I'm checking out the artist lineup for Lollapalooza 2009 since I'll be attending. Over half the artists are new to me so I'm doing some research. Seems as if their will be just as much bad as good at Lollapalooza.  This is going to be interesting. Some of the music is so weird I don't know what to think of it; therefore, this is going to be an exciting new experience. This will be my first 3 day music festival. So, I'm on the Lollapalooza website, clicking on most of the artists to get a feel for their sound and wondering what most of these artists were thinking when coming up with a name, or where they? I'm thinking about 40% are a joke anyway. I believe some just used the first word that came to mind after smoking a bowl or too much vodka or tequilla. The band "Hockey" for example, Our favorite sport is Hockey, so why dont' we just call ourselves that! What? A few others; Lunch Money, Care Bears on Fire (Ok, I kinda like this one :),  Deerhunter, He Say, She Say and Heartless Bastards. Some make me laugh which is great, but can't help but think how a few of them just simply sound stupid.

is bullshit, lol. Basiclly, yep that's what I wanted to say. Waking up every day and seeing people that we can't stand, but pretend we like just to get a job done. It's all about as fake as f*@ing high school. Managers and co-workers manipulate and use people just to make themselves look better. I know what your thinking right now. That's the way it is Jenn. That's just the way it is. Do you know how TIRED I am from hearing that? Saying that is just the way it is is stating the OBVIOUS. If I wanted to hear someone stat the obvious, I would go talk to my Dad (which I don't do very often). I read a little and I've attended seminars. I know we deserve and are capable of more than what we are, just being a part of the rat race, living paycheck to paycheck. I don't believe that is the way it has to be. We were trained that this is the way it is, go to school and get an education and get a real job. What about the people who like to think for themselves? They aren't a part of an organized religion (cult) and they KNOW that they are being lied to by the media everyday.
Sorry this is how I feel today. Been in this mood for two days now. Hopefully I will be better tomorrow. I feel like doing something drastic and moving to a foreign country for a year, lol.

Choosing new thoughts to replace the old, limiting ones.

1. Make your mindset as real, concrete and comprehensive as possible. That means writing it down exactly as you want it to be.

2. Think in an unlimited way. Give yourself permission to envision yourself, your attitudes about yourself, others and how the world works exactly as you would like them to be.

3. Be sure to u Make your mindset as real, concrete and comprehensive as possible. That means writing it down exactly as you want it to be.
se the present tense. You must not think in terms of "someday," or write "I will be." Write it and experience it as if it were true right now... even if the results have not yet manifested. Write, for instance, "I love making money and running a successful business, because it allows me to be generous to others." Give your unconscious mind the message that this reality is already manifest in your life.

4. Make your mindset emotional. In addition to writing in the present tense, include emotional words and get involved emotionally in what you are writing. Remember, feelings are the gateway to the unconscious mind... and your unconscious mind is the real power behind your success. Emotion creates motivation. You must get passionate. Unless you are passionate about your new mindset, unless you truly fall in love with it, it will not come into physical form.

5. Be careful to state what you do want, not what you don't want. Our minds cannot process a negative. If I tell you not to think about an ice cream cone, what do you think about? You must first think of what I told you not to think about before you can tell your mind not to think about it! All this thinking will cause you to attract the very thing you don't want. So remember to state what you do want.

6. Create a picture of your mindset and be in the picture... not just an observer looking at it. When I ask people to do this exercise, they almost always find that they are looking at themselves in the picture. This doesn't work. You must be in the picture of your new mindset. If you're looking at yourself in the picture, you're telling your unconscious that it's not really you, that you're not really there yet. When you're actually in the picture, you are experiencing the emotions and results that you already have your new life. You are telling your unconscious, "This is real!" Your unconscious immediately goes about creating that reality. See what you would see if you were in the picture, not looking at yourself in the picture.

Portrait of an INFP - Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving
(Introverted Feeling with Extraverted Intuition)
The Idealist

As an INFP, your primary mode of living is focused internally, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit into your personal value system. Your secondary mode is external, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.

