Album Notes:

Philly's smooth-singing soul man starts this tight-knit collection with the title track from his sophomore release, Supply & Demand. This is Live Session's most rousing number - getting a lift from an in-the-pocket piano solo and subject matter that mixes straightforward storytelling with subtly profound epiphanies. The pace mellows as Lee's voice takes center stage on the next couple of tracks, including the meditative "Black River" that'll make you feel like you're peering at a man finding sweet escape at a secluded fishing hole. Some infectious scatting punctuates the collection's final number, which finds Lee channeling a "Street Corner Preacher" who professes a bluesy gospel.
