Today was grrrrrrrrrreat! We started the day at our official Sit Projects storage facility (thank you Doma cafe). Moving 8 chairs at a time is lots of fun!

We were able to meet tons of people. And they all sat!

Rain rain go away...
For day two we built gazebo like structures for our benches...

We encountered a real dickhead living in the blue apartment at the corner of minetta and minetta. Feel free to vandalize it. So, between the all day rain and the previously mentioned fellow, the day was starting to feel like a washout. Wandering around wet and tired we found the yellow and blue chairs from day 1's 2.0 installation floating around the area. We utilized them again today.

So begins day 1 of the conflux festival...

Due to the nature of making public art installations without a permit, we began our day first day at the crack of dawn. We gathered our materials and began installing our first piece. The location is one block away from Conflux headquarters (Center for Architecture) in the NYU area. This spot has served as a hidden place for me ever since i started visiting New York.

We were happy with our classy arrangement of antique chairs from 1926. However we were very unhappy with each other. After a massive blowout we hugged and made up while walking over to Conflux HQ to sign in for registration.

Within four hours our piece was removed. Rather than feel defeated, we jumped into action!

After the paint dried, we quickly epoxied down our "new" chairs. We used the complimentary colors yellow and blue to symbolize our relationship within the context of our collaborative. We quickly were visited by someone that was more than happy to have stumbled upon us and our chairs. The first thing he said was, "You guys got a light?"
