Last Friday I went to Amsterdam for an interview with Tom Holkenborg a.k.a. Junkie XL. His brand new "Booming Back At You" album is out now and because of that, I did an interview with him. Oh, he also recently remixed the new Madonna track "4 Minutes".

Tomorrow! I'm going to interview the electronica legend Brian Transeau a.k.a. BT!
BT is a true dance music legend, one of the few producers that is worthy of the title 'genius'. He is an electronica pioneer, his productions stand the test of time, and he is still pushing the musical boundaries with the release of his last album 'This Binary Universe', being one of the first producers to embrace DVD-V technology.
This was swiftly followed by a re-release of his superb album, 'Emotional Technology' on Black Hole, including several new tracks and a bonus disc of remixes. He has also recently teamed up again with Tiësto on his new 'Elements Of Life' album.
His previous opuses, IMA, ESCM and Movement In Still Life stand up dance music milestones and he is behind some of the biggest trance classics ever including Flaming June, Libra – Calling Your Name and Jan Johnston – Flesh. As well as this he is behind masterful film scores such as 'Monster' and 'The Fast And The Furious'.
Tomorrow I will be interviewing BT, and we collected your questions... maybe, if you think of another good one, we might throw it in! Just reply in the thread...

Casey Keyworth a.k.a. 'Breakfast' was born in Annapolis, Maryland, The United States Of America on July 30th 1988. At the age of 9-ish, the song 'Daft Punk - Around The World' was introduced to him while listening to the radio. Casey immediately went to purchase the 'Homework' album and found some weird stuff he'd never heard of in his life. Shortly after he was jammin' on the program Fruity Loops with his new computer his mother purchased. This computer turned into Casey's main base for production in the years to come, where he learned to teach himself all of his techniques and styles in his music.
When he finished a coupled of songs, he handed over a demo CD to Ferry Corsten, who started to play out the track 'The Air Between' in his sets and he even played it in his Essential Mix! The track was signed to Ferry's label 'Flashover Recordings' under the artist name 'Breakfast'. Together with the track 'River Of Light' it was released a few weeks after Casey's 18th birthday on the label. The third 'Breakfast' release on Ferry's label is out now: 'The Sunlight'.
This weekend I spoke to Casey (for Trance.nu) about his new release, his future plans and trance music in the past and in the future ...
Enjoy! :)

German based DJ / producer Jam El Mar (real name Rolf Ellmer) is one of the brains behind successful EDM projects such as Jam & Spoon (Stella / Right In The Night / Be Angeled), Dance 2 Trance (Power Of American Natives / Warrior), Storm (Time To Burn / Stormanimal), B.G. The Prince Of Rap (Colour Of My Dreams / Rock A Bit), Tokyo Ghetto Pussy (I Kiss Your Lips / Fly Me To The Moon) and many others.
Jam El Mar worked a lot together with his studio partner Mark Spoon, who died in January 2006. Together they produced many hit records in the past and furthermore they also did lots of remixes for artists such as Paul van Dyk, Dr. Alban, Moby, Technotronic, Enigma, Deep Forest, Age Of Love, Pet Shop Boys, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and many more ...
I'm going to do an interview for Trance.nu with Jam El Mar pretty soon! If you have any questions, please post them here: http://trance.nu/v3/news_show.php?id=3737

A few weeks ago I did an interview by phone with German DJ, producer and remixer André Tanneberger, who became world famous under his alias 'ATB'. In 1998 he had a world wide hit with his record '9 PM (Till I Come)'. After the massive success of this track, more hits followed: 'Don't Stop', 'Killer', 'Hold You', 'Marrakech' and many others!
Besides his productions, he did many remixes for a lot of famous artists and acts as well. So for example 'ATB' remixed tracks from Gouryella, William Orbit, Rank 1, Miss Jane, Ayla, Blank & Jones, Bob Marley, York, Enigma, Kai Tracid, Signum, Mr. Sam, Sash! and lots of others!
And last but not least ATB is a well known DJ as well. He travels a lot around the world to entertain the audience with his music. You can find him ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 list for many years already!
Because of the brand new ATB album 'Trilogy', I did an interview for Trance.nu with André! And ... it's online now!
I hope you like it!

Well, let me name you some songs:
Motorcylce - As The Rusch Comes, Deepsky & Jes - Ghost Solarstone & Jes - Like A Waterfall Tiësto vs Jes - Everything
Sounds familiar? Haha! I hope you all love the vocals of Jes as much as I do! I had the honour to meet this lovely lady a few weeks ago in Breda, when she was in Holland for some promotional stuff. Paul (Re:Locate) Moelands and myself did an interview with her that evening.
Paul "Re:Locate" Moelands, Jes Brieden and myself.
The interview is finished now and you can find it online here: http://trance.nu/v3/news_show.php?id=3706I hope you all like it!
Cheers!

One month ago (On Friday March 16 2007) the Tiësto 'Elements Of Life' album tour started at a luggage hall at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. When the ticket sale for this party started, the location for the event was still kept as a secret. The ticket sale went very good, since the tickets were sold out already weeks before the date of the party!
I had to luck to get tickets, so a made a party report incl. pictures and movies!

You can find the whole report / pics / movies here: http://trance.nu/v3/news_show.php?id=3702
Happy reading!

Current mood: thankful
Oh yeah! What an amazing night it was last night in Club Asta, The Hague! The Intuition Winter Event with DJ's Menno de Jong, Jonas Steur, Orkidea, Andy Moor and Airbase was wicked!
The nice thing on their events is that a lot of people who are making music, are on those parties as well! Besides the DJ's who had to spin, I saw and spoke to Robert Nickson, Galen Behr (Passiva), Joni Ljungqvist (JPL / LNQ), Ruben de Ronde, Leon Bolier (Subsphere / Mindsensation), Misja Helsloot, Robert Burns, Thomas Bronzwaer (Arizona), Paul Moelands (Re:Locate / Octagen), Joost van der Vleuten (Latigidi), Maarten van Bergen (Amphiby) and Jan Waterman (Yanave).

All pics: http://www.sirsmirnoff.tk
My review can be found on the website of United Recordings and also on Trance.nu. Here are the direct links:
