People, I don't need another online distraction. I have been distracted by the Internet in all of its various forms since its inception - MySpace wasn't necessary. This is all Candace's fault.

Although?

1) I like that the majority of people who know me in real life have no idea I have a MySpace thingy. They just know about ejshea.com. I feel like I have a secret.

2) It's addictive going through people's profiles and realizing you can find people you haven't seen or heard from in ages, like my good friend Mark is a nice perk. Mark was one of my best friends in grade school, the person to first call me "Shea," although it actually was "Shea Shea" and he still calls me that, and though we've always kept up with each other through mutual acquaintances, today we actually touched base with each other.

3) I too can become one of those obnoxious people who put out a Web presence and don't give you the option as to whether or not you want to hear from their playlist. For instance, I enjoy annoying a certain someone with my incessant need to play "SexyBack" over and over again, including my own personal interpretation of it. Now, if he wants to visit my profile, he'll have to listen to SexyBack if I so choose to download it.

Ahhh. Lovely.
