local Target or Claire's Accessories, these are high quality CZ specifically chosen to rival the quality of real diamonds. Now that's just how this gal likes her jewelry: smart AND Sparkly!

I simply LOVE this 3 Ct Radiant Cut Center With Pave On Either Side, inspired by Britney Spears wedding ring with ex husband Kevin Federline. It's set in 14kt White Gold, and is available here for $498.00. The original ring retailed for approximately $40,000.

Here is another great example of celebrity style made affordable. Remember Paris Hiltons 2.4 Million Dollar 24 Ct monstrosity? This ring has stylishly toned down the her sparkler into a stunning yet classy 3Ct Radiant Cut Center Enhanced By 1 Ct Trillions, available here for $360.00.

If you are looking to purchase a more traditional wedding set, this one is perfect! This 1 Ct. Princess Cut Center With Tapered Baguettes includes the Matching Band. You can purchase this set here for only $295.00. This particular design is also available with other center stones, in both larger sizes and a variety of shapes.

Just because you CAN go bigger with these stunning CZ, doesn't mean you should. Make sure the ring you choose reflects your personal tastes and styles. After all, you'll be wearing this everyday! For those looking for something smaller, I recommend this dainty 3/4 Ct. Round Center Set in a 4 Prong Setting With Pave band. You can purchase it here for $225.00.

I have always loved rings with that unique vintage flair. Rings that look like they could very well be a family heirloom passed down through generations. A great example is this 1.5 Ct. Round Center With Pave Split Band available here for $510.00.

Of course, there is nothing more classic than the basic solitaire. This ring, available in both 1 Ct and 2 Ct designs, is available here. The 1 ct is $280.00 and the 2 ct is $295.00.

Maybe you have already been presented with a beautiful ring by that special someone, and now you are looking for a beautiful wedding band to complete your set. This stunning Pave style wedding band could add a little extra sparkle to any finger. It's available here for $189.00, hardly more than what you'd pay for the plain white gold band.

**One lucky subscriber will win the wedding set (1 Ct. Princess Cut Center With Tapered Baguettes includes the Matching Band.) featured above. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO THIS BLOG AND ARE CURRENTLY ON OUR FRIENDS LIST TO BE CONSIDERED! Then simply leave me a comment on this blog answering these questions:

*What does your dream engagement ring look?
*Would you ever consider going CZ if it really looked just like a diamond?
*Why should you win this fantastic prize?

ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL MIDNIGHT ON JULY 4TH

Ah summer! With an endless array of activities and weather that beckons us out of hibernation and into the great outdoors, who has the time or patience to agonize over hair (aside from your stylist, of course!)? Try these 'no muss, no fuss' tips from elite stylist Adrian De Berardinis of De Berardinis Salon that are guaranteed to simplify any woman's beauty regime while still allowing her to look her best!

Tip 1: For Curly Hair

"The best way to deal with curly hair," says Adrian, "is to embrace it! Curly hair needs less moisture in the summertime because the air is more humid. The trick is to eliminate as much frizz as possible." Cocktail a curling cream like Kerastase Oleo-Curl with drops of a shine serum like John Freida Frizz-Ease liberally to very wet - not damp - hair and distribute evenly throughout, working from root to tip. Then loosen the hair by running your fingers through it. "If curly hair is styled when it's very wet, the integrity of the curl is maintained and curls separate more easily," says Adrian. To enhance curls at the crown and around the face where frizz is prone to form, take small sections and wind each one around a finger and release it. Then, carefully defuse the sections using a diffuser attachment on your blow-dryer on high heat and medium speed until half dry. You can now walk out the door and the warm air will dry the rest.

Tip 2: The Easy Up-Do

Adrian reveals the secret to recreating a salon-perfect up-do: "Don't make it too perfect! The look this season is effortless and easy." First, roughly dry hair that has been primed with a product like a root-lifting Kerastase Volumeactive Spray or a smoothing serum like Kerastase Oleo-Relax. Then, loosely pull back the hair into a ponytail using your fingers. You can make it as smooth or as textured as you wish. Twist the ponytail and wrap it around itself into a bun using 5-8 bobby-pins to secure, depending on thickness of your hair. Lastly, spray the up-do with a light hold hairspray and be prepared for the compliments to roll in.

