i was up for 44 hours straight starting this past wednesday morning at 8am. in that time i taught a bunch of lessons, rehearsed with Ludlow Lions, mixed the new De La Hoya songs, taught more lessons, and played a 3 hour cover gig with Dexter Lake Club Band. it was all extremely productive and quite fun, but i hope it never happens that way again....

hey everyone
this has been an incredibly busy but satisfying summer so far. i have some cool shows/tours/videos/recordings to tell y'all about:

- my old punk/hardcore band De La Hoya (featuring Aaron Scott of Attica! Attica! and Marathon, Al Fair of Nakatomi Plaza, Gunnar Olsen of The Exit and Fires of Rome, and myself) has reunited to record 4 new songs with my good friend Ali Hassan at Tainted Blue Studios for our upcoming discography entitled "The Sound Of Our Own Decay" to be released by Red Leader Records. The rehearsals and sessions have been a lot of fun and everyone is very psyched to be playing together again. There will be a reunion show or two sometime this Fall around the time of the album release; stay tuned for details!

- i went to France a few months ago and played a party at the Cannes Film Festival with Fires of Rome. you can see a video of part of that performance here: http://www.12149cannes.com/blog/?p=70

- i have been playing guitar and bass with the amazingly talented singer/songwriter Jody Shelton (along with my good friend and drummer Christopher Heinz). you can see some videos from recent performances here: http://www.youtube.com/jodyland

- i just engineered and played guitar and bass on a few recordings for Richard Grimes' project Cordis (also featuring the work of my good friends Liam Hurley and Sam Kassirer). it's very forward-sounding material and as soon as it's available to hear online i'll let you know.

- as many of you know, Nakatomi Plaza has been taking it easy for the last couple weeks as Lou has been away on his honeymoon and Al and I will be traveling for most of August. that said, we have two shows this weekend (and one later on in the month) so please come:
