HELLLZZZZ YEAAHH!!

    Today crept up on me almost as if I had forgotten it's existance. I had been fearing today for some time now thinking that something evil would arise. Thankfully, I am wrong so far.

Today marks the release of The Omen a remake of the 1976 original. From what I can tell from the trailer this movie is going to be a horror thriller that is fairly mild in action as compared to most movies of today. As with the Amityville Horror remake, The Omen features a face that is familiar to most people. Julia Stiles plays the demonic childs' mother to a very dramatic effect. This probably won't be enough to save the movie from being one of the worst remakes of all time. Personal judgement withheld, the critics at www.movies.go.com have given this one a C-.

Lastly, if no one has found this out yet... The Virginia Diner has opened a store in the mall close to where the sword shop used to be. The Virginia Diner itself is located off 460 out in the middle of nowhere, but features the largest collection of peanuts for sale that I have ever seen. The Virginia Diner store features many different kinds of Peanuts, Jellies, and Hot Sauces available for sale.

 Anyways, I work at 3pm today. So I'm off to do stuff until then. Later

One of the strongest parts of the storm, the darkest red, will head directly over chesterfield... This storm may possibly bring tornados. I am reporting that at approximately 4:00pm today, a minister came into my psychology class and told us about the first time he ever masturbated... whoever wants to top that may try. But I doubt it will even compare. I am going to play some video gaming goodness and wait for the storm to hit, then I shall make my way downstairs and wait out the brunt of the storm... Point: U.S. legislators are trying to pass a bill to make it illegal to sell video games of a 'Mature' or 'Adult Only' rating to minors (those under the age of 17 or 18).

Counterpoint: VGV members are trying to keep legislators from passing the laws stated above.

Counterproductive point on both parties' sides: IT IS ALREADY FUCKING ILLEGAL TO SELL VIDEO GAMES TO MINORS, THERE IS A THING CALLED THE ESRB RATING SYSTEM WHICH HAS BEEN IN PLACE FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW. SPENDING TIME TO PUT IT ON THE LAW BOOKS IS ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS, BUT WHAT IS REALLY MORE POINTLESS IS RALLYING AGAINST PEOPLE WHO ARE WASTING THEIR TIME TO MAKE ILLEGAL SOMETHING THAT IS ALREADY ILLEGAL!

More importantly, it SHOULD be wrong to sell Grand Theft Auto to minors, just as it is wrong for kids to see R-Rated movies. However, passing such a law would be pointless.

A) The parent already knows that their child plays M-Rated video games, and doesn't care.

B) The parent will say 'yes' to any game regardless of rating just to shut the little brat up.

C) The parent has no clue what ESRB stands for.

------ As an employee of gamestop, I make SURE that C is eliminated as a reason, A and B i try to dissuade the sale of M rated games to minors. I have never placed a relationship between violent video games and violent acts commited by kids, I am almost sure that I never will. But there is ratings system for a reason. Placing a law into effect that makes it "federally" illegal would not change my position at all, because the parent will buy it for them anyways, if not a parent -- then a homeless bum who was paid $5 will.

Okay, so I haven't been doing a damn thing other than playing everquest and my PSP, hanging out with my beautiful girlfriend (which is always fun), and working at gamestop. I eventually plan on fixing up my myspace... really, i do.

In my last blog I mentioned a project I was planning on working on, and I can honestly say I haven't done much work with it. While talking with my friend rudy last night, I found out what I wanted to do. Only my friends will get the info on this in my next blog which I will attempt to start in a moment.

I spent most of the weekend with Sara, that was the most fun I've ever had... ever. I enjoyed having her over and I hope that she can do it again sometime soon.

I need to get together with my friends soon, I'm sorry that I am so elusive, I always have too much to do, and I'm sorry. We'll hang out soon... I promise.

I've been spending too much time watching Red vs Blue looking at the little things and paying attention to the little details... and listening to the commentary, those guys are awesome, it sucks i will be missing them this weekend at Katsucon.

First off, today is my girlfriend's mom's birthday, she is [censored] years old this year. ^_^; hee hee. I'm just messing with yall.

So, What have I been doing? School, a couple days of work every week, everquest, and checking out new games and my PSP. Legend of Heroes has some REALLY BAD translation errors.

(for those of you interested, here is a long and drawn out section on a video-game based web series that I am working on --- if this isn't for you, skip the next block of text)
I am preparing to unleash a machinima series upon the world, I am in the alpha phase of preparations however. My series is going to be an action-comedy that revolves around members of the Zeta squad of the "good" army searching for the lost and marooned Delta squad on an enemy-controlled planet. It will be a futuristic series. I will not be revealing any information about which game(s) I am planning to use. I am hiring at no cost to me friends who wish to be a part of this momentous occasion. During the alpha phase I will have 3 spots available.
            1) Game Tester - who will play lan games with me and/or x-box link games with me just so I can see how the game would look in a cinematic format. This includes doing exactly what I say at any given moment as long as it pertains to the game. I may grant artistic freedom to show me something better.
             2) Web Designer - Not exactly neccesary until I am sure that this is going to happen, but it would be nice to speak with a web designer about space limitations and possibly seeing some cool set-up's . This job includes working with me on logo design, I want everything to look good. Hint: I already have someone in mind, so if anyone other than Rudy wants to try for this spot, show me your skills (angelfire hosts a free .html based editor, so go there and make me a sweet webpage)
             3) Assistant - Basically, this person will be helping to document the alpha stage via video camera, he/she needs to be available almost anytime that I am, of course --- I can always run the camera myself. This job also includes playtesting, as well as providing me with alcoholic drinks. To do this job, you must have a steady hand and a nearly flex schedule.... actually, just a steady hand will do fine.

          I will also be looking for musical talent in the upcomming months to help me write, compose, and patent a musical score to go with a sort of "introduction" to the series. The introduction will be more like a trailer/teaser.