INFPs, more than other iNtuitive Feeling types, are focused on making the world a better place for people. Their primary goal is to find out their meaning in life. What is their purpose? How can they best serve humanity in their lives? They are idealists and perfectionists, who drive themselves hard in their quest for achieving the goals they have identified for themselves

INFPs are highly intuitive about people. They rely heavily on their intuitions to guide them, and use their discoveries to constantly search for value in life. They are on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through the INFP's value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help the INFP define or refine their own path in life. The goal at the end of the path is always the same - the INFP is driven to help people and make the world a better place.

Generally thoughtful and considerate, INFPs are good listeners and put people at ease. Although they may be reserved in expressing emotion, they have a very deep well of caring and are genuinely interested in understanding people. This sincerity is sensed by others, making the INFP a valued friend and confidante. An INFP can be quite warm with people he or she knows well.

INFPs do not like conflict, and go to great lengths to avoid it. If they must face it, they will always approach it from the perspective of their feelings. In conflict situations, INFPs place little importance on who is right and who is wrong. They focus on the way that the conflict makes them feel, and indeed don't really care whether or not they're right. They don't want to feel badly. This trait sometimes makes them appear irrational and illogical in conflict situations. On the other hand, INFPs make very good mediators, and are typically good at solving other people's conflicts, because they intuitively understand people's perspectives and feelings, and genuinely want to help them.

INFPs are flexible and laid-back, until one of their values is violated. In the face of their value system being threatened, INFPs can become aggressive defenders, fighting passionately for their cause. When an INFP has adopted a project or job which they're interested in, it usually becomes a "cause" for them. Although they are not detail-oriented individuals, they will cover every possible detail with determination and vigor when working for their "cause".

When it comes to the mundane details of life maintenance, INFPs are typically completely unaware of such things. They might go for long periods without noticing a stain on the carpet, but carefully and meticulously brush a speck of dust off of their project booklet.

INFPs do not like to deal with hard facts and logic. Their focus on their feelings and the Human Condition makes it difficult for them to deal with impersonal judgment. They don't understand or believe in the validity of impersonal judgment, which makes them naturally rather ineffective at using it. Most INFPs will avoid impersonal analysis, although some have developed this ability and are able to be quite logical. Under stress, it's not uncommon for INFPs to mis-use hard logic in the heat of anger, throwing out fact after (often inaccurate) fact in an emotional outburst.

INFPs have very high standards and are perfectionists. Consequently, they are usually hard on themselves, and don't give themselves enough credit. INFPs may have problems working on a project in a group, because their standards are likely to be higher than other members' of the group. In group situations, they may have a "control" problem. The INFP needs to work on balancing their high ideals with the requirements of every day living. Without resolving this conflict, they will never be happy with themselves, and they may become confused and paralyzed about what to do with their lives.

INFPs are usually talented writers. They may be awkard and uncomfortable with expressing themselves verbally, but have a wonderful ability to define and express what they're feeling on paper. INFPs also appear frequently in social service professions, such as counselling or teaching. They are at their best in situations where they're working towards the public good, and in which they don't need to use hard logic.

INFPs who function in their well-developed sides can accomplish great and wonderful things, which they will rarely give themselves credit for. Some of the great, humanistic catalysts in the world have been INFPs.

Jungian functional preference ordering:

Dominant: Introverted Feeling
Auxiliary: Extraverted Intuition
Tertiary: Introverted Sensing
Inferior: Extraverted Thinking

January 18-20th. I had the opportunity to go to Anaheim, CA to go to NAMM.
http://www.thenammshow.com/ Definately the greatest trade show I have been to. I was excited about going because I used to read about it in Metal Edge Magazine. Interesting gear they are coming out with, such as the electronic drum sets that looked like real drum kits with blue, green, red, yellow cymbals. Guitars in the shape of flames, lol. The displays were beautiful, therefore, I took a lot of pictures.
Saw a few familiar musicians: CC Deville, Nikki Six, Mick Mars, Gary Hoey, Jordan Ruddes, Heart, and the Donnas were there walking around, so of course I said Hi :)
I also got a pic taken with on of the actors from the movie Rockstar, working his dayjob, lol. He looked exactly like he did in the movie and very friendly. I believe his name was Fred.
Before making it back to Phoenix I decided to check out Santa Monica, had to see the ocean. No waves for surfing tho. I visited the Pier and the shops on Promenade. First time there it was beautiful, and the weather was perfect.
