Here's some picts from a free screen printing workshop I attended back in July 2007. It was hosted by Quiksilver at The Mission in Venice, CA.

since i didn't do a great job of documenting the screen printing process with my photos, it was mostly wow i love this creative workplace *snap snap*, i'm including a link to make magazine's how-to make your own screenprinted t-shirt video. this pretty much sums up what was taught at the workshop.

my SF trip was a blast. i drove up late friday night. i covered so much ground on saturday! lunch at Village California Bistro at Santana Row in San Jose, went to go check out open house at the Academy of Art in SF, sophie's crepes in J Town, Ogi solo art show at Receiver gallery, J.Kochalka show at Giant Robot in Haight Ashbury, dinner at Bangkok noodles and thai bbq at near market street in downtown SF. drove past china town and dropped off Sunny in Oakland. sunday went across the bridge to go to my friend Jason's wedding at Tomales Bay State Park, wed reception/luncheon at olema inn. my friend Pat cooked a wonderful thai dinner before i left SF around 10:30pm. got home at 3am!

Theo Jansen "Kinetic Sculptures"

Five months after being awarded the prestigious BMW (South Africa) advertising account, fledgling creative hotshop Ireland/Davenport launched the agency's first new TV commercial for the brand. Shot in the Netherlands utilising the moving sculptures of world-renowned artist Theo Jansen, the commercial, entitled "Kinetic Sculptures" forms part of a broader campaign which serves to highlight BMW's market leadership in the fields of technology and innovation. Tochka's- Pika Pika Lighting Doodle Project

Award winning Japanese artist-collective TOCHKA recently released the 2007 version of the Pika Pika Lightning Doodle Project. Flashlights are used to tag the air and create simple animations that beautify the air we breathe.
