So I had to go on a sabbatical for a while.  Clear my head, get things straight.  I'll still be doing solo stuff but I also started a new band www.myspace.com/goodbyefate .   I'm truely excited about it and I'm extremely excited to be back out playing shows.

sorry for all of those that I didn't get back to on things.  Life just hit me really hard.  I'm back up and at em and I'll be sure to help anyone out however I can.

it's now Saturday evening I was lucky to escape that damn place today. I've spent the last number of days in the St. Mary's hospital in Kankakee, IL. so so glad to be back.

Here is how it all went down.

LOS VEGAS LAST WEEK OF MARCH
so I was in Vegas with some good friends having a good time and hoping to get some work done. everything was going great and then one morning I got a phone call... ring ring... hmm who could that be? it was none other than my dear old Dad. He had bad news... my Grandfather was in the hospital in Lake Havasu, AZ and they were in need of my assistance.

LAKE HAVASU, AZ
so, I got on a bus which took me to the airport then I went through the airport passing security so I could get the the arrival gates and there I picked up another bus which took me the 2.5 hrs to Lake Havasu. Got my grandpa from the hospital went back to their winter home and went to sleep. a few hours later I was up calling for an ambulance because once again my grandfather was really sick.

by now it is April 1st which is the first day of a 2 week tour that I had booked with Greyson and well obviously I was no where near IL to start the tour. So I had to call and cancel a few shows. I didn't think it would be too long before I got home.

so yeah grandpa back to the hospital. doctor kept him for a few days said there were a few different things wrong but most importantly he had an infection called Cellulitis which is a horrific infection of the leg something that is common in the elderly.

One of the nights during this time I met a girl whose name was KIm she was from Dallas and was working for the energy drink company called Thrive (the only reason I remember the energy drink company is because of the way she said it with that hot Texan accent). Anyways she was bored, and needed a key to the hot tub. So we both went to the hot tub ended up having a really good time. We left the hot tub and went on an adventure by the lake which in turn took us to this really sweet night club right off the beach. Lucky for us they had $1 shots off some weird alcohol that tasted fantastic . we had a few drinks stumbled back out to the sand and water and started walking down the beach. this girl was great absolutely gorgeous and tons of fun. we ended up ballroom dancing in the moonlit sand. As we were leaving we got the idea of climbing palm trees something I always wanted to do. it was amazing fun! you should try it sometime. on the way back to the apartments we talked about going out for dinner the next night and they morning after that going for a hike.

so needless to say I was feeling great about the evening it was a huge blast and she was amazing. ...

I saw her the next day and she acted like she had never met me. she didn't want to go out to dinner with me and absolutely refused the idea of going on a hike. i ran into her several times that week and she ignored me each time. crazy crazy

so my grandpa was out of the hospital but he wasn't getting much better he wasn't well enough to travel home by car or plane and there wasn't much else I could do i was now 6 days late on the tour. so i got on a bus rode back to Los Vegas got on a plane and headed for Chicago. Got home and left the next day to join the tour in Terre Haute, IN with Greyson.

Terre Haute, IN

the show was great lots of friendly and familiar faces. I was actually able to have everyone come up on the stage and sit around me some of them even sang along to the tunes. they were having a great time and I was having a great time. I got us a place to stays with my friend Corey we had a blast he shoved a whiskey soaked tampon up his ass to get drunk... it didn't really work.

we ended up having the next day off and after much debating we ended up in Charleston, IL which was indeed a very lame town. but we had a good time we stayed with a gay guy and one of Greyson's band member's EX girlfriends.. so that was interesting.

St. Louis, MO

we drove to the show. got there and found out the show had been canceled. irritated and bummed we left and headed to Macomb, IL .

