Monster Hunter 3 will be on the Wii? Capcom will be switching platforms because it's cheaper to develop on the Wii. How crazy is that?

Although it makes a lot of sense. Sony's quest for next-gen pwnage really blew up in their faces.

For those of you who have missed the last few years of life, and have no idea what the Monster Hunter franchise is all about...let me break this down for you.

You hunt dragons, and quasi-dinosauric animals. You kill them, and then cut pieces off of them. You use those pieces to make better armor and weapons. The weapons are huge. Seriously. Check out the picture below:

That's a low-level weapon. Once you really get the hang of slaughtering animals, things get even better.

So far, the US has only seen Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter Freedom (PSP), and Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (PSP). I was hoping Monster Hunter 2 would've been released here, but Capcom chose to screw over the US market. Now that MH3 will be on the Wii, they may choose to release it here.

I'm still skeptical on how the controls would work. Accessing the game menu with one hand may prove to be too difficult.

I downloaded RF Online tonight, since it's freeware now. It's from the same company as Archlord, so it has the same faults. Overall, it's good, because of the sci-fi theme. It's gets boring playing the same type of orc/elf/dwarf player.

I watched Highlander: The Source. I will not discuss it. I used to have respect for the Highlander franchise. Secretly hoping that it would come back from the dead. Secretly hoping the next installment wouldn't suck. Now? As far as I'm concered, the Highlander franchise is dead. Dead like Rosie O'Donnell's career.

That movie was horrible. Horrible! How high were the screenwriters? It was total crap.

I also watched Blade: Trinity. I wasn't expecting much from it. It wasn't too bad. The story seemed a bit rushed. I'd have liked to see more character development. Not too much.

I've been trying like crazy to get the CodeBreaker to work for my PS2. I didn't actually buy the product. I scored me some warez online. Sadly, it's proving to be a pain to get it set up. I'm going through CD-R's like they're candy. You get what you pay for.

The World Series of Video Games has crashed and burned Daikatana style. I would say this is a sad, sad day for gaming if I was one of those "pro" gamers. Good thing I'm not. It was an idiotic idea to begin with. Professional gaming doesn't have the fan-base to support something like that. This would work in South Korea or Japan, but the last thing I want to do is watch a bunch of people I don't know play WoW on the television. Is that fun? Hell no it's not. If I'm going to watch someone play games, I'd like to be in the same room.

I will admit that Quake would've been fun to watch. It would've especially been fun to see one of those "all-female gamer clans" like the Frag Dolls or PMS get taken to school. Those things are such marketing scams.

In other news, my project at work moved to a new location in the office. It's near windows that face the hill behind our building. It is awesome. So far I haven't seen any animals.

I received a telemarketing call last week. It was from some company/television station who wanted me to watch a free preview of an upcoming television show. Once I was finished watching it, they'd call me and ask me my thoughts.

Of course I told them I would. I'll pretty much agree to anything over the phone, as long as it's free.

The preview was last Thursday. Christa and I have this Bible study we attend, so I used the DVR, and hoped the babysitter didn't answer the phone.

Apparently, they called...a lot. They called again when we came home, and didn't seem thrilled that I missed it. Hopefully they ask me to watch another preview.

So, the preview. It was the pilot episode of Cashmere Mafia. It's some Sex and the City clone with Lucy Liu, and the chick who played Eowyn in Lord of the Rings. I watched a few minutes of it, and it sucked. I think Christa watched the whole thing. It's about four savvy, professional women in the business world, who have to deal with life, making more money than their significant others, ignoring their children (if they have any), etc. It was lame.

What isn't lame is Archlord, now that it's free. There are tons of quests, and the pvp is decent. It's not as amazing as the pvp in Shadowbane, but it's close. It's no WoW though. Few games can really match WoW for quality and enjoyment.

The best day of my life was December 28, 2004. That was the day that Christa and I were married.

The second best day of my life was March 30, 2006. That was the day that Sada was born.

Today is the third best day of my life. Today, StarCraft 2 was announced.

My company is celebrating Earth Day today.

Ah, Earth Day...a day where people can come together and pretend to care about our dwindling natural resources, plants, and animals. It's a day where we can drive our SUV's down to the local park, a half mile away, and spend time "communing" with nature. It's a day where our government can make promises about a green future, twenty or thirty years down the road, but will probably change with the next administration.

Don't get me wrong, there are people out there who really care about what's going on. However, the remaining 90% of the world doesn't seem to really want to get their hands dirty.

The Chinese River Dolphin: functionally extinct since 2006.

The Amur Leopard: less than forty remaining.

The Abingdon Island Tortoise: only one remaining.

The Western Black Rhinoceros: functionally extinct since 2006.

The Golden Toad: extinct since 1989.

I could go on and on about plants and animals that are either extinct, or close to it, but I wont. We keep assuming the problem will be handled by the next generation, and so on. We need to get out of that rut.

What's up with John McCain these days? Seriously. What's going on with him? He seemed like such a great candidate a few months ago. When did he become a nutcase?

Where's Wesley Clark when we need him?

It looks like the Fish and Wildlife Service may reclassify the manatee from "endangered" to "threatened." This is really good news, since we've done so much damage to the manatee's habitat.

Having this announcement come out right before Earth Day is great news for environmentalists. After seeing the extinction of the Chinese River Dolphin, some good news was needed. Florida should have some type of manatee celebration for Earth Day. In fact, I'm going to go celebrate the manatee right now:
