Started another book about a week ago.  Maldene Origins:  The First War

Just finished my latest book, the first of a 2-book prequel to the Maldene series: "Maldene Origins I: Genesis".

just noticed a rather drastic upswing in activity on the Maldene site; quite a noticeable jump on the hit counter.  Looks like those news releases of mine did at least a little good.  The start of better things to come perhaps?

So, someone tried ordering Maldene through an actual brick and mortar store, specifically Vromans.  Vromans did so, and one month later either Publisher or Distributor still haven't sent anything along.  Distributor has a copy but hadn't gotten the order from Publisher.  So, I emailed my Publisher, got a form letter back saying how nothing is ever their fault, which I forwarded to the one wanting the book.  He now is getting Vroman's to contact Publisher about the matter, hopefully lighting a fire under their inattentive rears.

Well for what it's worth, this little author here is now on Facebook as well.  Just look for my full name as it appears on the book cover.

Well, just bought a dual-monitor G5 system from a friend. Now the big job of porting all the stuff from my Amiga onto the new system... including the gigaquads of writing type stuff.

The Little Old Bookshop in Whittier (6708 Greenleaf Ave.) is not only nice enough to have actual physical copies of my novel on their shelves but will also be having me over there on March 14 at about Noon. I'll be talking up the book, reading a couple of chapters, that sort of thing for a couple hours or so. So anyone in the area, come on over in March!

Some few may notice the hit counter at Maldene.com  took a major jump last night; I switched it from displaying Unique hits only to displaying All hits instead.

Well, seems as a myspace friend has finished Maldene and liked it pretty well.  I've posted a copy of his email (unedited)- post-VolumeII read- up on the maldene site (www.maldene.com); just hit the "News" button on the main menu page.
