I might just cry! I know we get all these readers but none of them do anything but ya know read. I just read Sarah's "we are fueled by music" blog (http://blog. myspace. com/index. cfm?fuseaction=blog. view&friendID=379086094&blogID=403739493) and I'm like I should probably do the same thanking people for support.
Where to begin? There's been so much support it's hard to start. For one thing our readers and fans. If we didn't have you we literally wouldn't exsist! As for bands well...KOOPA of course has been here all the way. I wasn't around for the early bands which were Powerspace, Kung Fu Girls, and so many others but I think the early bands did a lot of the work in supporting us. A few bands that have been a big support to me are the Strike Nineteens, Garage, Smoking Ink, and Tonights Main Headline. I think every band I've interviewed or reviewed has a been a major support!
Now for people...ya think how long my speech would be if I won an oscar...Sarah and the whole team (Martina, Hayley, Jessica, Amanda, Gabbi, Stephani, Susan, Darcy) have been so great. We're like all friends now so it's more fun to work with friends. My friend Nia and Chanett are always there for me when I just need to tell them good news or bad. Jessica has been a HUGE help with the graphics. She has so much talent and gives me more ideas every time we make an ezine layout. Darcy well may not be here for too long, even though she's busy she's been a great support to the team.
Here's to you everyone! You have no idea how difficult it is to update the ezine each week. Each month was sooo easy because we just updated whenever we wanted, but now its like who's the main attraction, omg do I have your reviews, where's the layout, what's the layout. But in the end it's all worth it. It's amazing just to see that even on the slow weeks 50 people are up there reading.
Please keep supporting us each week by just viewing the ezine. The more views we get the bigger we can be. We're egarly looking for sponsors but so far no takers. We're hoping that one day we will have a few. =)
We really know how hard it is to get noticed. When I first joined Fueled by Music we barely had any attention, but now that we're expanding each week we get noticed by new and bigger bands. It's amazing!! I'm thrilled to be apart of this new experience. I seriously believe we are are going to keep growing and maybe make an impact in the music industry.
I have no idea what to look for in the future. I'm a multi-talented artist (meaning I write, design, act, sing, etc.) and I feel all this pressure to go someone. Our culture makes it look like we can only stick to one thing, but I don't want to convinced to do that. I want to do it all!!
I was recently told I'm a top finalist in a fashion design contest (a contest I completely forgot I entered), and they asked me if I was to give advice to someone what would I say. I had no idea what to write down at first but when I looked back at Fueled by Music my number one thought was, keep dreaming. It's so true! People tend to push dreams aside or consider them overrated.
I'm sorry if this was too much reading for you. I know I type a lot!
