Greetings again!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun July 4th weekend, filled with celebration, good food and good friends!

I've been very busy for the past several days designing new magnets for both of my online stores, The Flying Pig Gallery (on CafePress) and The Flying Pig Gallery Annex (on Zazzle) .

I now carry a small line of 2" x 2" square magnets at the Annex. These are perfect for small jobs, such as those notes to yourself around your desk.

I've also added a new selection of larger (2" x 3") magnets to my flagship store on CafePress. These are ideal for those heavier-duty jobs, such as holding up schedules, lists, etc. on your refrigerator. Here you can see a small selection of some of the new magnets.

Just in time for the arrival of summer (finally!), I've brought back my line of Coney Island tote bags - now with a new, expanded selection!

The redesign and changes were necessitated by my host company, Zazzle, changing their suppliers and selection for their bags. While I went back to the drawing board, I temporarily pulled these items from the store "shelves".

So check all the great new bags out at The Flying Pig Gallery Annex! There's even a canvas grocery tote, perfect for helping to lessen our dependence on all those plastic bags! (Lessening my use of those nasty things by bringing bags with me when I shop was my own New Years' resolution; so far I'm doing pretty well with it!) And there are any number of great beach bags there, perfect for bringing on your day out at Coney (or your favorite local beach)!

Another day, another batch of new merchandise at The Flying Pig Gallery Annex on Zazzle!

Well, as you may have gathered, I've been very busy lately, designing lots of new merchandise for my Zazzle store, The Flying Pig Gallery Annex. I've been expanding the scope of the store beyond just the Coney Island merchandise that I've carried there until recently; eventually I will probably be moving the flagship Flying Pig store to Zazzle, and CafePress will house the annex, as I've been much happier, in general, with Zazzle's product line and service. When that time comes I'll post an announcement about it here and on my Facebook fan page and Twitter page.

In the meantime, I'd love for all of you to check out my latest additions - stickers and postage stamps (yes, they are real, legal postage!). More new additions coming soon!

Hi all!

I've been very busy for the last few weeks, with lots of updated information. First of all, I can now be found on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/lizadeyphoto . Be sure to stop by and follow me for all the quickest, latest updates!

Secondly, I am in the process of adding lots of new products to both of my stores. In some cases, some product lines which have existed in both stores will now be located entirely in one store or the other.

I have started with adding an expanded collection of mugs to my Annex store on Zazzle. These mugs include a wider range of imagery than I have previously carried there. Hi all!

As some of you know, for the past several weeks I have been very busy creating and adding lots of great new items to my Zazzle store, The Flying Pig Gallery Annex. I'm now very excited to announce that I have created an entire line of Coney Island-themed apparel and accessories, including T-shirts for men, women, children and babies; Keds shoes for ladies and children; ties; bags and cooking aprons. Any of these would make wonderful gifts for your favorite Coney Island fans. And be sure to check back often; in the coming days I will be adding posters and prints, a 2009 Coney Island calendar, bumper stickers and more!

Hi all ~

I'm excited to announce that I've opened a new online store, at ShopIt.  Here I'll be offering matted fine art prints of some of my most popular photographs.  I've opened the store with 11 different images, and will be adding more in the future, so be sure to come back often to check it out!  And for all my fellow artists out there, this looks like another great venue to share all our wonderful work with the world.

Well, I've been very busy this summer, with both photographic work and fun.  Of course, whenever I'm having fun, my camera is usually right there as well, and now, as August starts, I've built up quite a collection of new photos.  I've been feeling particularly creative lately (in part inspired, I think, by some of my friend Tania's wonderful arty photos, as well as by the all the great work of my other new MySpace artist friends), and I've had a lot of fun experimenting with some new looks and techniques for my photos with this bunch.

As I have for many years, I spent my birthday in July at my one of my favorite places, the Bronx Zoo.  I've got several new shots of gorillas and tigers from that day; I'm particularly pleased with a couple of the tiger shots.

I also had occasion to take the ferry over to Staten Island on a day that started out overcast and foggy, and ended with a magnificent sunset.  You'll find lots of cool, foggy shots of the harbor and some great urban sunsets from this day.

And recently I spent a wonderful day wandering around the Met with my old high school friend, Alice.  I particularly enjoyed our time visiting the roof garden (Alice had never been up there before; I've only visited it once before) and seeing three of Jeff Koons' giant sculptures.  They were fantastic, reflective,  candy-colored childlike pieces full of joy and humor.  I spent a good deal of time shooting them, as well as the magnificent sunset view over Central Park.  A couple of days later I spent some time wandering around my neigborhood shooting, and it dawned on me, I don't really NOTICE my own neighborhood on a day to day basis, when I'm busy with life and errands.  But once I have my camera with me, my eyes really open up to the beauty that I see everyday around me.

Hi all!

I'm really excited to announce that one of my photographs has been chosen to grace the cover of this past week's FIRE ISLAND TIDE, one of Fire Island's two newspapers.  I love Fire Island; its my favorite place on earth, and one of my favorite photographic subjects. 

For those of you familiar with Fire Island, this was shot on the dock of Point o'Woods.

I'm thrilled with how the shot came out!  Hope you all enjoy it too!     ~Liza