Macomb, IL
got there and the party was already started. we were staying at a party house for sure. met lots of awesome people that night, promoted the crap out of the show. Went this club called the Cafe they ended up having me play some songs the crowd actually enjoyed the shit out of it got rid of a tun of cds. I was introduced to this drink called a Quelled it had milk and several other shots in it... it tasted like a milk shake. mhh really good! walked back to the party house with Davin (vocalist for Greyson) him and I talked a great deal that night we learned that we were both much alike which was cool. then we proceeded to head back the party house and along the way Davin yelled obscene things and kicked every car he could... he didn't damage any of them though.

show night was pretty sweet we pretty much just slept in at the house and when we woke up everyone at the house drank and then right before we went to the show there was a pre party that was in full swing probably about 25 kids packed in to a small house doing everything you could think of it was great.

we head to the show. my friend christina was having a hard time finding it so I was on the phone trying to give her directions to a venue I had never been at the same time I was trying to give direction to the driver of our vehicle and it was a big mess but we got there. the venue was called the Day Old Basement ironically because it was in the basement of another party house. This place was pretty darn sketchy lots of history of drug users and sellers coming through the house. the show rocked though. lots and lots of good times actually sold alot of merch made alot of new friends.

after the show it was back tot he party house for ... you guessed it more parting! I didn't last too long ... just wasn't my night. I ended up with a bad mental breakdown and it took Davin a little while to get me calmed down. then I went to sleep in some girls room.

THE DAY OF THE LEG

the next day I woke up tried to get out of bed and felt a pain worse then any i have ever felt before. I would describe it as if your whole leg got crushed by tons and tons and tons of weight. it was horrible I had to crawl to the bathroom and I could barley even sit on the seat. I went up stairs and had someone take me to the emergency . They called it Cellulitus and said that it would heal with strong antibiotics and pain killers.

OTTUMWA, IA

I had a great time at this show although the pain was the worst that it had been thus far. the show was small but the people were great don't get to see my friends Josh and Liz very often. they let us stay at their place for the night all of the greyson boys and a few people from the show including liz and josh all sat around and watched Clearks 2 . it was a wonderful evening .

MOLINE, IL

the place we played was called mix tapes and I was no where near better but I was toughing it out. I couldn't eat very much, the antibiotics made me sick. I tried to get down some pizza but it just wasn't happening. went to the show and everyone was awesome they had me open all the kids came in a sat down right in front of the stage. they all sat still and quiet full attention on me. I couldn't believe the amount of respect they gave me I was so impressed and had such a wonderful time with them. the whole show was great everyone treated us great. my leg hurt like a bitch but I toughed it out anyways. we all went to a party at one of the band members houses after the show we were there for a while and then everyone was ready to head to peoria. we got to peoria and I went with Davin back to his place to spend easter sleeping off my leg.

EASTER SUNDAY

MONDAY CHICAGO

the show was fun lots of good friends the Abbey Pub had a large back stage and by rights we probably could have done the show there. my friend Angie came out to the show which was a blessing it was so great to see her. made some new friends. I felt I played well. the leg felt a bit better.

TUESDAY

did an audition for a drummer for a new project that David and I are putting together. it went hella great! got to the show in bradley... everything was going wrong the bakery had no power so we had to steal power from next door. one of the bands members didn't show up so they didn't know if they were going to be able to play. it all worked out great though. everyone got to play the show in candle light which made for an exceptional evening.

I do have to say. that crowd that night was so incredibly good to me that I had to fight back tears everyone was singing along or trying to everyone was listening and everyone always wanted more music. I have never felt as much love in a room as I did that night. by the end of the performance my leg looked horrible I went home put the leg up watched a movie, looked at my foot again and headed for the hospital.

I was in the hospital all the way up until today. I'm happy to be out they gave me tons and tons of medication and the bottom line is that I have to much pressure and stress and I need alot more light heartedness in my life. I am working on finding that balance and I am also working on eliminating alot of the stresses.

to everyone I know... you've all been so amazing to me in every way a person could think. thanks for being there and know that I will be there for you. I'm just a call away.

Much Love,

Josh LaMore

so good news, I'm going to be hitting the road with my friends from Greyson. I'll be doing acoustic sets and they will be tearing apart the stage with their full band energy. Please keep checking back for more updates with tour info. It's almost fully booked besides a few dates.

We will have flyers up for every show soon. If you'd like to promote one of the shows please let me know we'd really love the help and we would for sure repay you.

Much Love,
