TIM TAM SLAM

The Tim Tam Slam, also known as the Tim Tam Suck, Tim Tam Explosion, Tim Tam Orgasm, Tim Tam Straw, Shot-Gunning a Tim Tam, or just plain Tim Tamming is the main form of Tea Sucking in Australia and involves biting off opposing corners of the Tim Tam and then using it as a "straw" to suck up a hot beverage (usually tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc.) and then just because the gorgeous biscuit falls apart, it is placed in the mouth.

You haven't been to Australia till you've slammed a Tim Tam!!

good morning from Perth :)
spent the day in the indian ocean yesterday and got a fancy little sunburn, i look embarrassed with these extra rosy cheeks but i know my italian olive skin will turn it bronze in no time. I am LOVING being here, by the way. if it wasn't so far from my family, i would think about living here.

Anyway, to my american friends- run to your local magazine rack and buy the new issue of Lucky. I'm in it :) i haven't seen it so i can't tell you what the picture and layout is like, but it is basically about me and how i stay pretty on the road ( which products i use, etc ) and if one of you would be a sweet little gem and scan it for me so i can see it too... that would be nice :)

Holy cow am i loopy.

it is 7:07 am in Singapore, we have landed, i took my sleeping pill a bit too late into the flight from NYC and got caught up watching Twilight, Doubt, & Rachel Getting Married and am now one loopy mother fletcher. Now i am on a constant refill of espresso, once that kicks in i am headed downstairs to duty free shop. Let me tell you 1 thing- it is all about moisturizing. it is the key to life. I am stocking up.

In a few hours i will have made it to Oz (Australia) where i will be spending a few days off and then will start a delightful promo tour! My record has just been released there- last week it was the iTunes free single of the week and also a featured album and this week it is the Nokia free featured single download as well. i couldn't be more happy to be returning to one of my most favorite countries. it is worth it to travel around the world to get there and i will keep in contact with you, telling stories about what all is happening, what i'm eating, seeing, breathing, wearing, etc. if you have buddies and family in AUS tell them about me :) and i will be letting you know about shows within the next few days. i am scheduled to play in Melbourne at Melbourne Lane on the 15th of March. If you are there, please do come and see me, and if you are not there and know someone there- tell them to come by and i will shower them with songs & love :)

Hello boys, hello girls. I caught a bug hanging out in the hospital 24/7.. It's not looking or sounding good. I went to a throat specialist yesterday in New York City, and I am on complete vocal rest till the show in boulder, Colorado Sunday evening. I have never cancelled a show in my life up until this past week, and again, I assure you this is not the norm. I normally would sing through this shit, but I am a mute right now and I've been warned that if I do sing in this condition, I could do permanent damage or at least a few months recovery... Hello my sweets... I am writing this blog from my iPhone so I apologize if it is short and a bit messy. I just landed in NYc... I flew back home because my grandma Dill (like the pickle) has been diagnosed with leukemia. She and i have a very special relationship. She's one of my best friends and I need to be with her and my family during this difficult emotional time.. She has started her second round of kemo and I are here to help her heal. I have so much hope in my heart that she will go into remission, though she is elderly and the disease is aggresive, I know that she does not want to leave this world yet. I am praying all day everyday. I'm going to be missing Tonights show in Spokane, as well as Boise and Teton Village(Jackson Hole)... I'll be back for the remainder of the tour starting the 30th in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Thank you for understanding and I promise you, cross my heart, I'll be back to ur city soon to sing you songs...