Tip 3: The Beautiful Blow-out

To get a bouncy blow-out in less time, Adrian recommends applying an anti-frizz serum like Kerastase Oleo-Relax and a styling mousse like Kerastase Mousse Nutri-Sculpt from root to tip to damp hair. Then, flipping your head upside down, use your fingers and a blow-dryer to remove 80% of the moisture. Flipping your head upright, start from the front and move towards the back continuing to dry your hair using a round brush for a smoothing effect. Finish the process with a sealant or shine serum and a light aerosol hairspray.

Tip 4: Tight on Time Tip

Running late? Here's a quick and easy styling technique to take you from day to night. "If you've just jumped out of the shower," explains Adrian, "apply a favorite hair-care product and slick your hair back into a ponytail. Twist the ponytail into a bun, secure it with a few bobby-pins and VOILA! You're out the door!" This will give you a clean, sophisticated look for the day. Then, once your hair is completely dry, you can take it down and loosen it using your fingers to get playful waves. This is the perfect summer style for wherever the evening may take you!
Armed with Adrian's summer hair-care tips, you'll never run late on account of your hair and always be tressed to kill.

It's day three of Summer School, and we move on to that all important summer topic, the sun. Did you know that sun exposure causes more than 90% of skin cancers? Yikes! It's time for an important crash course in sun safety. After all, safety is not an elective it's a vital core class. Here are ten essential steps to getting your sun safety diploma.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT FORMULA
On a daily basis, look for a broad-spectrum sunscreen with both UVA and UVB protection, and minimum SPF of 15. If you are going to the beach or are planning a day outdoors, look for a product with physical blocks too, like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These will create a extra reflective barrier between your skin and the rays.

UNDERSTAND THE NUMBERS
An SPF of 15 gives you 94-95% UVB coverage, while an SPF of 30 only bumps up your level of protection to about 97%. Don't let a high number fool you into a false sense of protection.

EYES AND LIPS CAN BURN TOO!
Don't forget to wear protective lip balm, because you're lips are quite susceptible to sun damage. And if screen bothers your eyes, try looking for an eye cream that already contains an SPF of at least 15.

BE GENTLE WITH YOUR FACE
You may not want to use the same sunscreen on your face as you use on the rest of your body. Make sure you find a sunscreen with moisturizers for dry skin, and an oil free formula if you tend to break out. And always put sunscreen on a bare face, applying any makeup on top.

LEAVE ENOUGH TIME
It's important to pur on your sunscreen 15 to 30 minutes before heading out the door, so that the chemical ingredients have ample time to react with your skin and start working

REAPPLY, REAPPLY, REAPPLY… WELL, YOU GET IT
Apply a second coat of sunscreen after only 20 minutes in the sun, and then every two hours after that. These extra coats can reduce your UV exposure by 15-20%, as compared to using the first coat alone.

FULL COVERAGE IS KEY
It will take about a shot glass of sunscreen to cover you from head to toe. White or even new colored formulas help to ensure you don't miss anything, and then fade away once applied. Apply clear formulas in small, circular motions all over to ensure you don't miss a spot. A spray sunscreen can make it easier to get those hard to reach places

KNOW THE DANGERS
Combining your sunscreen with other products can seem harmless, but bug repellents, body lotions, and even just extra high temperatures can sabotage your sunscreen. And while you may use a water resistant formula on those days in the pool, that doesn't mean you shouldn't reapply after swimming. Besides, just think of all the sunscreen you lose while toweling off

INCREASED SENSITIVITY
You may want to rethink your facial products in the summer. Products with glycolic acids or retinol can make your skin more photosensitive. Try switching to an alternative in the summer.

TAN SAFELY
If you simply can't fight the urge to be bronze, try using a sunscreen with a self-tanner built in. You'll be safe and looked sunned all at the same time.

Even the most knowledgeable beauty maven has the occasional morning mishap, and true to Murphy's law, it's usually the morning you were already running late. What's a busy gal to do? A real beauty maven knows that even the biggest beauty boo-boo has a quick band-aid solution or two to keep their morning running smooth and on schedule. Keep this cheat sheet in your bathroom so you'll always know just what to do!

Boo-Boo: OD'ed on Perfume

Band-Aid: We love the smell of a brand new perfume… until you are stuck in an elevator next to the woman who bathed in it. If you oversprayed the scent directly onto your clothes, then simply evaporate it! Just run a hot hair dryer over the area for 30 seconds to a minute. If you sprayed on skin, then you will have to dissolve some of the fragrances more concentrate oil base. For a quick fix, rub an unscented baby wipe or a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol over the affected area.

Boo-Boo: Flushed with Blush

Band-Aid: The 80's were great and all, but lets not relive the magic of 8th grade by smothering our faces in blush. If you feel like you may have overdone it a bit, fight the urge to get out the makeup remover and start again. Instead, put some translucent face powder onto a makeup sponge and blend it gently on top of the over pigmented area. If the color is still too intense, try going over it again, but this time use a few drops of foundation instead of powder. The trick here is to blend the color IN towards the apples of your cheeks, not OUT towards your ears.

Boo-Boo: Eyebrow Fracture

Band-Aid: Its happened to even the best of us: we get a little happy with those tweezers and before you know it, we have a gap in our brows. To fill in the void, first brush the hairs in the opposite direction of the growth to make the bare spot more visable. Once you have clearly identified the area, use a brow pencil or a product like Benefit's Brow Zings to cover the void with light, hair length strokes. When you are done, brush the brows back into place.

Boo-Boo: Blinded by Highlights

Band-Aid: So you tried to save a few bucks by putting in some at home highlights, but you may have left the dye on a little too long, and now the streaks are so bright you're getting complaints from Air Traffic Control. When it comes to any hair color mishaps, its always best to consult a professional colorist rather than risk doing any more damage to your locks. While you're waiting for the appointment though, wash your hair frequently with a caramel-hued color-depositing shampoo. This will deepen the highlights by adding a richer color.

Boo-Boo: Bruised Polish

Band-Aid: The nice ladies at the nail salon are always recommending you hang out for "five more minutes!" But busy women have places to go, and we're usually shoving our freshly manicured fingers into our wallets so we can pay them and hurry out the door. Its often not until 10 minutes later when we get home that we noticed we've smudged the polish. Just dip the pad of a finger from the opposite hand into nail polish remover and gently blend away the smear. Make sure to add a new coat of clear polish for a smooth finish.

Boo-Boo: Psychotic Self Tanner

Band-Aid: No matter how evenly you tried to apply it, once the color develops, your self tanner application can look more schizophrenic than well planned. Don't have your own nervous breakdown, just get that tanner back in line with a few easy tricks. If you applied too much color in one spot, stroke the area with a lemon wedge. The citric acid in the lemon will work as a natural exfoliant. If you don't have a lemon handy, you can also use a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide. If you have light streaks, even out the color by applying extra self tanner with the edge of a makeup wedge, for added precision. You can also brush on some matte bronzer with a small blush brush.

Boo-Boo: Hairspray Rigor

Band-Aid: Even flexible hold hairspray can make you hair super stiff if you apply enough. Just use a wide-tooth comb on small sections of hair, starting at the ends and working up to the roots. Then rub a dime size amount of hand cream between your hands and run your hands through the over-sprayed spot. This will help take way the crackle by adding more moisture. Make sure to slip over and shake your head afterwards as some hairsprays, especially cheaper ones, will flake once they are broken up.

Boo-Boo: Amputated Bangs

Band-Aid: Bangs are all the rage again, but cutting them yourself can be tricky. If you find yourselves with bangs that are shorter than what you had intended, weigh the hair down by dampening it and adding a little gel, then comb the bangs to one side and secure with one or two bobby pins. You want the bangs to recede into your hairline, not to fall straight form the pin. If your fringe is too skimpy to reach the side, try parting closer to the middle and combing to opposite sides.

Boo-Boo: Clotting Mascara

Band-Aid: Act Fast! Mascara is formulated to dry in seconds, so use your best ER skills on this one. Wipe all the formula off your mascara wand with a paper towel. (You can try it with tissue, but it will usually shed). Now wiggle the empty wand gently from side to side, from the roots to the tips of your lashes. If you are too late, you can still try to revive them! Dip an old mascara wand into some eye makeup remover and try the same trick again on dried lashes.

Boo-Boo:Full Product Trauma

Band-Aid: If you went a little heavy on the hair products, don't worry! Just dust your hands with baby powder, rub them together well, and scrunch the greasy section. Consider investing in some dry shampoo, and use in place of the baby powder.

The school year may have come to a close, but summer school is now in session! There is so much to learn, and this summer is the perfect time to do it. Your first class on the schedule: Shopping 101. Think you're a shopping expert? Take this crash course to bone up on the basics, and check out the extra credit for some bonus tips.

Lesson 1: Always Come to Class Prepared
The most important tool for any shopper: your list. Your list doesn't have to be on paper, it can be in your head. The point here is to zero in on the things you need, or the mall can be overwhelming. It's easy for a novice shopper to head into the mall for a pair of pants and come out with three blouses, a skirt, a belt, a new purse… but no pants. The key to avoiding this common pitfall is familiarizing yourself with your list, and making sure to take as few detours as possible.

Lesson 2: Double Check Your Work
Whenever you are about to make a purchase, splurge or planned, you should always ask yourself : "Do I really love it?" "Does it fit me well?" Am I really positive I have something in my closet right now I can wear it with?" If you don't score 100% on any of these tests, don't buy it.

Lesson 3: Study Study Study
It's easy to buy a great trend piece on impulse, and then realize it's simply not you. Make sure to do your homework about what styles best flatter your body type, and what is age appropriate. Gather all the important details like your current sizing, and shop using all the info you pull together.

Lesson 4: Mind the Dress Code
Always wear clothes that are easy to get in and out of, and shoes that slip on and off without lots of buckles and zippers. You'll have a better feel of how you'll look in things if you wear your hair and makeup the way you would on an average day. If you are shopping for a dress for a special occasion, make sure to wear your hair up if you plan to do so, and bring any accessories you have already chosen, to ensure that they match.

Lesson 5: Have Good School Spirit
Don't go to the mall with a bad attitude! Never shop when you're incredibly hungry or very tired. You will be overly critical of yourself and the items, and your negative mood may rub off on the salespeople around you.

Lesson 6: Don't Procrastinate on Important Assignments
Try to avoid shopping for an event two hour before you need to get dressed. Hurried decisions tend not to be our strongest choices.

Lesson 7: Do the Math
Is that $500 item way too much or within reason? Make sure you can calculate the cost per wear, and make sure to factor in how many seasons you'll be able to wear it. Remember: it costs the same to by a $100 item or a $50 twice because the first one broke down. Quality isn't always less affordable.

Lesson 8: Know the Classics
No no, not Plato and Socrates, classic like wool trousers or basic pumps. Don't feel guilty about spending more on quality classics, just make sure you're spending less on trendy seasonal pieces.

Lesson 9: When All Else Fails, Learn to Cheat
You don't always have to buy the designer version, knockoff's can be a great way to fill out your wardrobe with trendier pieces that don't necessarily need to last. Just make sure to stick to neutral color pieces, as cheap fabrics look even cheaper in brighter colors.

EXTRA CREDIT : SHOPPING THE SALES
Think you've mastered the basics of shopping? Then try tackling this extra credit and learn to shop the sales!

Lesson 1: True/False
It may claim to be a bargain, but this is a true/false question. An item of clothing only has a great price if you're actually going to wear it. Otherwise you're just spending $9.99 to give up more closet space.

Lesson 2: Master Tough Division Problems
Stop before the checkout counter and try to divide your would-be purchases in half. Don't compromise just because it's cheap! Ask yourself the hard questions, "Am I really going to have it tailored?" "Would I have really preferred this in another color?" "Is this still going to be in style a few months from now?"

Lesson 3: Take a Cue from History Class and Memorize The Dates
Most department stores mark down merchandise six to eight weeks after it hits the floor. If there is an item you simply cannot afford, try hitting the sales racks later down the road. The deepest storewide discounts begin the week after Christmas, and Memorial Day marks the start of spring clearances.

Lesson 4: Read The Syllabus and Know The Rules
If you're the type of shopper that needs to try it on at home before deciding if you really want it, make sure you know the stores return policy on SALE items before buying. Often "on sale" is equal to "final sale."
